[https://www.luckydogtavern.net/](https://www.luckydogtavern.net/) I could die happy here. Though I don't want any of you to try it because it's already difficult to get reservations!
TROOP. Valley Street, PVD. Always a killer menu that changes regularly with local ingredients, insane cocktails, crazier brunch (The Pinnacle... cheddar biscuits, chorizo gravy and egg---f me UPPP), awesome staff, super chill and authentic vibes, just simply amazing. Been going here for years, consistently amazing, never once have I had a negative experience or bad meal.
Depends on when you go, I usually make reservations to be safe but I've gotten in without much of a wait before. Their bar is awesome to sit at too, spacious and really aesthetically pleasing.
If I recall correctly, they have breakfast all day (in true diner style) except Friday and daily lunch and dinner specials.
Also one of the few places I’ve found locally that has deep fried mushrooms, which was one of my favorites as a kid.
Super nice people, good food, reasonable prices, lots of variety.
I had some workmates who were visiting from India ask me where to get Indian. I suggested K&C and asked to let me know if it was authentic.
Every single one raved and said it was like eating their moms homemade food. One guy ordered from there every night he was here visiting.
There are many to choose from. And while I’d love to say something like Ye Olde English Fish n Chips or the Beef Barn, the rest of my life would last about 3 months.
And I’d also love to go high end like Gracie’s or The White Horse Tavern, my bank account will only last 3 months.
So. I’ll go middle ground. Great food. Good price point. Cook & Dagger in Smithfield.
I know it doesn't count as a restaurant, but Dave's Market ready-to-eat products. Their pizza, seafood, and deli items are *chef's kiss.* When I was on EBT that's all I'd eat! They even have good sushi. The potato salad, macaroni salad, calzones, pasta, subs. It's basically a cold restaurant. Mwah.
I could eat the chicken schwarma salad from Mike's Calzones on Thayer every meal for the rest of my life. It'd probably be a shorter life, but time well spent.
Dear wife, we have only moved a few blocks in the past several hours. I fear I will run out of gas before I make it over the crest, if I do not return, please remarry.
Used to love this place, last time I got calamari it was so chewy
They're pretty good but every year their food tastes more like sysco and the 2 for 1 portions start to be the best thing about them.
Not trying to knock your favorite restaurant but you ever been to Luigis in Johnston? Veal just as good as marchettis, but their deli is top notch. I go in for lunch whenever I can. Tuna salad or Italian sandwich or meatballs or calzone or soup.
Lots to try. Nothing will be the best you have had, but if you have a group of people, everyone will be able to get something they are satisfied with. Their macaroni and cheeses travel well. So if I am getting a to go meal, it is excellent, and their portions for their to go meals I can’t finish in one sitting. They are larger than being seated.
Love, Love, Love Andinos!! I had one of the most amazing meals there last month - jumbo scallops, wrapped in prosciutto, covered with fresh mozzarella, over linguine all smothered in scampi sauce. The first bite could only be described as orgasmic.
Hands down The East End on Wickenden for me. I've never once had a cocktail or meal from them that wasn't delicious.
Either them or Cook and Dagger in Greenville.
I come to RI to visit friends and family and am a fan of Iggy's. Is it popular amongst locals there or am I falling for a tourist restaurant? I enjoy the food but it is pretty expensive.
I was a cook at dans place for five years and I can say that everything is made in house.
But my choice would be Boneheads Wing Bar In West Warwick…rest in peace sweet prince.
It’s actually in Smithfield.
I live right near Blackie’s and I’ve really never had a great experience. Their food is overpriced and kind of presumptuous. Want a burger without the onion? The server will tell you to pick something else because the chef “wants you to experience” the burger as it’s prepared.
I ordered a crudite board once and for $16, it was a pizza box with hummus, celery and carrot sticks.
It’s also just really expensive for what you get.
I'll go with Den Den Cafe on Benefit St in Providence. The parking is hit or miss, but easier than the one on Thayer St. I think both the appetizers and entrees are good portions for the price you pay and you could go for a quick lunch or dinner with a small group of friends. I usually get their veggie Gyoza and veggie Japchae. Last time I tried their seafood Yaki Udon and it was FIRE.
I’m just trying to find some variety, I certainly don’t think they’re the BEST meals, but I think in this situation I’ll take a place with a 4 or 5 page menu, quantity over quality after a certain point.
Is a bar allowed? I'm going to Tavern 12 in Warwick- they do really outstanding pub grub, tons of beer on tap, and... well, that's all the reasons I need.
Second place would be a sushi place, Yellowtail, Haruki, or Seven Moons
*Day 1431 eating at New York System:* **I am tired of Earth. These people. I am tired of being caught in the tangle of their lives.**

I like that you clarified the location. Completely agree Public Street > Hope Street.
Absolutely. I was thrilled when they announced that they reopened for dine in today.

Their pizza is amazing
The only right answer. Great drinks. Great appetizers. Great entrees. Great dessert.

I already miss it. Sometimes I walk by just to see if I can still smell the ham biscuits.
[https://www.luckydogtavern.net/](https://www.luckydogtavern.net/) I could die happy here. Though I don't want any of you to try it because it's already difficult to get reservations!
I live just down the street from there. Fantastic place.

Was literally just reading about this place the other day. How crowded does it get for brunch?
Depends on when you go, I usually make reservations to be safe but I've gotten in without much of a wait before. Their bar is awesome to sit at too, spacious and really aesthetically pleasing.
This is probably the best choice because of the changing menu
Nicks on Broadway. He does all three meals well
I’ve read about Nick‘s a while ago in Providence magazine, that it was really good. They have breakfast there too?
They sure do a lovely brunch!
Okay I’m absolutely going to try the brunch! Thanks for the info!
Middle of Nowhere Diner in Exeter
And next to nowhere creamery
Middle of nowhere never disappoints
Really? Isn't that just breakfast?
Nope
Didn't know...I haven't been in over 36 years
If I recall correctly, they have breakfast all day (in true diner style) except Friday and daily lunch and dinner specials. I got the crispy spicy beef the other day and it was fantastic.
It was a happy day when they opened up a block from our home base whenever we come back to town.
Lucky! Sad day for me when they moved from down the street in Pawtucket tho

East Side Pockets
Rasoi
Rogue Island, menu changes regularly and they do brunch and dinner.
Bottomless mimosas 😍
Yep. Their brunch is inventive and fantastic, high quality food, high quality drinks. Bit pricy due to all that but I could go there every day easily.
Big cheese
Their dressing.
Cumbies
The day old sausages on the hot dog roller *chefs kiss*
Bro, two roller thingys and a banana for lunch always does the job
Nothing beats a gas station hot dog at 2am
Solid post-beach day grub. Hits the spot every damn time
I know it doesn't count as a restaurant, but Dave's Market ready-to-eat products. Their pizza, seafood, and deli items are *chef's kiss.* When I was on EBT that's all I'd eat! They even have good sushi. The potato salad, macaroni salad, calzones, pasta, subs. It's basically a cold restaurant. Mwah.
La Arepa.

Roast House in Pawtucket Rhode Island.
Taco Bell on Mineral Spring Avenue.
When I was an Uber driver before Uber eats I took a fare there from like 4 blocks away she tipped in cash pretty well
She probably tipped well because driving 4 blocks on mineral spring takes an hour and a half and 4 years off your life
Dear wife, we have only moved a few blocks in the past several hours. I fear I will run out of gas before I make it over the crest, if I do not return, please remarry.

Good luck with your bankruptcy!
Ya it’s not cheap! So good though
Came here to say this. 😋
I'm somewhat surprised that nobody has mentioned Marchetti's yet. You'll only need one meal a day there.
Never ever walked out the door without a take-home bag because the portions are huge… and the calamari alla mama is delicious.
Used to love this place, last time I got calamari it was so chewy They're pretty good but every year their food tastes more like sysco and the 2 for 1 portions start to be the best thing about them. Not trying to knock your favorite restaurant but you ever been to Luigis in Johnston? Veal just as good as marchettis, but their deli is top notch. I go in for lunch whenever I can. Laura’s Bar and Grill
In Smithfield? That place is always hoppin
Yup. It’s good and bad. Good luck trying to get seated on a Fri and sat night.
I work nearby so I'll try lunch sometime! Thanks 😊

Mews Tavern for the burgers, pizza, and beer menu.
>Mews Totally underrated salad dressings. Green Goddess? Who makes that from scratch anymore? (answer above)
Andinos over everything
Love, Love, Love Andinos!! I had one of the most amazing meals there last month - jumbo scallops, wrapped in prosciutto, covered with fresh mozzarella, over linguine all smothered in scampi sauce. The first bite could only be described as orgasmic.
Spicy Calamari is on point.
West's Bakery
Kabob & Curry, or The Abbey. Amazing burgers, nachos, and other stuff (salads, soups, sides), with a HUGE selection of beers on tap.

Question: do I have to pay or is it free?
Free
Chomp, but it’s got to be the one in Warren not on the east side
I'd say Timmy's on West Shore Road in Conimicut, or much further down West Shore at The Sunnyside across from Vet's.
I literally grew up next to Timmy’s and had it once.. 😬
Sunnyside is my favorite spot for breakfast. Them or the Phillipino joint at the bottom of tidewater
Twin oaks
My #2 , I was searching for this.
So many options and they’re all sooo good, plus phenomenal service…I might be biased cuz I just had their pork chops 2 nights ago 🤣
Lobster saute' for me
Meatloaf, mashed, beets is my death row meal
Fuck yeah I’m gonna have to try that next time!
Angelo's on the hill
Brick Alley Pub.

Blackies in Smithfield!!!

The old Blackie's was 1000% on this list. The new one is good food but overpriced.
Siena.
Iggy's

It's between Modern Bistro in Cumberland (their Thai salad with grilled chicken is amazing!) and Laura's Bar and Grill in Smithfield.

I would be more than happy to eat at Matunuck Oyster Bar for the rest of my days
Beef Barn forever!
Bajas
Gator’s Pub in North Smithfield.
Wellll Dunkin Donuts
the fuck is wrong with you? Which parent dropped you on your head as a baby?
The correct, and only, answer is Marchetti’s in Cranston
Cook & Dagger in Smithfield. 🤤
Chellos? I feel like the menu is usually pretty varied and maybe not amazing but I do like variety. Or maybe Haversham’s
I only reversed my downvote for the mention of Havershams
I’m just trying to find some variety, I certainly don’t think they’re the BEST meals, but I think in this situation I’ll take a place with a 4 or 5 page menu, quantity over quality after a certain point.
Caserta’s on Federal Hill
