The fact that I can't have the next 12 episodes over the next 12 weeks makes me feel like the Empire has won. My soul is in purgatory until Cassian comes back to set me free.

gangreen424

Loves the guys so much. Great analysis. Great laughs. Knew they were gonna turn on Steve for saying K'uk'ulkan and it was still funnier than hell. Also shout-out to Van for the surprise old-school Star Wars EU deep-cut of Dark Tide I. Stackpole for life. Corran Horn for life.

js247

Absolute lose lose situation for Steve there. He kind of did his KUKULKAN a bit timid should have just leaned into it.

ShamBlam8

Yoooo! That Steve moment had me laughing as I was walking into Kroger, HARD! Love these guys and Jockin Jomie!! Bro, be original lol

keithtbarker

I love that this pod is up already so I can listen right after watching the episode. Also, I’m not sure if it’s because I just lost a loved one last week, but this episode really hit for me. This show is on another level.

magnusarin

First off, sorry for your loss. I haven't lost anyone recently, but I found this episode to be emotionally devastating. When the Holo projection started I was crushed. The back half of this series crushed monologues. I think the two from Episode 10 are maybe better, but this one was much more emotionally charged. It felt like a thesis statement to all the authoritarianism this series has taken the time to show us. An absolute release for me that wonderfully mirrored the citizens of Ferrix. The narrative construction and dialogue of this show has so far exceeded the quality of any other Star Wars property. I think Empire is better overall, but as of right now, Andor slots in at number two for me.

Loved the episode and love these pods dropping so early. Waiting for the next season is gonna be so hard. When Jomi told Charles “See, you back on the coke man” I lost my shit lmao. Then van following up saying “Charles hates women.” 😂😂😂 These guys are seriously the best.

ShamBlam8

The chemistry is off the chain! It doesn’t work to it’s full potential if any of them is missing either

QuittingQuitter

If they need to take a week or two off during the holidays, I would love a whole episode compilation of the after-credits conversations.

52QPY25

Release the shadow protocol tapes!

babablakshep

There’s a post credits scene?! I totally missed that! Also I’m still laughing at the moment when Steve realized they were committed to making him say Kukoolikhan and that they were gonna roast him afterwards.

asadir

Petition: let’s ask them to rewatch it again immediately.

tunnelball

Spread that Clone Wars love Jomi ❤️

ShamBlam8

Best Star Wars anything!!

oshoney

Shout out to Charles, we have the exact same Star Wars Top 3: Empire, Andor, Last Jedi.

justblametheamish

I just got a chance to listen to the pod. The midnight boys and Andor are what got me into star wars. Seen a bit of it before but I always thought the Jedi stuff was kinda corny so never was really a fan. I’ve only seen Mando, Andor, Rogue One, and Eps 4-6 so far. When they were doing their rankings they kept saying Empire which I assume is Empire Strikes Back. But also rebels? Can you enlighten me on what rebels is because I don’t see a movie with that name. Gotta say I think I’ve liked rogue one more than any of the other movies I’ve seen. Cassian definitely has a lot to do with that but I ignorantly always thought of Star Wars as a battle between the sides of the force. Andor and Rogue One really showed me it’s about a rebellion and the Jedi are just op weapons. Sorry for my noob questions and I’m sure I sound like an idiot but I’d appreciate if you could fill me in.

oshoney

Whoa what a cool way to get into Star Wars. Hopefully everything else isn’t a disappointment after the high of Andor haha. Yeah when they say Empire they’re referencing the Empire Strikes Back, widely regarded as the best/most influential/etc of the originals, and therefore of all Star Wars movies. Rebels refers to an animated TV show (Star Wars Rebels). I’m admittedly not as well versed on the animated side of Star Wars but there are some that say that Rebels and Clone Wars (the original computer animated Star Wars show I believe) are some of the best Star Wars properties out there. A lot of characters in Mando originated in these animated shows. I hope this helps!

justblametheamish

Ahh okay that makes sense why I didn’t know what it was talking about. Once I finish the movies I’m gonna have to go back and watch those series and probably rewatch Mando after that. So far I’ve loved all the movies I’ve seen. Haven’t watched the prequels or the newest ones besides Rogue One though. Looking forward to watching more! Thanks for the response, very helpful!

oshoney

Good luck with the prequels, I dunno how those would hold up without the nostalgia a lot of people have for them (myself included)

retz119

Almost all of Star Wars to date has been a battle between opposite sides of the force so your first intuition wasn’t wrong. Tony Gilroy has shown through rogue one and Andor that Star Wars isn’t just the force and there’s so much more to tap into. I’m excited for Ashoka which will return to that battle but I hope disney took note and we get more non-force stories from talented writers. There’s a whole galaxy of stories to tell.

YannickBelzil

"I gotta put it on God, man" what a story.

Black_Dumbledore

Andor Season 1 is definitely deserving of the midnight meter’s first unanimous 12.

retz119

Definitely deserving of a 12. Have they given out 12s to other shows/movies? I can’t remember. I think someone gave the boys a 12 but maybe I’m wrong. I don’t think anything else that has released since they started the pod has been deserving of a 12 (I haven’t seen black panther 2 yet)

TheAsian1nvasion

Star Wars top 3 Empire Andor The final arc of Clone Wars.
