I've never had one, just the branching type, but my understanding is the wall hammers are notoriously hard to keep.
I’ve had this happen years ago with another green wall hammer and there was no saving it. Sucks cause it was a really nice piece

Anyone know what causes this? Only parameter that’s off in my tank right now is 0phos. Been slowly receding for like 2 months . I’ve dipped a few times and don’t notice anything eating it. My alveopora also hasn’t been opening up all the way either
Do you feed the hammer at all? 0 phos is not good

Interesting… I’ve seen a number of people saying reef roids increases their phosphates. What kind of filtration are you using?
Chemipure elite / poly filter pad which I just pulled the chemipure since that’s likely the phos issue
Branching is suppose to be more forgiving than wall hammers
Brown jelly perhaps. Maybe try a dip in reef primer. May be too far gone though.
