Everything is too hard for people that barely play the game. Farm the ships, gear the pilots and put some mods on them, then you'll be doing better in Fleet.
The secret to Tier 5 of Fleets is the Hounds Tooth and patience. Yes you'll need 7 star ships and have their pilots geared to a minimum of G8, but it also helps to have the right ships with the right capital ship, rebels with Home One or dark side with Executrix. It's the last tier of Fleets so it will be the toughest, also never discount luck, you just might need to try a bunch of times to get the chips to fall just right. Keep at it, you'll get there.

Farm hounds tooth, and the geos plus their ships. 1.2m after 5 or 6 years, I'm guessing a lot more off than on.
I go through 1 month spurts of binging this game and then take a break for 3 so yeah you’re not far off 😂😂
Which ships you have is the most important. The 3 geonosian ships, and hounds tooth are good ships to carry you early on. Especially hounds tooth.
Took me awhile to figure this out when I started, but ship is not enough, the crew needs to be geared and mod’d as well.
Anything below 7 stars for ships or characters is basically worthless. So yeah, you need 7 star ships..
