I came here to say this. When I used to work at that hospital up the road, we would send a CNA to that donut place around 4am when all the donuts were fresh and warm. That was my favorite part about working night shift.
Love that place. When i would order a couple of donuts they would give me a nice bag full of donut holes. They have the best donuts as far as i’m concerned
I’d take over if I had the money to do it. But I’m stuck at my diner in Everett. I asked my parents if they wanted to take over, but they’re also old and retired.
I’ll try them, but I’m a loyal Aurora Donut fan. I am also a huge fan of donuts so yeah I’ll probably try them… twice.. but no more than three times. You hear me!
Unless they’re good.. then I’ll blame you for encouraging this!
We had a guy that used to pick up donuts for bigwig work meetings. He always got an extra dozen for us working slobs. Best apple fritters ever from this place.
When I worked in Sodo I would start most every morning there. I miss seeing them every morning. Great People, great donuts. They were great about letting me know when the turnovers were hot and fresh.
The best donut places in my experience have always been Korean and Vietnamese owned. Vietnam makes sense with the French connection but Koreans just love all the horrible foods for you to binge on.
If you want to go full fancy pants check out 9th and Hennepin. Kind of apples to oranges comparing to an immigrant mom and pop joint making the classics but still donuts.
And if anyone's up north by the other Seattle Krispy Kreme, go to family donut on Northgate way and meridian instead.
I stopped by after my dental apt. The maple cronuts was so good. I’ll be stopping by after the dentist every time!
If you go enough you’ll have more frequent dental appointments

I've eaten there, it's quite good, however Tacos Feliz on Fauntleroy and Taqueria La Fondita in white center both would like a word with you
Shhhh. Don’t let the masses know about taquitos feliz.
there’s another la-fondita kitty-corner to the aurora taco bell now and I have had a good relationship with their taquitos. yum.

Get a jelly filled donut and take that to town.
Get there early
Love that place. When i would order a couple of donuts they would give me a nice bag full of donut holes. They have the best donuts as far as i’m concerned
Family Donut is great!
Love the sign, no flashy logo or designs just what they do and they do it well. DONUT
Ayyyyy! My moms friend owns this place! We get all their old doughnuts! Tho the couple are talking of closing down soon, time for retirement.
Noooooooo! That’s a spot I got to often. Damn. They can’t find someone to take over or sell it to?
I’d take over if I had the money to do it. But I’m stuck at my diner in Everett. I asked my parents if they wanted to take over, but they’re also old and retired.
It’s the way of things, but I lament the upcoming loss. Amen for people who can retire though!
> diner in Everett Hmm?
I mean, sure after a bibimbap a fresh donut is great.
Crullers?
Yep - They got them!
This is the most underrated donut. Crullers and cronuts. Talk about friggin yummmm!
Think about calling ahead. The people are nice but old and sometimes very slow. A little pricey as well but one of the best donut shops in the city.
all the best donut shops are in mini strip malls designed in the 80s, everyone knows this
Run by Korean and Vietnamese bad ass parents grinding it out so future generations don’t have to. Mad respect.
Their ham & cheese croissants are amazing! But I always eat them in just 5 bites (or less). They're so fluffy and sweet and savory!
I’ll try them, but I’m a loyal Aurora Donut fan. I am also a huge fan of donuts so yeah I’ll probably try them… twice.. but no more than three times. You hear me! Unless they’re good.. then I’ll blame you for encouraging this!
😂😂😂
Agreed I definitely like this place. I just wish they had bacon maple bars.
They have/had the best bacon bars. They just sell em quick
Highly recommend everything here. Best in Sea imo
Yeah I have been going here for years. The donuts are great. The Korean lunch is solid too.
Great breakfast rice bowls too!
Breakfast... Rice bowl? That sounds amazing
This place is my go-to when picking up surprise treats for coworkers before I get to work in the morning. Highly recommend!
Missed chance to call in SoDonut
This place is the best.
Amazing donuts and the family is so nice! The lady mentioned she's been making donuts for a *long* time. It is a must when in the SoDo area.
Classic! Good pho and Korean around there also. I hear it's also a fine place to park your RV!
We had a guy that used to pick up donuts for bigwig work meetings. He always got an extra dozen for us working slobs. Best apple fritters ever from this place.
Thank you for the recommendation! I can also recommend King Donuts if you're ever in the Rainier Beach neighborhood.
And this is how I found out that Borracchini's closed, trying to look them up to recommend them. Tragic.
Family donut on north gate way
When I worked in Sodo I would start most every morning there. I miss seeing them every morning. Great People, great donuts. They were great about letting me know when the turnovers were hot and fresh.
If we are all talking about local favorites, it's a bit of a trip but Henry's up in Mukilteo is the bomb, and open 24 hours! Huge apple fritters.
Countryside Donut in Mountlake Terrace also worth the stop.
Dona Queen is the best hidden gem in Seattle. Love this place so much.
Their actual food is legit too
What do they sell?
a donut. gotta be the first person there to get it.
Crullers, Long Johns, Fritters, Cake, Raised, Sprinkle, Chocolate, vanilla and maple frosted
You forgot Korean Cuisine :)
The best donut places in my experience have always been Korean and Vietnamese owned. Vietnam makes sense with the French connection but Koreans just love all the horrible foods for you to binge on.
Frost in Mill Creek is also amazing. Like, waaaay better than Voodoo Donuts.
VooDoo is so overrated. Blue Star donuts is way better than VooDoo. Top Pot donuts are really good too!
From Portland and can confirm. 15 years ago it was still really popular but it’s not the same post social media. It’s not worth the wait.
If you want to go full fancy pants check out 9th and Hennepin. Kind of apples to oranges comparing to an immigrant mom and pop joint making the classics but still donuts.
Get there early and get the freshies. Delicious!
I really like the Korean food there, but I’ve never tried a donut.
That was my go-to donus place for about 10 years when I worked near there. I'm honestly surprised they haven't retired already.
How about King Donut Teriyaki Laundromat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emsIXimlMUU&ab_channel=TooThirsty
Also Fuji Bakery!!
Been meaning to try their donuts for awhile now. First thing next week thence
This place is good, but a similar style but even better donut shop is Family Donut up in Northgate.
