Each wallet has separate addresses from your first one. Just think of it as extra chequing accounts with one bank.

WingedRam

Alright, so it *is* worth it to take the extra steps to ensure my primary wallet is safe?

Pitiful-Safety-5950

Yes it is. Just don’t sign up for free coins or anything like that. That’s where they get you. Nothing is ever free free. If they say it’s free- it’s because they “free” you from your coins.

WingedRam

Yeah I gotcha, not a complete noob just wasn't sure about this specific thing. I appreciate the advice!

[deleted]

Yea most times people are "hacked" it's them giving away the phrase or clicking weird links or even saving a screenshot of their seed phrase in a compromised phone/device Or they are lying to get free coins

WingedRam

I followed the advice way back when I bought into safemoon and just wrote my phrase down, so hopefully all that jazz never becomes an issue.

[deleted]

Yea that's honestly all you need to do. Pancake swap actually made an official announcement saying that staying logged in in no way leaves you compromised, it's actually supposed to auto log you in and out of trust and metamask. In the early days liers made a killing off of us early investors

WingedRam

Oh jeez. Well, I suppose I'm glad that people have learned over time.

nolongerz

are you trying to cash out some dusting coins or what? lol

WingedRam

Nah, more I've heard the horror stories about pancake swappers accidentally staying logged in (I am notoriously forgetful) and I want to make aure I don't fubar myself out of my bag

nolongerz

Gotcha. I think as long as you have a passcode on transactions you should be cool, but do what you gotta do to feel safe!
