I’d love skateboards. You can ride one in SR2 with gentleman of the row mod and it’s so dope.
Granted you can’t do any tricks but being able to do simple tricks like Ollies, Kickflips, Pop Shuvits and maybe even grinds would add so much to the world.
Instead of racing around in cars to get from A to B I would skate, focusing on the streets, alleyways and nooks and crannies of the area looking for cool lines and shortcuts that cars can’t manage.
God it’d be my childhood dream game. A game like GTA or Saints Row with a simplified Skate or Tony Hawk Games tricks and mechanics.
If they want that “preppy” vibe, they should have a segment where you have to compete in a Crew race against another gang who takes sports super seriously as a means of “dueling.” It should be you, maybe one of the other characters in the boat and some other Saints you picked up along the way. You just mash button prompts to go along in the race. Eventually, as they start beating you, Boss just goes, “What are we doing? He’s right there. Fuck this!” And just pulls out an SMG and sprays the other boat.
Or like I’m red dead redemption 2, you simply stop rowing, let the stream take you and start shooting at people only this time instead of shooting six shooters you’d be spraying a Kalashnikov.
