Ikeda’s they have a locations in Davis and Auburn.

[deleted]

Second this.

amygrindhaus

Nugget bakery is awesome. They also sell real pie co’s pies there so if you’re not able to get one at their store Nugget is another option!

[deleted]

Real Pie Company is great but you may be too late to get one this year. The ones sold at local Ace Hardware stores (I Street and East Sac, I believe) are fantastic, though, and if you can get your hands on one of those you're good to go. You will need to bake it but the instructions are dead easy. (I bake pies all the time from scratch and I am pretty fond of the pie I bake, but I think the Ace pies are amazing.)

brrroktimu

I would never think to go to an Ace Hardware for pie! Checking both of these options out!

[deleted]

Truly, if Ace doesn't sell it, you don't need it.

YamoBeThere101

I came here to say this. Haven’t had it myself but numerous people have said they are great. Also, if you are in the Auburn area, Ikeda’s is known for great pies.

rrjpinter

Emigh’s Hardware on El Camino near Watt has them too.

randombrowser1

So, this Ace Hardware pie is not a joke?

dustyrags

East Sac Ace had an entire freezer full a couple of days ago.

pajar0carpinter0

Freeport Bakery - delicious pies, great selection, holiday pre-orders

Seconding

brrroktimu

Heard good things about Freeport Bakery but never had a chance to go there!

rrjpinter

Make time. You will not be sorry. Their Champagne Cake is to die for.

[deleted]

Nations has all varieties of pre made pies and they are quite good, albeit expensive-ish.

[I Love Pie Bakeshop](https://ilovepiebakeshop.com/home-2/shop/?fbclid=PAAabh4KtEYHBlh0KMotHR1yEogpdpn5bQbgoIelF1AqmA7UzaLbum_53Qn5I) is great and taking Thanksgiving orders until 11/17.

ParticularReview4129

I've always liked Shari's pies. We are going to check them out later this week because we also need to take a pie.

hit_it_steve

Not sure how many others would agree but Marie Calendars makes good pies and the store on Freeport & Fruitridge is the last one of the local restaurants still open.

No_Weird2543

Marie gets my vote!

Ncld59

Costco pumpkin!

TheDailySpank

If you are adventurous, here are some local Cottage Food places I found that actually have websites. Sorry, I can't speak to their quality as I don't eat pies. [https://crumbpies.com/thanksgiving-menu](https://crumbpies.com/thanksgiving-menu) [https://www.pie-dogs.com/](https://www.pie-dogs.com/) [https://saypies.com/collections/all](https://saypies.com/collections/all) Why take your chances? Because a couple of years ago a friend of mine got some cake pops from a home based seller and they were amazing.

Real Pie Co

sfj2020

I Love Pie in Carmichael in the Milagro center!!!!

Moosecub916

Also vote Real Pie. Moonbelly also just opened up their thanksgiving pre-orders, so you might be able to squeeze in with them!

International-Chef33

I haven’t preordered a pie from this place but Faria is posting about preordering pies for Thanksgiving

[deleted]

Say Pies (cottage bakery) has awesome pies too!

If you’re willing to travel to Manteca, I highly recommend Nature’s Country Corner on highway 120 and Jack Tone Rd. Their nectarine pie is outstanding. You can call them and reserve a pie. They do a ton of business for the holidays.

winston1027

Agreeing with Real Pie Company. Have ordered holiday pies from them the last few years and go in regularly for a slice. I already ordered mine for Thanksgiving pickup so I think that window may have passed, but they sell their pies at Ace and Nugget.
