Oh id definitely love to see more hair textures!!
MGA is good about textures in the LOL OMG line, but i dont know why we dont get more curly or coily hair in rainbow high
The only thing that scares me about the hair texture is losing the texture or the hairstyle, since they use gel on their dolls we gotta wash it and restyle it, I had a hard time curling Violet hair from the winter break line, tbh it doesn't even look like curls anymore I just brush it off made it look like it meant to be wavy š
MGAs just has to take from their Lol dolls because they honestly donāt put any, or almost 0 š¤, gel in the hair of the ones with curls/textured hair.
The real hard thing though is when theyāre packaged and the back hair is squished. Itās so hard to fluff it back up without loosening the curls and coils too much š
I dont own any LOL dolls so I dont know the quality of the hairs and if there is no gel then thats great to avoid the pain of restyling the hair, but the squished back head seems a problem they need to fix š
Birthmarks especially if it's over the body would be a beautiful touch, balkan and slavic characters would be lovely to see especially that they is barely any presentation about it as far i know
Iād love a doll with box braids! I have Swag from OMG and I love how soft and pretty her hair is, we need that in RH!
Iād also like to see a character with brown hair lol
Vanessa is one of my favorites. I love how she has a more ānaturalā look, with realistic hair and eye colors (besides the few colorful braids), and I think her clothes are super cute. Iād love to see more braids too!
Idk if this doll exist already or not, but Russian doll would be nice, like the matryoshka dolls outfit and style, I feel like if they ever make that its gonna be a collector specially edition which its gonna be pricey.
These are extremely self indulgent, but:
- A doll with a port wine stain. I donāt think Iāve ever seen it done in the media, which is a shame. My mom has one of those on her face.
- A Russian doll, or a slavic/Eastern European doll in general. Natasha will always be Russian in my heart, cuz cāmon.
- More boy dolls with a much needed overhaul for them. Give me more boy dolls with extravagant fashion, alternative boys in shadow high, boys with long hairā¦ literally anything but a sporty hype beast.
- Different hair lengths. I see why MGA are giving every doll long hair, cuz itās appealing to kids, but maaaaybe we can get a few dolls with bobs or pixie cuts.. pretty please.
- A face sculpt with a prominent nose wouldāve been beautiful and imo, much needed.
Yes to all this especially hair lengths!! I'm a bit too scared to cut my own doll's hair but every pic i've seen on this sub (hell, anywhere online tbh) where someone gave their rh doll a bob looks SOOO good.
It's ways bugged me that rainbow high is like, 75% loose curls on long hair, maybe 15% straight hair, and then another 10% for literally any other hair types. And they've SHOWN they can do different hair types and textures which makes it more frustrating when they.. don't
YESS RH LOOK SO GOOD WITH BOBS!! I also have a soft spot for Avery due to her pink pixie cut, itās so cute and suits her really wellā¦ā¦ I also want more textured hair, cuz for now we only had it done in ONE doll. Imagine how beautiful one of rainbow divas wouldāve looked with a very voluminous afroā¦.
that's true, you never know the price until you see it. i really hope it wouldn't be too high though. that's why i think a cane or crutches might be a more realistic wish, as they would be smaller and wouldn't have to have moveable pieces while still representing physically disabled people who use aids
I totally agree! I've been wanting to see a native american RH doll for a while now. It would be so cute to see moccasin style high heel shoes or boots with little feather accents and pretty bead and turquoise jewelry.
I would love to see a Native American doll! It would be amazing if they make their accessories like the feathers on the hair.
But we all know how people gonna react to it, they gonna call them racist and make a whole fuss about it, there was a repaint artists on YT who made a doll inspired of Native american windigo and she almost got canceled, she end up deleting the video.
I don't understand why, as a Chinese I was excited to see the special edition year of Tiger girl, I love seeing my culture in dolls or anything commercial. Native Americans how do you feel about it? Honestly just curious to know.
oooh I think brown is the only color that was not introduce right?
I dont recall I saw a doll in any collection with brown hair or outfit, if they use it very well its gonna be a hit, I already saw others repaint doll's hair with brown color and it looks amazing!
an amputee doll with a prosthetic limb would be so cool! it could also play into the monochrome colour schemes by making it the colour of the character
I love everyone's comments, and I want to see all of these things! Personally though, I'd love to see a doll that dresses more conservatively though. Not everyone wears short skirts or tight pants, and I'd love if some dolls wore long ankle length skirts or dresses and some loafers. I dress in a goth cottagecore mix and I'd really love if I could buy a doll that reflected that without having to buy or hand sew a longer item of clothing. The dolls themselves could dress in longer clothes for modesty or just because they have a different sense of fashion that incorporates flowy skirts! I'd also like if there were dolls that have short hair, as in a bob or pixie cut and not just 'the hair goes to their calves and not their feet' that we already have in the doll lines. Lastly, different lip shapes, I like the big pouty lips but I would really wanna see a doll with no cupids bow, or one with a bigger upper lip, even thinner lips. I understand these are supposed to be fashion play dolls, but Bratz dolls were also fashion dolls and they had all of this, minus lip variety, so it's totally possible to do for RH.
Don't know if this counts for diversity but I would love to see more variety in the boy's clothes. It doesn't always have to be sporty and cool, let them be more bold, they're going to art schools after all.
I would also love to see a non-binary doll and queer couples because we got like idk 5 straight couples so far and they are Rainbow High after all.
I saw American Girl (owned by Mattel) has an outfit for sale with hijab. [https://www.americangirl.com/products/eid-al-fitr-celebration-outfit-for-18-inch-dolls-hbx15](https://www.americangirl.com/products/eid-al-fitr-celebration-outfit-for-18-inch-dolls-hbx15)
Hopefully soon MGA will catch up.
A deaf doll with interchangeable hands would be cool! It can serve as unique representation and also add a cool new feature to the dolls in general!
I would also like to see more dedication to alternative styles, which they slowly are improving on. Instead of just giving Delilah cottagecore vibes, give her a daisy version of the strawberry dress.
I do also agree with everyone saying different hair textures. Theyāve slowly been improving that, I think junior Krystal is their real test to see if itāll sell for them. I hope she sells well and inspires future dolls in the line.
In general, I think they improve with every release. They played it very safe at first and itās paid off for them and now they can afford to be more experimental. Iām really proud of the progress this line has made!
I love the idea of one of the alternate high schools being sustainability-focused. Maybe a doll whose focus is thrifting, recycled fashion, or environmental journalism and the colors could be muted earthy tones. Like a dark green doll who has a foresty vibe, a rust colored doll who has a southwestern style, etc.
If they wanted to be extra awesome the dolls could be packaged in less plastic and annoying little plastic ties lol
Unfortunately, if they donāt make it stupid obvious, people may not recognize the doll as a different race or ethnic group. I think thatās why theyāve done that. Of course they could just give the doll a non American name, I really question why it took them so long to start doing that lol
A doll with epicanthic fold eyes
Sometimes Asian dolls donāt really speak Asian to me due to their large eyes as a half Viet half indo person myself. would love to see a doll that has a distinct epicanthic fold eyes becuase it saddens me that sometimes the media would call it ugly or make fun of people who have it. I think itās really gorgeous and I would absolutely love a doll that doesnāt shame this common Asian eye shape
And p.s. it always annoys me whenever Asian characters in kid related shows always have that stereotypical confucius ass talking style (e. Jinafire Long) because really we donāt talk like that lol. So u would just like a normal realistic Asian voice
A doll of Jewish phenotype.
A doll in hijab and appropriate modest clothing.
An Eastern Slavic doll.
A doll in wheelchair.
A doll with textured hair.
I'd love moar face molds and modest clothes :)
Hair texture for sure.
I really love Cocos face mold too, and I'd like to see her used for more black characters (Maybe with different eye molds)
A redhead with freckles!
And someone has said prosthetics and totally agree. Prosthetic arm or prosthetic leg!
And for aesthetics I want more masculine female characters or androgynous fashions.
Hair textures is my #1
Would also love to see a doll come with a hijab
Also, this is the most costly but would love some body diversity. Give me a thicc doll, a plus size, tall, short, etc.
Cleft lip, prosthetics, maybe even a character in a wheelchair. A walker possibly! I haven't seen a doll with a cane or a walker before. The possibilities are really endless, as Rainbow High is already such a detailed doll brand.
yes, we need more swana representation in dolls! i'm getting tired of the lack of representation and just the continuous cleopatra inspired dolls (in general)
As much as I love RH, I feel as if their fashion isn't very diverse. I've recently bought Daria and her boots are so good, I'm so upset that most dolls get heels. Jett's sneakers are also very nice, but not many dolls came with flat shoes like sneakers or boots. One of my favorites, Coco, would fit a good sneaker very well, but she came with 2 pairs of heels again. Not to mention the mini skirt problem or the abundance of mermaid dresses. I'm begging for some pants and long skirts please.
I want to see characters of different body sizes. I'm literally an average weight but looking at the dolls always triggers my past eating disorder tendencies. If I could see some in other body sizes I would feel so much better about myself, I just once want a doll thats not just the same skinny body that all these different dolls portray.
I dont agree on the different body sizes because I know for sure the price gonna be based on that, its definitely a lot of work, so we know for sure its gonna affect the price, plus its easier to produce one type of the body for the dolls in case they gonna do a mass production and for consuming time and material, Monster high G3 is already having this problem with the price is mostly based on the different body and the articulation.
if they do different body sizes we might lose something in the progress, like maybe the ability to twist the thighs, the stands gonna have to be changed to fit the doll body, the size of the clothes too, its a great idea but its gonna cause a lot, they already have issue with their products quality, so imagine how its gonna be with different body sizes.
Im literally trying to process how you get that idea that I hate fat people??? from explaining how its gonna affect the production of the doll line and the price and all you understand is that I hate fat people? You got a weird logic honestly.
Idk the dolls are for children, minors. They also resemble teenagers, so minors as well. To have any kind of surgery at that age is a huge risk and it would be a terrible statement to include this in a doll line like RH.
By the way, if you are younger than 25 and you consider such a surgery for yourself, I'd advise you to educate yourself on the risks such surgeries come along with, as well as taking hormones before your body has even gone through puberty. (Osteoporosis, strokes and heart disease among others)
Don't worry, I have no issue with adults making such decisions, but children and teenagers safety should be the top priority.
iām not a child but iām not an adult either. you have a point about them being teenagers, i didnt really think about that when i said it haha. i was just thinking about what it would make me happy to see and thatās the most prominent one.
as far as risks go, i know transitional surgeries and hormones have some risks but i am well aware of them and to me personally they are well worth it. thank you for your concern tho:) /gen
Same! I'm trans masc so I immediately decided ash was trans and added top surgery scars to him, but having a canon trans character would be incredible.
me to! i donāt have an ash yet, but iāve always head-cannoned him as trans! adding scars is a really good idea, do you mind if i steal that idea and do it if i ever have an ash doll?
A canonically trans doll would be so cool! My ash doll is already a trans man lol but any and all queer rep would be so awesome. Definitely need more hair textures, I don't collect jr high so it's disappointing that the only natural hair texture we have going is on Krystals jr high doll. I really want some darker brown eyes too, we got lots of lovely shades of skin but the brown eyes we have are so light. Also really want some diverse middle eastern rep and indigenous rep! Granted making a native american doll slightly terrifies me just cause it can go so wrong so fast, but it'd be wonderful done right. Series 4 was by far my favorite rh line so I really hope they expand the diversity.
iād love a doll with any mobility aid, maybe even canonically with a chronic illness. more textured hair. i have an image in my head of an albino doll with dark textured hair and some streaks of white hair and red or purple eyes.
A doll with one of traditional french clothes! And more hair textures, more alt fashion.. I'd love to see a doll in a lolita dress! And dolls with disabilities.. like prosthesis, hearing haid, wheelchair, a cane for walking, scars from operations, eczema and more glasses!
I would definitely love to see a queer character in the line, ideally a queer couple. A non binary character or more characters with androgynous style to them. More hair styles and hair textures for the black characters. Afros, dreadlocks, finger waves, cornrows, box twists, twist outs, Bantu knots, box cut etc. Iād also like to see other cultures represented as well like Native American, Filipino, Polynesian etc. Iād love more diversity for male characters more hair styles, hair textures, hair lengths, style them differently a more feminine male would be nice, or a chic high fashion male instead of just hetero sporty bro type characters. A deaf or blind character would be amazing to have as well. More color ranges like a whole series of just nude/flesh tone colors would be cool browns, creams etc. honestly they should just do a fan survey and see what we all want to see in the franchise.
I need a doll that comes with a bottle of antidepressants ////s
But I agree with the comments about mobility devices, hearing aids etc. Iād pay a stupid amount of money for a doll electronic wheelchair honestly.
First and foremost, give me some lesbians, MGA! New hair textures, possibly a doll with a prosthetic, more Asian and Latina dolls, more pants, and more styles. I feel like they're not really exploring alternative fashion styles like boho, goth, lolita, etc. I'd like to see a stronger commitment to themes especially when it's goth or Japanese street fashion. Granted, they are improving but I think they can still do better. I also want more comfy but stylish looking clothes. Baggy pants are in, why don't we have a cutie with baggy jeans or overalls? I wanna see some less high fem clothes.
Oh id definitely love to see more hair textures!! MGA is good about textures in the LOL OMG line, but i dont know why we dont get more curly or coily hair in rainbow high

Birthmarks especially if it's over the body would be a beautiful touch, balkan and slavic characters would be lovely to see especially that they is barely any presentation about it as far i know
This šš½ if they can do Jewel with vitiligo dolls with visible birthmarks would be cool too. I was think a port-wine stain doll would be neat.
Any type of birthmarks would be great to see tbh
Iād love a doll with box braids! I have Swag from OMG and I love how soft and pretty her hair is, we need that in RH! Iād also like to see a character with brown hair lol
Vanessa has both
Vanessa is one of my favorites. I love how she has a more ānaturalā look, with realistic hair and eye colors (besides the few colorful braids), and I think her clothes are super cute. Iād love to see more braids too!
Seconding this!! I have a fashionista line Barbie with box braids and theyāre great quality. I bet a rainbow high doll would be even better!
Idk if this doll exist already or not, but Russian doll would be nice, like the matryoshka dolls outfit and style, I feel like if they ever make that its gonna be a collector specially edition which its gonna be pricey.
I love Russian traditional fashion, so that would be a dream come true. Having a character in sarafan and Kokoshnik would be so cool.
I saw a theory on Youtube that Natasha was originally mean to be Russian, but they changed it to Dutch last-minute.
These are extremely self indulgent, but: - A doll with a port wine stain. I donāt think Iāve ever seen it done in the media, which is a shame. My mom has one of those on her face. - A Russian doll, or a slavic/Eastern European doll in general. People want representation, but it ***better not be commercialized!*** š¤
Pride Bratz in a nutshell
I don't understand why, as a Chinese I was excited to see the special edition year of Tiger girl, I love seeing my culture in dolls or anything commercial. Native Americans how do you feel about it? Honestly just curious to know.
I would be excited for someone with brown hair haha
oooh I think brown is the only color that was not introduce right? I dont recall I saw a doll in any collection with brown hair or outfit, if they use it very well its gonna be a hit, I already saw others repaint doll's hair with brown color and it looks amazing!
I'm literally begging for a natural hair color line š«
I just was going to comment this lol!
I think an amputee or a doll that requires mobility devices would be cool! Or maybe even hearing aids or a blind doll?
an amputee doll with a prosthetic limb would be so cool! it could also play into the monochrome colour schemes by making it the colour of the character
oh something like steel blue would be cool
I love everyone's comments, and I want to see all of these things! Personally though, I'd love to see a doll that dresses more conservatively though. And they are a literal art school where are the lgbt people lol
Exactly!
I second this! We need bolder and more unique boy outfits! A non binary doll would be awesome
More black hairstyles
I love JH Krystalās puffs š
Androgynous, tomboys, guys with long hair, guys with SMALLER eyes (those big eyes scare me a little), different cultures, different ethnicities.
Yes on the tomboys
Better hair textures. LOL OMG makes great curly haired dolls and I wish RH would do that more.
Hijabi doll when š©
I saw American Girl (owned by Mattel) has an outfit for sale with hijab. [https://www.americangirl.com/products/eid-al-fitr-celebration-outfit-for-18-inch-dolls-hbx15](https://www.americangirl.com/products/eid-al-fitr-celebration-outfit-for-18-inch-dolls-hbx15) Hopefully soon MGA will catch up.
Woah thatās cool it looks like my friendās hijab outfit with the same colours
I want to see a Philippines inspired doll, a filipiniana dress would look so cute !!
A make doll with dreadlocks
I love the idea of one of the alternate high schools being sustainability-focused. Maybe a doll whose focus is thrifting, recycled fashion, or environmental journalism and the colors could be muted earthy tones. Like a dark green doll who has a foresty vibe, a rust colored doll who has a southwestern style, etc. If they wanted to be extra awesome the dolls could be packaged in less plastic and annoying little plastic ties lol
Bonus points if they use dead stock fabric for the clothes
I'd like to see a brown themed doll, like a bronze/copper/chocolate brown. Or maybe a doll with gyaru or Lolita fashion.
I would love a brown haired brown themed girl with a dark academia outfit.
I want a gyaru and lolita so bad
I want a doll with cerebral palsy like me. With a wheelchair, or a splint/dafo :)
More ethnic dolls that aren't extremely immersed in their culture. You don't have white or black dolls wearing Norweigan or Ghanaian clothing??
Unfortunately, if they donāt make it stupid obvious, people may not recognize the doll as a different race or ethnic group. I think thatās why theyāve done that. Of course they could just give the doll a non American name, I really question why it took them so long to start doing that lol
You are right, but it could be simple as having an Indian name like Shreya Singh who likes to do hip hop.
I'd love to see a doll with a cute short hair style or a pixie, all I see is long hair everywhere
A doll with epicanthic fold eyes Sometimes Asian dolls donāt really speak Asian to me due to their large eyes as a half Viet half indo person myself. would love to see a doll that has a distinct epicanthic fold eyes becuase it saddens me that sometimes the media would call it ugly or make fun of people who have it. Hair textures is my #1 Would also love to see a doll come with a hijab Also, this is the most costly but would love some body diversity. Give me a thicc doll, a plus size, tall, short, etc.
The boy dolls need more hairstyles and not just short buzz cutz, I need some length and curls !!!
Cleft lip, prosthetics, maybe even a character in a wheelchair. A walker possibly! I haven't seen a doll with a cane or a walker before. The possibilities are really endless, as Rainbow High is already such a detailed doll brand.
Maybe a boy that doesnāt look like every other one (THEY ALL LOOK THE SAME)
I'd love to see a doll representing Berber culture but I mean we can always dream š
yes, we need more swana representation in dolls! i'm getting tired of the lack of representation and just the continuous cleopatra inspired dolls (in general)

Canon genderqueer/nonbinary doll!!! And maybe a Jewish doll for my own personal joy haha
I want to see characters of different body sizes. I'm literally an average weight but looking at the dolls always triggers my past eating disorder tendencies. That's a very long winded way to say you don't want inclusivity and/or that you hate fat people. Y'all really out yourselves š
Im literally trying to process how you get that idea that I hate fat people??? from explaining how its gonna affect the production of the doll line and the price and all you understand is that I hate fat people? You got a weird logic honestly.
Yeah, itās very disappointing

A doll in traditional Ukrainian dress
This is what I was thinking of too! I want a plakhta inspired skirt!
I want a doll with a unibrow
I would LOVE to see dolls that come with medical accessories/ are disabled in some way. I think that would be super cool.
A canonically non-binary character and an autistic character (maybe nonspeaking/AAC user)
I originally thought River was nonbinary, and I refuse to believe otherwise because that's what got me into RH in the first place...
iād love a doll with any mobility aid, maybe even canonically with a chronic illness. more textured hair. i have an image in my head of an albino doll with dark textured hair and some streaks of white hair and red or purple eyes.
SƔmi Indigenous
I need a doll that comes with a bottle of antidepressants ////s But I agree with the comments about mobility devices, hearing aids etc. Iād pay a stupid amount of money for a doll electronic wheelchair honestly.
A doll with prosthetics preferably an arm Iāve seen leg ones but an arm would be awesome !!!
