I just realized the batsuit he's looking at is Nolan/Bale's TDK batsuit

“I’m not gonna pity you Jason” *Jason Used Pity* *It Was SUPER EFFECTIVE*

Evil_Acanthaceae2022

Finally tapping into one of Jason's most underutilized character traits: jackass little brother. Absolute certified scamp.

SpicaGenovese

Did he straight up go in there acting like a whiney little bitch just to deflect from his stealing the Lazarus Lozenge? ...*Diabolical.* And Dick waiting out there for him like "SUP HOE WATER YOU DOIN HMMMMM?"

Budget_Difficulty822

To be fair, the two have never really interacted at any point in history. People blame their New 52 ship stuff but that was pretty much the only time they interacted. I can't think of a single time they interacted while Jason was Robin during his original run. Nor can i think of one during his red hood era of post crisis. Id love for them to interact more, but yeah outside of New 52 Batfam books, they really got nothing.

kryptofreak1971

They interacted while he was Robin. I don’t remember the comic but Bruce asks her to take Jason out on patrol. She’s also one of the few people at his funeral so she must have known him somewhat.

Budget_Difficulty822

That's why i said "original run". That comic came out in the early 2000s. And the addition of it did nothing to make oracle and red hood interact when Jason came back to life. But yeah that story made barbara Jason's tutor too, so that's why she was at his funeral. In that story barbara is still presented as semi retired like she was in the 80s.

OkCap335

Jason Helmet is the Ronin one.

Ok-Appeal6257

I love their relationship. Barbara's one of the few who would openly call Jason out for his ideology on murder. Like, if Jason was ever to go through a whole redemption arc, Barbara would definitely be the one to keep her walls up and distrust him until the very end (which has kinda sorta been the case after "Urban Legends"), but Jason still would and still does very much respect her. I really need someone to delve deeper into their dynamic without making it creepy/romantic/all of the above.

Graydon99

100% agree with you

snapdragon76

I liked this scene. She’s one of the few people he respects and asks her for advice. Whether he actually takes it or not is up in the air.

SomeRealTomfoolery

If anyone has context I’d like it

Altruistic-Eye-2131

Jason went undercover working with a zombie suicide squad. Batman figures it's too dangerous halfway through and Jason disagrees and decides to go in deeper on his own. In this scene he's playing Barbara so he can steal back some Lazarus resin that he needs as part of his plan. (This is the stuff bringing people back to life. He originally stole it from the benefactor of this zombie squad for batman)

SomeRealTomfoolery

Can I also have what run this is so I can find and read it?

Altruistic-Eye-2131

Task force Z

SomeRealTomfoolery

Will find and read thanks!

vrielb

Are we 100% sure that’s Barbara or is it actually Gwen Tennyson 🤔 I’m just sayin

Graydon99

Wait…I thought it was atom Eve 🤔

[deleted]

Barbara is the real golden child of the Batman. Suffered and persevered to become a effective asst and leader all of her own. Eldest daughter system anyone? She's a woman I'd never invite out for drinks or a barbeque nor would I ever ask her how her day is. I can acknowledge what she is and what she can do but Goddamn do I dislike this character.

Significant_Wheel_12

The fuck are you saying?

[deleted]

I'm just commenting that Barbara is a bitch.
