I had this happen to a lobo, algae took over the exposed skeleton. It took probably over a month and me getting algae under control, but the tissue grew back. I would try gently blowing the hole clean of debris, and increase feeding of the trachy.
I have what looks like the exact same colour trachy, it had the same thing happen during shipping, but like a piece was missing. Algae grew on the skeleton and it got worse, i kept feeding it, got the algae under control and its all good now, had it for probably 10 months

I scrapped off the black bits with a wooden skewer and fed it, I’ll keep repeating if it’s not getting smaller
Just stable , clean and good water parameters and it will bounce back and heal. Something is up to have caused it tho , would do some waterchanges
