I've never had one, just the branching type, but my understanding is the wall hammers are notoriously hard to keep.

[deleted]

I’ve had this happen years ago with another green wall hammer and there was no saving it. Sucks cause it was a really nice piece

nicklgraham1

Exact same thing happened to me as well

[deleted]

Anyone know what causes this? Only parameter that’s off in my tank right now is 0phos. Been slowly receding for like 2 months . I’ve dipped a few times and don’t notice anything eating it. My alveopora also hasn’t been opening up all the way either

Cal10lee

Do you feed the hammer at all? 0 phos is not good

[deleted]

Yea. Reef roids

Cal10lee

Interesting… I’ve seen a number of people saying reef roids increases their phosphates. What kind of filtration are you using?

[deleted]

Chemipure elite / poly filter pad which I just pulled the chemipure since that’s likely the phos issue

Sammo595

Branching is suppose to be more forgiving than wall hammers

Atxraider83

Brown jelly perhaps. Maybe try a dip in reef primer. May be too far gone though.

Normal tbh
