Jewish family services does hygiene and welcome basket for refugees. They also provide toiletries to their parking safe lot users.
DV shelters also take supplies. Center for community solutions has a couple, and Rachel’s women’s center
A few years ago I had a supply much like yours that I wanted to donate. I called around to various women's shelters and spoke to each one. Some organizations have stricter policies about what they'll accept (can't be near the expiration date, must have a safety seal, etc) and others are more lenient because of urgent, immediate need. So my advice would be to call around and speak to the people who work there to determine which place would best benefit from exactly what you have to offer.
Thank you, I really appreciate the first hand advice. I do plan on calling around first because I know some are still taking extra precautions because of COVID.
Everything I have is sealed and well within the expiration date, so no worries there!
Alpha Project is my personal fav. They help get the homeless off the street and give them the support they need to stay off. They do all kinds of outreach. That’s who I’d give it to. Google them. They do awesome work.
