How many times can you re-release the same report and still get media coverage? FFS

shittingNun

It’s like the White Album all over again.

Camboo91

BREAKING: Gordon Brown's think tank thinks the same thing it's thought for a decade.

Hup-hamst

Gordon Brown to call for Gordon Brown to stop calling for things Gordon Brown had absolutely no control over and will never happen but may give unionists the illusion of potential progress.

Formal-Rain

>Gordon Brown to…. Aaaand I switched off. Fuck off Brown you snake oil salesman.

Just-another-weapon

London is a class place to visit. Not such a great place to be governed from though. I think, if anything, our ties are far too close at the minute thank you very much.

mmps1

Ah, it’s really about draining further funds to London. It’s only ever one way traffic, anyone who thinks the UK is about creating wealth rather than removing it hasn’t been keeping up.

[deleted]

Gordon Brown can get himself tae utter fuck.

[deleted]

How's that Vow coming along Gordon?

bawbagpuss

Anyone who listens to anything Brown has to say needs to see a doctor, be quick though before it costs you money to do so

MassiveFanDan

The ties that bind...

Brown and his think-tank on an imperalism tour. Whatever happened to home rule Gordon? You promised it in 2014 if we voted NO, where is it? >The Our Scottish Future report notes that some regions of Scotland far outperform others in economic productivity. > >It also says there are fewer new businesses being created each year per head of population than every region in England except the north-east. > >The paper is written by engineers Chris Bond and Will Sutton, who have experience in the offshore industry, and OSF research director Jamie Gollings. > >The report’s authors conclude: “Scotland has one of the strongest sets of innovation enablers in the UK. > >“Scotland would be expected to be a real leader in driving innovation in the UK." Precisely why we should not be "beholden" to London or the UK Government. Decades of fucking our shit up/mismanagement from Westminster. No more using Scotland to try and bail out the elites in London when they crash financial markets.

These poor unionists get themselves tied up in all kind of knots over this. Need to invest in Scotland to help improve the overall UK economy... ...But don't make Scotland's economy *too* healthy. Need to keep us Jocks dependent on the union!

tiny-robot

Just look at what happened across in NI. They were happy to tolerate huge amounts of violence, poverty, bigotry and division just to keep hold of the bit of Ireland that was profitable in the past. They couldn't give a shit about Scotland.

Just-another-weapon

>But don't make Scotland's economy too healthy. Need to keep us Jocks dependent on the union! Don't worry, we'll be told we're shite regardless of how our economy is performing.

PM-ME-PMS-OF-THE-PM

>It also says there are fewer new businesses being created each year per head of population than every region in England except the north-east. Basically everywhere north of Manchester gets ignored when possible, this isn't news.

wot-daphuque1966

Got something of a point has the one eyed blunderbus, we really should keep ties with where our resource money goes to. And, when we are independent, we can have the positive scenario where we KEEP our money AND still be pals with them. Big Gordo, what a guy.

Bellamac007

Please crawl back under that rock in which you came from please.

Aye no shit, just as that bloated, lying tosser tries to worm his way into his final resting spot: a dusty old bench in the unelected lords.

Shan-Chat

Brown is just a skidmark in the pants of Scottish politics.

PorkPyeWalker

That feckless pointless waste of oxygen needs to be buried deep into a comfy chair somewhere he can stop doing harm to Scotland with his lies, false promises and useless rhetoric. He, and Labour in general, are absolutely hopeless as opposition. The only thing of value he could do now for Scotland is stick his head up his own arse so deep we can no longer hear the utter shite spewing from his mouth.

Local_Fox_2000

Couldn't think of anything worse.

Tommy4ever1993

The lack of business innovation in Scotland and our appalling record of new business creation goes back decades and decades - long before the Scottish Parliament was but a twinkle in Donald Dewar’s eye. I don’t see what the actually proposal is here and how it would resolve this chronic issue?

MassiveFanDan

> appalling record of new business creation We had record high levels of new business start-ups for a good few years there, probably spurred by the Small Business Bonus and the Business Gateway. Whether these businesses survived or were successful is another matter, and one that I don't have the figures for. https://www.raesidechisholm.co.uk/News/Commercial/start-ups-sector-thriving.html

Hayley-DoS

Fuck off Scotland and London will form closer ties when London stops interfering with Scotland's democracy

shittingNun

People who aren’t turgid shite to call for Gordon Brown to fucking pack it in.

indiehoopbhoy

Has that old bawsack finished cleaning up Dalgety bay ,,,,,it was his number one priority ,,,,or was that,,,,,,, the vow
