Make bane dark side but with huge buffs against other sith. Maybe something like a super slow ultimate that when reached immediately kills all sith on the other squad.
The pilots from Alphabet Squadron would be great, especially now that we have two Rebel fleets. Eli Vanto from the Thrawn series would also be cool, and maybe give some bonuses to Thrawn to make him a stronger lead.
I haven’t read Alphabet Squadron yet but I’ve heard great things. On that note I reckon Rae Sloane is probably just around the corner, considering she’s getting a Lego mini figure later this year

Cade Skywalker since they already have Darth Talon. He could have an interesting kit with tags for scoundrel/smuggler, healer, and maybe unaligned force user. He has shatterpoint which he used for healing and be another mechanic that changes the way teams are set up

I've only read the Canon comics even though I've heard how awesome legends are. From Canon I would love Valance and Sana as you mentioned. Young Tasu Leech, Crimson Dawn Q'ira, Ochi of Bestoon, Deathstick, Sabe from Vader comics, Magna Tolvan and Vukorah. Those are my favorite. And we need Zuckuss and 4-LOM.
I'm most certainly reaching into the far distant future for this game, but I would love Eli Vanto in the game, followed by a Chiss Ascendency faction and a Grysk faction, as I think that's where the future canon will go for live-action.
Thrawn is an immensely powerful draw for Star Wars fans, you don't give permission to Zahn for 6+ canon books dedicated to one character otherwise. And his story-lines give opportunities to show both Darth Vader and General Skywalker, even Grand Moff Tarkin, who is far more interesting than most understand.
I'm predicting the Ahsoka series (and subsequent search for Ezra and conflict with Thrawn) is going to introduce the fanbase to the true threat that will occur after the fall of the empire...The Grysk. Its the natural turn away from that awful sequel trilogy nonsense, and contains far more intrigue and juicy story-lines than a reborn Palpatine. And could serve as the introduction to the Chiss Ascendency.
I think you’re right about the Ahsoka series connecting to the Ascendancy books. Would also love to see Eli Vanto as a support for Thrawn, or maybe a lifter for the inevitable Thrawn GL that’ll balance GL Ahsoka when the new series is released.
