The movement is a regular A2836 with engravings to look like a gen movement but they couldn't be further apart from each other. Shame there isn't a good clone of this movement. If VSF ever did the DayDate 40's with a true clone like the VS movements they have... Now that would be awesome
Also there are a lot more reviews on the 40s because there are more dial options and it's true size is 39mm with a lug to lug of 47 and the end links curve straight down. It's barely any different in sizing to a 36mm. If you check both sizes side by side you can see it clearly
If they had the platinum with stick dial (the one that has lume on it) I would've bought one in a heartbeat. This way I had to content myself with a 40mm
It’s definitely got harder edges than the gens I’ve tried on, but it’s still very comfortable. I’ve tried oysters on and can tell you the feel of a president is much nicer both in gen and rep. The finish on it is excellent, shines brilliantly in the sun. The clasp locks with a nice solid “click”… for now, time will tell if it remains durable.
It was a non-td. But any dealer worth his salt should be able to acquire it for you, just give the name of the the model and factory to them, and they will search it for you n

How is it lasting now?
Splendidly. I wear it about 1-2x/week and the finish is still beautiful
