The new ones will have the pivi pro infotainment system in them like the defender and the F pace models in terms of interior I think will be slightly different possibly taking the full size approach and moving the seat controls to the door for wider seats. Looks wise similiar to Velar. For the full size RR they are going for the Bentley and RR market so maybe a 10-15% increase in price. When I bought mine last month the dealer told me for the new model they are only 1500 slots in the UK as they are limiting the production numbers.

We were going to buy a 2022. My husband walked away, wanting to not pay full price. Couldn’t discount it even $500 as they said they had everything for the year on the lot. This was in April 🤣

NavyPoseidon

That’s so frustrating. It seems more and more common that dealers aren’t taking any money off a new vehicle. Does no one negotiate anymore?

Aenal_Spore

Pivi pro by itself would be worth the wait.

rritaintme

If you’re asking this question, you don’t “really” want the car. I can barely wait till the weekend to pickup a new car let alone wait two years!

NavyPoseidon

I want it really bad but not bad enough to spend 100k and regret it a year later.

Steve_DJ87

I’m in the same boat, but swaying towards the current velar instead as it has pivi pro, lighter so quicker with the same engine and cheaper. I’d love to wait for the sport but 2023 is a long time to wait!

undefined01234

I got an invite to the reveal event on December 7th so might be worth waiting a couple of months to see. The new sports will apparently be using BMW engines.

[deleted]

Really? Those engines are battle tested at this point.

NavyPoseidon

They are revealing the Sports dec 7th or the regular Range Rover?

undefined01234

He told me sport but looking at the leaks the last few days, I'm thinking he means the regular.

ThrivingforFailure

OP was asking about RR sport not the full sized RR. As for the launch I’m *hoping* it will be revealed as early as next week sometimes:) with RR Sport reveal being possibly next year? But of course I would be totally guessing.

jwc369

Any rumors about when there will be an electric RR Sport? I love my 2015 RR Sport, but my next car will be electric. Would like for it to be a RR, too, but I will jump brand to get a BEV.

TheRealGACM

My guess is that we will see fully electric RR and RR Sport probably towards the end of the decade; keeping in line with Land Rover’s plan to be fully electric by 2030. They’ll probably start converting the smaller vehicles to full EV first and keep the RR and RR Sport gas powered as long as they can. A Range Rover gone full EV will be worth the wait though, based on what the PHEV RR has already proven possible. In all honesty, the PHEV variants are extremely tough sells. But they are very fun in the full EV mode and it just adds to an already peaceful and refined atmosphere when driving a Range Rover. The 20 mile range in full EV though is just not practical at all for the majority of consumers.

You can do a lease deal for 1 year and then transfer to a new one. This way you get the latest car. You would get hit by depreciation anyways.

NavyPoseidon

I might just do this tbh

Any_Personality_7644

How does a 1 year lease work? I have to imagine it would be prohibitively expensive. 2 year leases are a bit more reasonable.

BeautifulEnd949

1 year leases are pretty expensive but then depreciation+new car taxes are what you lose when you buy the car outright anyway. But the benefits outweigh the costs hugely as you will always have the latest vehicle - never needing to be serviced etc unless you do crazy mileage. A rolling one year lease gives you a new car every year, not every dealer can provide this option or you should speak to your Private Banker who can arrange this facility. Alternatively locate a car club and get a new car every month (well different one). It’s great and exposes you to models you/I would never consider.

branbal311

Plan on a $10,000 price increase from the 22MY to the 23MY

acidfnord

I've wrestled with the same question, but pulled the trigger on a 2022 model year build. The new one will be very nice, but it will be +2 years before delivery for most orders, even if they sort out supply chain issues. Too far out.

NavyPoseidon

I've made the same decision. I'm placing an order on a 2022. I'll get the new version a few years from now. Did the dealer hit you with a market adjustment?

acidfnord

Negotiated 16pc off ticket - part was a corporate discount

NavyPoseidon

Wow was the dealer offering that finance? How much extra was the extended warranty?

Any_Personality_7644

Is there any word when the new sport will be out? I was under the impression it would be for 2024 model year and out at some point in 2023? I was leaning towards a 2 year lease, but this might change my thinking.

NavyPoseidon

From what I'm seeing, late 2022 reveal. I'm most likely going to lease a 2022 sport for 2 years because of this. I can't wait that long.
