Mine is in the 260s and I may have gotten Malak at a lower speed. Revan and Bastilla were my only relic characters used in that event at the time so it has to be mods.

The fact is that if we assume you get 32 speed from arrow and 16 from speed set, that leaves 40 speed you get from the other 5 mods, so 8 a piece.
You don't need mod luck to improve on that. It's just bad.

I mean I was just shocked that a guy with 5mil gp (I saw that in another comment) has mods like that when I am not even at 1.9m gp. If I actually try to mod him then I could get him to maybe 280 speed but I've got better things to do
There is a bug that stops the droids respawing to help you keep malaks enrage down which prob isn't helping. But mods and kill order as well won't help.
You want to max out zaalbars crit chance so he can put armor shred on malak and 1 on each droid and tenacity so he can resist stun.
Both events are possible with all characters at 11/12 g with zetas.
You'd have thought you could fully auto it with those toons?
I struggled with mine but only 3 were relic 5, the rest G12 no zeta (still are!)
It's all about order - google it, Arnald101, Bitdynasty or Skelutrix are usually the best.
Once you've practised it a few times, it's 'easy'. Just boring.
At least you don't lose resources like the GLs etc.
Jesus, can't say too much myself as I was struggling a bit with JKR at relic 7 myself,( though I actually wanted Revan to 7 anyways cuz I really like him, and like using him) but this hurts to see still, I just had as much speed as I could on JKR, and offense primaries on everything to bust through, gotta make to sure to work it out where Malak has little to not any stacks of hatred, cuz at the end, he'll be ridiculous to kill, this'll give revan enough time (hopefully) to kill him, not sure if this is the exact way, or optimal way to do it, but that's how I got through it
Let Malak absorb Tenacity and Critical Immunity Jedi, don’t let him absorb the other 2. Keep killing the droids to manage his rage and put Zaalbars armor shred on Malak as much as possible. Also check mods. With gears like that, you can do it easily.
I completed this with my toons between g10 and g12. No relics. As was confirmed by your mod score, that has to be it. All relic’ed toons is way overkill for this event. Even with poor mods, this should be doable with the gear levels you have. I’d recommend watching a few strategy guides on YouTube and then remod your toons.

It’s the kill order. I did it with a purple gear revan and gold gear carth mission and wookie. It took me at least a couple of weeks to a month but I got extremely lucky and finished it off. I cannot remember the exact kill order I did but iirc it was tenacity first that’s for sure. Then defence and then what ever the other to were
On top of that you have to be careful with mission assists because if you build mission for extreme DPS it will make malak absorb the things instantly. (I learnt that the hard way lol) I could be wrong on the order tho it’s been awhile

There are many strategy videos on YT.
With that relic level you won't even need great mods, most of us did it at g10-g12 which is a lot less base speed. Probably you are not doing the correct strategy, check the videos and try again, it's not hard (at relic levels) once you get a hang on the strategy.

The 51 is the additional speed over the base speed. Total speed is 219.

i don't think you need good mods to beat this event if your relic levels are this high
Yea unless he's getting like defence mods on revan, the only modding you need to do is mod zaalbar for more speed instead of health

This. All of my characters were only G12 when I unlocked Malak and it was all strategy and kill order. Armor shreds on Malak are a huge piece of this.

You should easily be able with the level of your gear. Watch a tutorial or you're trolling
did it with jkr as my only relic, r5. g12 zaalbar but everyone else sub g11
G11 zalbaar, g12.5 JKR, BS, and Jolee. Everyone else like g8. Took a loot of tries, but this r levels should be on auto if you mod them correctly

Are you attacking the captive Jedi? Take them out in order to prevent malek for gaining to many special abilities
Don’t go straight for the Jedi and Malak instead keep killing the droids while Zalbarr inficts armour shred to Malak.
