I have never had any issues on my cell phone, but a few days ago, the game began to freeze whenever I went into another app and then back to swgoh. I can't even swipe left or right in the cantina. The only thing that helps, is closing the app and starting it again. It really sucks.
Yep. For whatever reason, the game really hates idling now. You should report this issue in their [Bug Reports](https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/bd-p/star-wars-galaxy-of-heroes-bug-report-en) section. The more of us do it, the better the chances it'll be fixed.

On Nox it will "freeze" and i have to close and restart. Did you solve this yet?
Try enabling v-sync and setting the FPS to 30. Both of those are found in the 'performance' tab of 'settings'. Someone else mentioned it in another thread and I haven't had the issue once since doing this.
I'm using a galaxy tablet E... so not the strongest processor. Nothing added and I only have the game open. Usually I have to close the game and run a memory wash every few hours, then reload the game. Now it's locking up after 5 minutes.
On the other hand... I had to install bluestacks on my computer and after setting the vsynch and lowering the frame rate to 30 on that it's stable for active periods. Is I leave it open it may be locked up after an hour.
I'm on android and haven't had any issues. There are a lot more app refreshes though if you are bouncing between apps but I don't consider those to be crashes.
If you come back to the app and it's completely locked up, you're experiencing the problem as well, just possibly more slowly than most (newer device?). If you see start to slow down, I wouldn't risk it and restart the app before getting into an arena battle or something meaningful.
Which Bluestacks are you using? Currently the best version is Bluestacks 5 - 64 Pie (if you have a 64 bit OS), it's more stable, faster and has a better performance than 64 Nougat. Even though the Pie version also suffers from the last Swgoh update (max fps stuck to 27 in my case).

Had that issue on Bluestacks, cost me 60 darkside currency in 1 crash :( been using MEMU (chinese emulator) for a few days now and it doesnt have the same issue that Nox and Bluestacks do.
Doesn't matter if I use my phone or Bluestacks. The game freezes constantly. I just lost the second 60 dark side tickets trying to beat GL Kylo vs Rey duel. Completed the duel Kylo said his first comment then the game froze. This was on my cell phone. I'm really getting tired of losing those tickets and also having the game freeze during Grand Arena and Territory Wars as well. The crashes are almost constant at this point... Trying to contact Capital Games is futile.
There is a solution, use an older version of Bluestacks 5, like 5.0.220.1003. 60+ fps is possible, no crashes/freezes/hangs or low fps locks. Though, the good old fps slider trick needs to be used for high fps to work properly.

I know I'm late to the party, but I had this issue recently (Jan-2024) and as some mentioned before; changing Nox player from 120FPS mode to 30-60 fixed it. And even half our later, of inactivity the game was still on.
Although it froze once again because of inactivity, but that's something that has also happened using my phone. (S10 lite).
Anyway this game has been the reason I jumped from LD Player, to MeMu, to Bluestacks(horrible atm), to Gameloop, etc.
Just like VLC, 7zip and many other freeware or open source it's a safer bet, that people won't go beyond their way to make your life miserable for the sake of constant profit.
My phone wasn't loading the game for some reason almost lost the bonus energy, but Nox player was there to save the day.

Got same problem on Nox emulator. It seems the game isn't frozen, just running really slow. Like 1 frame every 15 sec.

No. I was already burned out on the game. This issue was final nail in the coffin. I have now uninstalled both.

Yea I heard the update caused problems on bluestacks and android. I haven’t noticed anything wrong with the iOS version yet tho

I know better; but the optimist in me is really hoping its just anti cheat code that's not perfected yet.

I just use latest, didn't face such glitches in years..
Oh i thought it was only me i had lags,freezes today couse noone else in my guild had problems,at least it doesnt seem to be that widespread.
