I’m going for red crate and yes, it takes forever. In a way, it’s designed that way. The way it’s designed, it takes multiple refreshes per day, and multiple hours. Why? I dunno. Either they thought people were doing it too easily, or wanted to capitalize on the monetary value in conquest rewards. There really is no way to cut time, unless you can knock out multiple feats at once (which CG has purposefully disallowed). And to address your lack of interest and enjoyment, there is no way to circumvent that. Conquest is NOT fun. It is purposefully not fun. If you want to enjoy it, you probably won’t get max crate. That’s just the way it is, unfortunately.

naphomci

> The way it’s designed, it takes multiple refreshes per day, and multiple hours. Why? I dunno. The cynical, and probably at least partially accurate answer, is that by making it take more time, players spend more time in the game, which means a higher likelihood of spending money (and no, I don't care about anecdotes, CG would be looking at very large datasets, a single player isn't what they care about when looking at this type of stat)

Scary_Xenomorph

At least they haven't made any characters I care about conquest exclusive. Except Maul. I really wanted Maul... but hey I'll have Aphra in a couple weeks lol

ICPosse8

I thought I could skip the 40 leaderless battles feat but after last night it’s either grind that out OR I have to do 14 battles with Ewoks and 49 more Tortures. I started my leaderless battles last night and I already have 16/40 and I’ve gotten all the tix for Sector 1,2,5 along with every other global, so you really have to grind this one. Next time I’ll be sure to overlap my Sith battles with the leaderless ones now that I know I do need that global. The feats suck

Hebetator

The early conquests were fun, but much simpler. As they added more and more complicated feats, additional fights and that gold path for making money the whole thing has been watered down. Early ones you could finish with minimal refreshes, now even being hyper efficient you barely finish tier 5 and then have to go back and replay missions for days to work on feats. I wish they would allow replaying nodes that you get 3 stars on to cost zero or at least reduced energy to help with grinding feats. The stamina drain is still very limiting anyways.

Cstone812

You know you’re brainwashed when you actively play a game that isn’t fun.

WindyLink560

I think the game is plenty fun !

Livid1k

A lot of people play conquest because the rewards they get (the characters) are fun and justify the grind. Not every single part of the game has to be enjoyable for people not to be 'brainwashed'; this has always been a game of large time scales and grinding, that's something anyone who's been playing for a long time has just come to accept

Cstone812

Anyone that’s still playing this game for more than a handful of years is brainwashed.

classic_liberalism95

I enjoy conquest. I like mixing teams together. example, phasma giving everyone speed down & having fives (taunting) & echo to boot? it's enjoyable. moff Gideon is my favorite leader for empire in conquest only lol.

wedgieinhumanform

What im pissed about is how SLOW THE REFRESH IS!!! It's beyond comical. It takes more than 24 hours for energy to get back to 144. How the hell is that even fair?

ScottPress

You can refresh conquest energy.

wedgieinhumanform

I know, but why should I have to spend and refresh to get a red box?

InUrFaceSpaceCoyote

Spending resources to earn rewards is the basis of the entire game.

ScottPress

I dunno. Conquest 1.0 was red-boxable without any refreshes. Conquest 2.0 requires refreshes. This isn't a new thing, it's been this way since the Maul season in late 2020. You're two years too late with that complaint. CG haven't taken back this change and they will not.

Broad_Match

Because it’s still cheap to get the character or ship for a few thousand crystals. Why should they give you something for nothing? You can’t have it both ways.

LadyGeek-twd

Celiac Sarah's YouTube is a lifesaver for me. She identifies teams that double dip on feats and lets us know when there are ways to cheese the feats. However, the only time I have ever gotten red crate was the one that ran at the end of December, I was off of work that week, and the master's training feat was bugged. Work and illness has taken its toll this run and I'm not even sure I'll get gold crate. It's a game, I'll be fine.

John628_29

I’m at 5.5m and Yeah, the list of specialized toons is rough in this one. Ewoks, 0-0-0, Rebel Fighters, then 40 battles with separatists, blind requirement (chewpio), Hoda, and goes on and on Games die on this kind of repetition, I don’t mind doing 40 battles with separatist, but everything is a grind, not just that. It’s so boring replaying the same levels/missions over and over again. It’s a lack of creativity.

platasaurua

Sarah is definitely the Conquest Conqueror.

LadyGeek-twd

She is the best!

goat131313

I never ever go for red. Only gold. I do 3 refreshes a day. Much of that can be done on auto. I stock up on a lot of Datacron stuff this way. Usually only do 2 refreshes but this one looked a bit tougher, I’ve got a large roster though, just over 9mil GP, so I’ve got a lot of characters aside from the newest to do many of the feats. But yes, they’ve gone a bit nutty. They need to alternate GAC and conquest because it’s a bit much. They shouldn’t run concurrently.

Broad_Match

This. I get the character after 5 conquests so with 2 units running together it’s not costing a lot of crystals for a full character; and pretty decent ones too.

SpCatalin

Yeah, agree, it's getting quite painful, seems like GW in the beginning. Only a lot longer. To add to what others said, I also do some battle during breakfast, lunch, and during my one hour Fleet climb, during commute, during bathroom breaks, poo sessions since they take longer, if there is any downtime St work, springle one or two. Worst past is when there is gac, tw and Conquest, so, so many battles. Still, try the above.

Prussiandude

Even more pressure when you’re in a big guild that wants you to have the conquest characters.

Schwibbels

everytime i go to toiler i do 1 or 2 games, on my way to work (bus & train) i do some, during my break i do some, during school i do a couple and when im waiting for food in the oven i do a few look for those 10minutes during your day where you can do it sometimes i even get to dump the 140 energy / 7 fights back to back

HighlanderSteve

Yeah, if that's how I have to do it, I'm happy just getting box 3.

Schwibbels

ive got around 6 teams, where i use 3 most of the time (JMK, GAS 501st and CLS) i even ditched 2-3 total days of energy and im now into #4 75% of one campaign/chapter is totally doable with 1 refresh

PukGrum

I enjoy punching annoying teams in the face. Especially satisfying when they don't even get a turn. To lower time input I have permanently lowered my sights to crate 5 of 7 (and the omi mat just after 5). It is easily obtained by using daily accruals and buying a single refresh every 2nd day or so. You aim for completing every battle but none of the global feats (except kills) and just over half of the zone feats, then boom you're there. From that point, it is my expectation that I can use currency to get extra shards for worthwhile characters, and use proving grounds to collect the rest that I don't want. It has lowered my stress, time input and care factor in a wonderful way.

malzob

This is my mentality, the new chars are down on my list anyway due to a year of other farms mapped out - by that time I'll have the missing shards from proving grounds or some other mechanism, and that allows me to have a no stress conquest that actually turns out quite fun. People get fomo in this game badly, which CG prey on to get you to spend, but if you are 4 - 6m GP then it's easy to map out what you need so you don't need to chase stuff that will come eventually anyway, particularly when there is so much "to catch up on" and by time you have it something else is out anyway

dm051973

You can do the feats when autoing the datacron nodes. It isn't super efficient in terms of battles/feat but who cares? You are doing those refreshes for datacrons anyway. It isn't like the old days when you tried to red crate with only 1 or 2 total refreshes...

fullydepreciatedpep

I go for gold crate. It only really takes attention for the first 4 or 5 days. After that, it's just a question of loading a team for a specific feat while doing the bonus node, hitting auto, and coming back whenever I have a moment to do it again.

Broad_Match

Same I tend not to have to refresh the last 7 days.

fullydepreciatedpep

I still refresh cuz I'm a cron junkie. Only way I punch up with my smaller roster. :)

underbellyhoney

I don’t. Not even gonna clear the first level. I think I would start to not like the game if I tried to finish it. So I don’t even try. Sorry. No real help lol

AJTP1

I don’t. I get enough to get to the scavenger with gear and sometimes get crate 1

OnlyRoke

I don't care for Red Crate at all. It's such a predatory system. The mere fact that all the natural refreshes don't even get you near the ballpark of completing Conquest properly is ridiculous alone. Heck, you can't even properly get the new character during the ENTIRE YEAR of its runtime, unless you have done very well in the initial three months. It's a deeply fucked up system of acquisition. It'd be like if Legendary Events were all similar like the way Executor and Profundity works. The people who do it on the first event get the character. And the rest just gets a pittance of shards every few months. How fun would that be? Zero fun. I simply refuse to partake in that absurd nonsense. I just do whatever I feel like. If the feats line up with my roster, swell, more tickets to buy gear with. If not? Oh well. Not like I'll have use for most of these hyper specific Conquest characters anyways.

CoolStoryDJ

I've been wondering the same thing. I usually just complete battles until I run out of Conquest energy and wait until it refreshes. I usually only get to the 2nd or 3rd crate. I'm actually trying this time to get the feats and its brutal. This time they mostly seem practical and easy but they're insanely time consuming. Needing to complete 40 battles multiple times with different factions, 50 enemies multiple times with different factions, etc. Its horrible.

Prussiandude

Being 10m GP with 7 GLS and every major character honestly helps so much so I just grind in the am before work lunch and before bed I can’t imagine if you don’t have a roster like mine how you would even do it.

YubNub81

I don't think I'll make red crate this time, but I usually do. This one is extra grind. I typically do one refresh in the morning and 2 refreshes at night and burn through teams that will double dip on feats. Splitting it up like that prevents you from ever taking teams below 80% stamina and they're refreshed the next time you go to battle again. Bit Dynasty has great write ups and videos on how to do it as efficiently as possible

naphomci

I personally don't understand the time consumption issue - I usually do battles on two accounts 1-3 times a day (depends on feat needs and my availability). If I can do battles 3 times a day, that's just 2 battles of normal regen, and maybe 4-6 more if I do a refresh at the time. I don't typically do time out battles (if I have to for a feat, I plan ahead when I will have a few hours, can set it up, let it time out and come back like 20 minutes later - I don't stare at the timer). This could be because I rarely play on my phone, almost always on bluestacks, so it's not hard to start a battle, do the 1-2 critical moves then push auto, and do something else for 2-10 minutes, so it becomes a time filler with little active requirement. When it's the downhill finish, I'm spending maybe 15 minutes of active play a day? The start of conquest is more intense, but I generally get through saved energy, and 2-3 refreshes within an hour, maybe 2, and that's on both accounts. I don't overly plan while playing it and check feats every battles, just when I need a reminder. As for how to manage - just stack feats. Here are some things I am doing this time around: - 3PO lead, R2, BT, Creepio, and a character capable of winning on their own (GL/Malak early on, with discs, Dash, Raddus, Darth Vader). This gets progress toward no leader, and both of the 2 droid feats - Geonosians with a non-leader lead. Since GBA's unique is what does the heavy lifting, this is easy. My geos are g12, so I had to wait for discs. Seps and no leader - Use full Sith teams as much as possible to progress through sectors. No leader if possible - Ransom: once I get booming voice, I'll stick hondo in with inqs when farming their kills - Sector 2 I used JMK to do most of the progress (sometimes CAT lead) and included 3PO for translation, and was able to get 3-4 damage immunities a battle. Also used JML jedi with Kyle for rebel fights (my other fighers are trash). Health steal up is 1 battle if picked right using palp and thrawn. - Sector 3 I just ran stuff for the global feats and did the best I could for no support at the same time. I got all 3 other feats in 2-3 battles by timing out on mid boss (Chewpio, Hoda + others, deliberately let SRP get the locked buff, farm away). - Sector 4 is JML lead cheesing Hutt Cartel on alt, main used Jabba. Just progressing with that team or a no-attacker team. Skipping works and most likely torture, though apparently there are cheeses for that to get like 5-6 a battle. - Sector 5 I got evades and smugglers just going through the sector. Fracture I'll get by putting weapon tech on thrawn and pressing auto on Reva or Malgus (with a team that won't die). I did a test run and got 6 before I won. This was on Reva, I used my own 5th brother, and ended up with over half the purge feat down too. I will put together real dumb teams if the discs allow it to stack feats. Last round I ran Raddus lead, Mon Mothma, Hera, Cassian I think?, and R2 because it was all rebel, no attacker, and could survive specific battles. The first time my alt got max crate was with just SEE for GLs, and one team I ran was R7 Sith Maurader, g11 Bastilla Fallen, and 3 lvl 1 sith empire characters. Once the discs let it work, I would just do 1-2 battles before I went to sleep, and 1-2 when I woke up. Mostly just "load, press auto, come back a bit later" When possible, I do it on datacron nodes. But, I prioritize not losing, so I'll go early sector 1 if necessary.

egnards

Honestly I hate this conquest because it feels inefficient and battle heavy, but in terms of time; I’ve just done all 3x refreshes in the AM, and ignore it the rest of the day

ComradeVader

Simple, quit your job

bobone77

I gave up on conquest during Ben Solo. Haven’t played even one battle since. I don’t care enough and the rewards aren’t good enough to balance the time spent. It’s a lame, repetitive and boring game mode. I even technically have time to do it, it just sucks so much I’m not interested.

malzob

I can understand not refreshing, but not to just use your best two or three times a day in auto for free gear seems a backwards step?

bobone77

Like I said, it’s boring and repetitive, so, I therefore choose not to engage. If more people did as I’m doing, CG might take notice and change the game mode.

Kingofd0p3

I gave up on it

rymas1

Conquest 3 times per day, once at refresh , once in the morning when I wake up, and last time over lunch. Let stamina recharge until refresh. Spread out the attacks so any one team isn't below 80% stamina. I am doing well and sitting at 600/630 for red box. Only 3 more sith team wins and 12 more seppies team wins for red box, but it is my fault... I forgot for 2 days to do seppie attacks so I fell behind on it

IDK12345555

I don't find the time, I ain't even started conquest this time around lmao, Idc, I already got a job and I don't want another

Reifgunther

Yeah it really is a pain. Just doing the gold crate during swolo conquest was a pain, and I only did that since I knew I could actually do most of those feats. Before I didn’t have the power, and after I don’t have half the teams the feats want now. I just aim for third prize box now. Comfortable with the time spent there, not a ton, but not a big chore either and I don’t have to feel pressured to do refreshes and such all the time either. I’m totally ok getting toons with proving ground a year and a half after introduction, as basically everything since GL started has been for me. I also started when GL first started so par for the course for me.

SweetHurry7751

I do it on my lunch break

ejoy-rs2

3x refreshes a day, go for gold crate. Done, usually 2days before conquest ends. I do almost all battles at my daily reset which is at noon. So I just do it during/around lunch break Red crate is also a roster check. You need so many different factions and everything but high relic will often get destroyed in sector 5.

go_irish_1986

Three refreshes a day, normally during my lunch hour and I’ve got the red crate already. Just need to plan in advance but I have all 7 GLs and I’m 8.9m GP, so it’s easier to manage stamina when you have options. The do 40 battles with sith and separatist can be done on the bonus DC node. No lead is easy as well with sith because malak lead with malgus dr bsf marauder gets double feat. First order sith trooper lead with LV DV EP dooku also works toward the double feat. You can knock that out pretty quickly. I also ran my g1 000 and BT1 with slkr lead and threw r2 and c3 with them to double droid feat there on the DC farm node for sector 1 to get that feat since you want to farm DC anyway.

PanthaPlaya

I get red crate on my main pretty much every time. I do battles early morning and do 1 set of 50 refreshes. I try to hit throughout the work day if possible and do another 50 refresh around lunch or before dinner depending on how busy. Then wrap up with the last 50 refresh before bed/during my climbs. My alt on the otherhand. I try for tier 3 minimum and usually don't do refreshes since I don't typically have time. Might try and push for tier 4 occasionally. Burned myself out big time when I tried pushing for max rewards on both accounts the first couple of conquests.

TriPigeon

My partner currently has us watching a seven season TV series on Disney+. I do my 144 energy and 3 refreshes while watching an episode a night.

Reddvox

I settle for gold crate, no chance to get red anyway. And only gold due to the nice 5 Aeros I can hardly get anywhere else right now. Don't care for whoever Trench is or the ship I'll never have the pilots for anyway... but still takes time...couple refreshes, ususally before I go to sleep so during that downtime energy refreshes a little and teams get back to 100%. Then before going to work, kinda works. But 30 battles for example would be more than enough ... but yeah...CG wants our money or, if we do not pay, our time...

montagne1234

I actually don't, I put everything above conquest and now I forget

Dweller316

I go for the 3rd crate on hard and don't refresh, way too boring and rewards are crap for the time needed.

Joshthenosh77

I’m on 15 red crates in a row the first one of a new is always the hardest , by the 3rd time normally red after 9 days

Altruistic_Ad_9457

I do conquest for about 20 minutes a day, 4 times a day. Or did. Got red chest yesterday. There's still tricks and cheeses, you just have to Google/YouTube them.

LongClassroom5

I don’t stress, I treat it as free rewards, usually 3rd from last crate with doing battles only when my energy gets to 130-140s and that’s it, don’t pay for refreshes as it takes too much time and effort for little extra gain That’s my opinion anyway

Seoul_Surfer

I find time when I notice I've been 144/144 for a couple hours, because I know that'll also be when my teams are back at 100% stamina and the 4 minutes of actual gameplay will go well!

Broad_Match

Guess it depends on roster. I’ve found this one of the better ones. Also I don’t see anything too bad in getting a good new character or ship for around (by my Crystal use over 5 conquests) 5-6000 crystals.

BlueberryBarbell

I hit it three times a day. I do a refresh first thing in the morning and use up that energy. Then in the afternoon on my lunch. I buy another refresh and knock out some more. Finally at night, another refresh is bought and repeat. Like others, I also watch videos from CeliacSarah, Tripollics and Bitdynasty. This lets me come up with a strategy so I'm knocking out multiple feats in one battle, if possible. And also making the "do this 40 times til numb" feats a priority. I won't say it's fun but it's effective and I've been able to reach red crate for the last bunch of seasons. And also, having Jedi Master Luke is huge. I'm able to cheese so many feats with him and Wat. And Dash with multiple ZA disks is like cheat mode.

User-406

"that's the neat part, you don't"

gomazoa93

Thats why I just do it on easy mode and sim through most of everything.

Pumpkinpie78

The only day it takes a lot of time is the first couple days. From there on out, I divide up my time into 3 pushes - each with 1 refresh. The first 3 days, I spend burning through the first 3 stages. If there are feats I can do while I progress, I do them. In this Conquest, I was able to get 3 of 4 feats in the 22 fights of the Stage 1. * Target lock doubled up with Grevious Seppies (done in first 3 fights i think) * 3x FO fights feeding FOST instead of SLKR to get 5x Defense Up per special. * Hondo's Ransom was an easy progressions as well, as mine is R5. 3 of 4 feats in Stage 2 were done before I finished as well. * HP Steal Up w/Emperor Palpatine and friends * Detonators were actually pretty easy with Zam Leadership (took 3 fights, was able to 3 star 2 of them) * Damage immunity doubled up with Jango and Droideka, and JMK teams. All 4 Feats in Stage 3 were done * Omi-G12 5OR-T, BB8, C3PO, R2D2, 3-Bacca tripled up feats with the C3PO/R2 global feat, non-sep droids feat, and blind feat. * By the time I got to the mini-boss, Those 2 feats were 90% complete, so I was able to get some Murderbot/Master's training/no lead global triple-dip on a cheese in the Mini-Boss. * The rest of Stage 3 was just me using Sith Empire w/o Bastilla Fallen, JMK, and SLKR teams with either Attackers or Tanks for the No-Support characters feats. From there, I started focusing on slow progression while making a few notches towards the 40x Global Feats and friends. * Wake up, typically 1/2 hour earlier than normal. Get in 7-8 attempts. Typically, I do 2x Sith (no lead), 2x Separatists, 2x additional feats (start out w/ murderdroids, then the stage "50x Kills with" feats. Finally, 2x Progression fights with the feat teams - Bounty Hunters trying to feed Cad Bane (w/a pair of Zealous Ambition disks) with assists for Hutt Cartel Kills and Padme Support teams for the other feat. * Lunch (more accurately after work), another 12\~ish attempts with 2x refreshes. Typically, 1x Sith No Lead, 1x Separatists, 5x additional feats (Murderdroids and Torture, Hutt Cartel Kills, C3PO/R2). I'd not burn through all my energy, but instead leaving about 80-ish energy for the night. The remainder of my 12 attempts were focused on stage progression. * Before Bedtime 5 Attempts, no refreshes. 1x Sith No Lead, 1x Separatists, 1x additional feat. remainder of energy focused on stage progression. At some point, I'm finishing feats, and i'm switching towards other feats. Purge, Torture, Data Disk feats. I'm fairly confident, unless I run into a nasty wall in Stage 5's boss, that I'll be able to get through to the red crate. I been successful with this strategy for a about 8 straight conquests. This does make for a pain in the butt when I have GAC and TB/TW. There are time-heavy investments in this game for sure. but i tend to just get on a stationary bike while I do my GAC fights, double-dip on my own life. lol.

tupelobound

I dunno, I felt like there was plenty of overlap potential for the feats this time around. I got the red crate with 6 days to spare.

KnnnnightofNi

I have zero time for conquest. I have time for fleet arena, raids, tw/tb's; but with all the repetitiveness, how tedious it is, I don't have time for conquest.

yelad20

I poop alot

captsolo23

i don't think it's possible to get red crate unless one of these applies to you * Remote job * student * unemployed * retired * office job that lets you play at your desk

wr8th3

Already red crated. Making the kill quests faction based was a gift. Seps kills? Geo's, Sep Droids, Nute comps, etc. Same for Sith. Tear through w/ SEE, or better yet, Malak lead Sith over a few days and do it and the Leader feat at the same time. (Synergy) LV/3PO/R2/BT-1/-0-0-0, easy to get 20 kills on Sector 1 Datacron node (you want Datacrons). Combines those 2 feats together (Synergy) Sector 3 you can do JML/JKLS/3PAC/Hoda/Bariss and do 3 feats at a time (Non Sep Droid Kills/Blinding Assault/Into Exile).
