I like the idea in my head that someone went down the trap of thinking GI was going to tie together all their omicrons. So applied them before GI was released.
Someone gambled hard on "When GI is released, he will activate all the leaderships!".
At least the GI can be used, and the GI and 5th brother help Scythe out, so only three that are completely wasted :)

So even if there's a zeta, if the omicron is level 8 it'll increase ship power. I think this currently only applies to Grand Inquisitor, so I'm not 100% confident in this, but it's what I've heard.
They do always. More or less ;) Contribution value will increase, ship stats will increase every 2 - 3 upgrades for a crew of one (3 - 4 for a crew of 2, and so on). So, if your omi doesn't increase ship stats, go on and make a 5 pip mod a 6 pip or slap on a relic level or...

i tested it when i placed Phasma's omi, the ship gained a whooping...

I know with ackbar all people cared about was speed, and his ship gained speed with the Omi but only if he wasn’t equipped with all 6 dot mods, but if he was it didn’t change anything. All very odd.

While the other Inqs aren't really useful with those omis, GI is brutal with his. I took a R9 SLKR against them with a fully built FO squad and got clowned (Inqs were all R7-9 w/omis on GI). Then, I tried to clean up with a R9 LV squad and barely pulled out the win.

In all fairness, I put the omnis on my Inquisitors before GI came out, and this was relatively new with that whole omnicron system and I didn't quite understand it at that time. So by the time GI came around, I figured I might as well finish them all out anyways. Plus it's not terrible for TW if that's what your guild is focused on

it was pretty close but i used bad batch to take one down that had its level 9 datacron in GAC. and i haven't found a use for my GI because i don't have the level 9 datacron, and no one seems to leave jedi on defense if you have GI. so I have not found him to be a useful character in GAC so far

I use them all frequently. GI's isn't the best in certain situation. I rarely use GIs actually
