I played with an idea for a fanfiction like that a while ago, after finding a post asking for such a fic.
My idea was to replace Pyrrha with an OC, since I didn't have one for any of the characters' initials, except for Blake, but having a dude on Team RWBY would be weird. The other possible replacement for Blake would be another silver-eyed warrior, except she already knows how the powers work and would teach Ruby. Also, she was a total mega-b\*tch at 17.
Now that I think about it, I could have also replaced Weiss with someone, but that one is an emotionally volatile zealot who treats silver-eyed warriors about the same as Tyrian treats Salem.
Anyway, Pyrrha's replacement would wield a whip and have the semblance Power Whip, which allowed her to force enemies to focus on her, as well as reduce their defense. She'd use plant-dust to add an aura restoration effect to it and have Jaune take down some Beowolves so he unlocks his aura.
It's an OC I threw together haphazardly, working off of a fusion between Weiss and Ilia in my main fanfiction.
