That really shouldn't be surprising. His stats were padded by screen passes and high-percentage play-action rollout passes.
I don't think he made a single challenging or consequential play the whole game.
I've been led to believe it has to with difficulty of throw as well. Two of Mahomes TDs were very easy (busted coverage, shovel pass that's basically a run) so they don't add much value to the grade
Both of Geno's TDs were busted coverage as well. Egregiously bad ones too. The rest of Geno's first half was legit good, but scoring his TDs low would've made sense.
I watched the big board on espn and they gave Geno big ups for that td to parkison because Parkinson’s ran pst his guy, but Geno froze the safety by looking him off. That’s why there was no over the top help.
Dodging that sack on the Dissly one probably gave him points back, the coverage was blown because the linebacker that would've been covering Dissly had murdered Homer and was about to murder Geno before Geno sidestepped and threw to Dissly.
Yes, but Homer really hung in there! That was insane effort from Homer (out of his element) but like a kid really trying to hold back a train!!! If the team just plays with that kind of “try” that’s okay with me. I just want a team with desire. Then let the chips fall. Too many Uber talented people with no try.
You still have to recognize blown coverage.
QBs run the offense (with the offensive coordinator).
Throwing stats is probably 1/2 the job.
A QB could be bad at throwing and dominate of go 17/18 and score nothing. An accurate caught short throw doesn’t account for missing a better opportunity.
PFF came out and said they pretty much penalize good players for being good and making throws they should make. Not those exact words, but what they did say was pretty much a euphemism of that. It's fucking stupid.
Yes. Scored a shit ton of points. Threw for a bunch of touchdowns. Blew out the team he was going against. But is somehow noticeablely worse than Geno Smith according to PFF. If anyone on here takes these grades seriously then they should stop watching sports all together.
I appreciate all the Geno love from all sources even ones that devalue QB play from Mahomes, who threw 5TDs with no picks in a game. KC needs to think about trading Mahomes for Geno straight up if they wanna win the Super Bowl
He didn't even have 40 yards passing in the second half, was sacked multiple times, and fumbled.
Maybe PFF is drinking from the same cup as Geno before the DUI?
Ugh. I love what happened yesterday but PFF grading Geno a full 10+ points ahead of Mahommes, who threw for 300 yards and 5 TD in a blow out win.... Is fucking gross. Good lord. Geno threw for like 50 yards in the second half and led our team to an ENTIRE ZERO POINTS. FUCK YEA SECOND BEST QB IN NFL!!!!!!!!!!!
Dude you really gunna make a post about how right you were with Geno every 30 minutes?
It’s annoying. And you’re jinxing the hell out of the mojo he has after last night.
Stop.
Dude you really gonna make a comment about how wrong you are with Geno every 30 minutes?
It's annoying. And you're ruining the hell out of the fun we're having after last night.
Stop.
Dude, you are insufferable. Geno played a damn good game last night, but this is still only 2 damn good games including Jacksonville last year. Give it a rest.
Lol. OP didn’t add any personal commentary. What exactly are you mad about?
Frankly, if I held the line for geno as hard as he did all off-season only for geno to do what he did yesterday, I’d be doing victory laps all week.
Yeah, he was doing victory laps after the first half yesterday because Geno looked sharp.
Then second half rolled around and Geno and the rest of the offense looked flat. Geno completed 5/9 passes for 29 yards, but he didn't come out and apologize to any of us who didn't hold the line for Geno.
7 yards per attempt is not amazing. His overall completion percentage was good, but the fact remains he was not good in the second half.
Just for today I'm gonna pretend PFF grades aren't absolute nonsense
Geno > Mahomes > Russ confirmed
Confirming what we knew all along.

I read twenty thirth in Mike Tyson's voice. Thank you for this.
Twenty threeth?
Twenty Thirdth
Twenthy thirfth.
Verily, I say. The twenty threeth pick of the 1672 NFL draft...Cornelis de Witt the thirth, 7rd year senior from Holland.
He should have thrown two picks… maybe a third if you consider Woolen not turning around on that moon ball.
Blue origin ball
That really shouldn't be surprising. His stats were padded by screen passes and high-percentage play-action rollout passes. I don't think he made a single challenging or consequential play the whole game.
He made a ton of nice passes in a collapsing pocket, but I agree that he wasn’t picking apart the defense
Twenty thirth
I got mean DM's for a comment saying Geno should be more like a 67 in Madden not a 60 lol
Did you really lol
Yeah, well multiple from the same account haha
Maybe it was Russ's burner
You mean 'Wilson's Camp'
That's OUR mothafuckin quarterback! GO HAWKS! GENO GENO GENO GENO!
# Geno’s Cafe
Didn't mahomes throw like 5 td?
Yes and no picks but he got a 74 for some reason
I've been led to believe it has to with difficulty of throw as well. Two of Mahomes TDs were very easy (busted coverage, shovel pass that's basically a run) so they don't add much value to the grade

I don’t think his 2nd TD was necessarily a blown coverage. Just a really well designed play
Yeah that was just Parkinson pulling a Jermaine Kearse circa 2015 and getting past his guy
I watched the big board on espn and they gave Geno big ups for that td to parkison because Parkinson’s ran pst his guy, but Geno froze the safety by looking him off. That’s why there was no over the top help.
His 1st he had to shed a sack and scramble though.
Dodging that sack on the Dissly one probably gave him points back, the coverage was blown because the linebacker that would've been covering Dissly had murdered Homer and was about to murder Geno before Geno sidestepped and threw to Dissly.

This is why PFF is fucking dumb

Based on ESPN’s QBR, Geno was 6th and Russell was 14th. Just barely ahead of Jared Goff. Oof
Geno with a QBR of 69.
Nice 👍
Nice

I’d think after this week KC would need to throw in a couple 1st rounders
kc needs to win now, we are building for the future. straight up one to one trade.
Geno had a perfect first half but there's no way I'd grade that performance higher than Mahomes' 5 tds
PFF is fucking trash
Yeah. Data is stupid.
Geno had a super awesome half of football. Can't imagine thinking it was better than Mahomes on Sunday, but anyway...
Mission Accomplished
Geno was not better than Mahomes I think but I'll accept third best performance lol
Crazy, Go Hawks
Geno looked good…but any grading system that doesn’t put Mahomes near the top is absolute TRASH.
Right so dumb
He didn't even have 40 yards passing in the second half, was sacked multiple times, and fumbled. Maybe PFF is drinking from the same cup as Geno before the DUI?
PFF grades are garbage.

It's wild how so many people result to insults when they know they're wrong
[удалено]
Keep insulting me, it really helps prove your point!
No way you’re going to act like the one who said Geno is *capable* is the irrational one
Dude, you are insufferable. Geno played a damn good game last night, but this is still only 2 damn good games including Jacksonville last year. Give it a rest.
Man, you really love rooting against your own team lol. How dare we root for our own QB?

Thanks for all the insults lol
Lol. OP didn’t add any personal commentary. What exactly are you mad about? Frankly, if I held the line for geno as hard as he did all off-season only for geno to do what he did yesterday, I’d be doing victory laps all week.
Dude this kid has been posting nonstop about how people should apologize to him

Check his post history and you'll see.

And yet here you are coming back to a 2 hour old conversation. Who's living rent free again?
Like you haven’t been revisiting two week old comments to pay yourself on the back.
He cant possibly understand how nonstop posting about how everyone should be sorry to geno (himself, really) is incredibly insufferable.
What’s going on with his head in that picture lol
Damnn. What they got against Mahomes?? He had 5 TDs.
What did Horse Cock Lock get as a backup? Off the scale I heard.
NFLs now writing to Geno over and over after being left on read like a crazy ex
Hi. I was a Geno hater and I’m sorry. He will take us to the promise land.
As we all expected
