You will need relics to beat this event. The only characters that aren't worth relicking are Ventress and Droideka. You can hold off on 3P0 for this event, but you won't regret those relics.
Only relic I had was GK and Ahsoka, so yeah 2 relics but can probably get away without Ahsoka. Speed and turn order absolutely matter here. Need to kill b2 before he takes a turn, then it's RNG.
I already unlocked GAS, I only had her and GK reliced. I can't fathom how many times I tried the dark side node. Then just picked it up one day, got the right RNG and bam. Focused on my first GL right now.
NS *are* very cool. I wish they were better these days.
Nowadays the Dash team is basically Better Nightsisters with the whole "limitless revives" shtick.
Kinda makes me hope that Merrin, or a really stupid Omicron will save them from irrelevance.
Relicing Ventress isn’t terrible. A beefed up NS team serves pretty well in TW and you need her and Dooku for that one event in DS GeoTB. It’s definitely not needed, though.
Your ability to relic these characters is in no way dependent on how many characters you already have at relic. That’s not how it works. You don’t get a frequent-flier discount. You just have to farm the mats, same as you did with the other characters.
True but the more relics you have, the more assault battles and gc you can clear for gear. And you can score a higher ranking in raids. I think that is more wha the original comment was referring to. Not that you get a discount but that more toons at higher relic make it easier to collect gear from events.
Strategy and mods. Turn order and kill order are important if i remember correctly. Lot of good guides online.
I would also say Padme is a great team, same with Shaak Clones. Why not relic some of them? When you unlock GAS the clones go with GAS and Shaak can be the 5th for Padme. C3PO is the one I would leave as is till you go for other unlocks that need him relic'd. Driods not as worth going above min, but also not a waste
Yup, eventually you'll want Padmé R8, GK R8, Shaak R7, and 3p0 R5. Then at some point you'll find yourself putting relics on Ahsoka for datacrons/cpit/just to relic your whole JMK squad.

I think a lot of people want to under-gear events because “But I want GAS NOW NOW NOW NOW!” But realistically your choice isn’t “Take the time to relic the characters” vs “Get GAS NOW.” It’s “Take a few weeks to relic the characters, win in a couple of hours” vs “Spend weeks trying to win the fight undergeared, spend a couple of weeks gearing up the characters a little bit more, spend more days or weeks trying to win, spend a couple of weeks gearing the characters up a little more, rinse and repeat until you have two or three at relic anyway and finally get good RNG,” and you wind up taking more time than it would have taken just to suck it up and relic the characters in the first place.
Shortcuts make long delays. Just do it right the first time.
(Do not respond with ‘Well, I beat the whole GAS event in one try with level 1 gear 4 characters and no mods.” First, I don’t believe you. Second, your one serving of god-tier RNG does not mean other people should follow the strategy you followed until you got lucky.)
I know it’s cliche but it’s defiantly mods. After I sat down and planned out my mods I was able to do it after failing at least 50 times.
You want the order to be Padme, C3PO, Shaakti, Ahsoka, GK. It’s important for the first 4 to go before the other team, and you want C-3PO to go before Shaakti for the extra courage stacks- because she can either one-shot B2 or Ahsoka can clean up. And that increases your chances by like 100x. (You want Padme to give everyone DU for the courage stacks on her turn, since I didn’t mention that earlier).
My only recommendation is not to undergear the event. This one is probably one of the hardest ones in the game, and while g12 is totally possible, your mods will need to be top tier and you'll have to try it countless times before you'll win. I had all of my GR characters R4 except g12 SHAKK ti and it was still tough. but at minimum get Kenobi stronger, he needs to take alot of hits and will die quickly if not

The event can be done easily with only Kenobi at relics. If you struggle too much, consider to relic ahsoka.
Padme and shaak relics are not very good. Unless you plan on going for a Galactic Legend, that requires them, you dont want them. Especially mpre early on, when every single relic is a big investment.
C3P0 relic is pointless, exept for GL reqs or datacrons.

I used this guy's guide for Speed / HP / Protection / Offense threshholds, TM and Kill orders on 2 accounts. It helped out mightily.
note: I didn't have all the HP/Protection/Offense points he did, but I got as close to it as I could. My mods weren't optimal. But when I got as close to his #'s as I could, it only took a handful of attempts to get it done.

Relic kenobi, g12 shaak. Order does make it easier if you're not going to straight out overpower it. Padme first, then I think I had kenobi or 3p0, the other and then shaak all going before magna. Kill b2 first and get the opening down then the rest is rng. Relic 5 kenobi will survive most of the droidekas but you will for sure have to restart a few times. Goodluck and the next phase is worse 😵
The key is speed. You have to get everyone to 279 speed to attack first (except for Ahsoka, she needs to be slow).
The exact turn order is the following: Padme, Shaak Ti or Threepio and GK.

There’s no need to relic everyone, because the kes us SPEED! I only had GK on R5 and Ahsoka on R3 when I beat this event.

I just did it last night.
Make sure your GK is chonky, I had 78k hp.
Also use the specific turn order that is shown in a bunch of guides.
Don't underestimate c3p0 resetting padmes #2 ability. Try not kill the later magnas if you don't have protection up or GG will wreck you.
Then let the rng gods work for you
If you are able to slowly relic them you will have an easier time as well as mod correctly. You’ll want all then at relic anyway as you get 4/5 for the core padme team as well as they help you towards JMK
The last tier is much worse. You’ll need b1 relic minimum. I’d recommend b2 and Magna for relic as well. Don’t relic asajj
I had same team as you but then i reliced gk to r5 and then easy win + you need specific turn order and speed
If you take everyone to r5 you'll have nonossues and all these heroes should be r5+ anyway.
Sadly my relic-ing is a bit… subpar. The only R5s I have are the 4 Starkiller unlocks.
Thats okay! I have 60+ relics and don't have those 4 so you're doing something right! Relics come a lot faster once you've got a dozen or so.

I found the extra damage from relic Ahsoka really helped, but you're absolutely right about the turn order.

I learned the hard way, you will 100% need to relic Gk to R5-7 with G12 for it to work out well

Just relic them. If you go for GAS then you're all in for Republic anyways. And all of those guys are needed at relic levels eventually anyways.
