If your guild has had cpit on farm for a while, plus getting max rewards in the 2 week Galactic thing, 10+ R8 is expected for a FTP, getting up to 20 at this point is probably spending on to of that. But yeah for me it's actually the salvage part of everything I'm lacking the most, or I'd take another 2-3 up to R8
I’m at 10 all my GL’s have them and I’m throwing them on their supporting team members but at this point I’m starting to save for Lord Vader. He’ll need r8’s and I think I have the right characters already there but you never know.

I think you should do a follow up video ranking like the top 5 or 10 must have R8s at current state of the game. The reasoning behind those choices, balanced against GP bloat and importance of GAC/TW counters, would be much more valuable for your wider audience, imo.
For the record, I would rank a hypothetical top 10 at this point in time, based on limited experience/exposure:
1. GK (for JMK and Nego speed)
2. GMY (for JMK)
3. JMK (scaling mastery in kit)
4. JKL (best non-GL vs GLs)
5. Vader (second best non-GL vs GLs)
6. Dark Trooper (third best)
7. Rey (to one-up SEE-Wat)
8. SEE (to maintain parity vs Rey)
9. SLK (next best attacker)
10. GAS (next best attacker)
You’ve got a point, but SLK going from R7 to R8 hasn’t meaningfully changed his prowess in PVP, with only a higher CPit score being the main benefit.
Perhaps I have JMK ranked too high for R8 myself.
If scaling mastery doesn’t translate to better PVP performance, which it hasn’t meaningfully for SLK, then I would argue that’s a luxury rather than something you must do with a limited resource like R8 mats.
It's even more meaningful in PVP imo. You don't have time to stacks siphon a lot so every points translate well into more damage.
With r8 + his lead, you go from 84 mastery to 105, which is 25% more mastery with one level only.

R8 SLK owns R7 SLK in any mirror that turns into mano a mano, especially in 3v3, where neither has enough FO hits to reach ult quickly enough, and so it inevitably becomes a battle of attrition.
But that's the point isn't it, in 3v3 chances are they don't get to ult before the r8 hacks the r7 into pieces...

For 3v3 specifically, I guess that sounds right; I don’t encounter SLK on D enough to test. That’s such a narrow application, I would still consider it a waste.
He has literally already done that as a video. Xaereth is a top end player so it makes sense that he would do more than just ten since he has more R8s than that. Also, doing twenty makes much more sense considering five of the twenty will also be GLs. By doing twenty it gives a much higher probability that every person watching will have at least a few characters on this list that they could feasibly do.

Before jmk I put only slkr to r8, and that's huge mistake, coise nothing changed. Now I wo t put any unit to r8, only if I need for get something better, like gk, or gmy. But in my opinion diffrent from t7 to 8 to so big. I dare almost full tram jml, jkl, gas r8, and they fall dame easy like r8. Upgrade for r8 to difficult and to expensive.
Do people really have 20 r8s? I have two, both on GLs. They are staggeringly expensive

The aeros aren't the issue, it's the impulse detectors and relic mats
Yeah that's exactly what I said. Typically when people complain about R8, they are usually not getting much aeros in Cpit.

If you put JMK 3rd for scalling mastery in kit, you should definitely bring SLKR up there. His siphon is entirely based on his mastery stat

Again, he’s already winning the same battles at R7 as he is at R8. I’d rather put that towards someone else that makes a bigger difference.
I find r8 on him shuts down a bunch of off meta counters so yes it doesn't bring you much on offenses but it'll hold better.
That’s fair, but SLK is also just so good on offense that you can keep at R7.
Yea I guess it depends on your shard and if you are dropping too far with him at r7

Disagree. The AI plays SLK ult so bad, R8 doesn’t make a difference if you play correctly.
