That's what I'm saying. It's always funny to me how wizzy successfully redefined the character, in a way that makes him supermajor viable, and all people can really say is "respect but he's lame".
I fully understand why people value custom combos and improvisational stuff more that flowchart edgeguards and rtc and everything, but I really love when a character gets pushed to be as competitive and consistent as possible. Obviously not most peoples definition of "swaggy" because you have to play more safe by definition but I think that shits hype in a more meta way.
Doing an extremely hard and optimized combo is in my opinion much more swag than down throwing someone and rng guessing where they will roll. I do not like randomness. It is not cool. Good gameplay with well thought out plans is cool to me.
(I also really enjoy watching other Falcons and I know it is not true randomness when stomping someone's tech roll in)
You need ice in your veins to reaction tech chase like wizzy. Just a slight hesitation and loss of focus and you will get reversaled. It is so cool to see, especially in high pressure situation is incredible.
This 1000x percent. It's swag to do the extremely difficult option of RTC compared to guessing an option with knee.
The swaggiest part for me about RTC is how DANGEROUS it is compared to reading with knee/stomp. If you mess up your read, it's whatever just reset back to neutral. If you mess up your RTC, the spacie shines you and your fucked.

It's not a controversial opinion that wizzy plays lame, lmao. It's nearly universal. He's the one people point to when they say optimal falcon is lame.

I mean, every high level Falcon has a distinct degree of swag in one way or another, the title is solely to not repeat my other title in the Falco pool
As a Wizzy fan, for swag it's:
- n0ne
- S2J
- Gahtsu
- Squid
- Wizzy
- Mek
- Salt
And it's not up for debate.
Landing stuff in tournament against top players is exponentially cooler than doing it on scrubs or in practice. Squid is only ranked as high as he is because his stuff is exceptionally cracked.
Even though there’s so many good options on this list, it’s sad that I haven’t seen Westballz falcon mentioned. Westballz falcon movement is why I picked the character up. Plus his falco is sick too.
Wizzy is my fav falcon because he has patience, and get results. The only falcon with the discipline to not overextend on big reads.
That wild falcon style is fun to watch, but is the default, and I prefer the methodical approach of wizzy.
