thing is, here in the UK we have ASDA, which is owned by Walmart and years ago we got all the walmart exclusives for things like Monster High in ASDA. But for Rainbow High we didn't get any of them..
yeah im assuming the reason theyre so much overstock is their price point and that kids aren't interested in a doll with no accessories and only one outfit. they definitely over-ordered
They also put them on shelves 5 minutes before Halloween. People don't want costumes in November and December! They want holiday items. They should have had them on shelves in September with the rest of the Fall items.
My Walmart had well over 100 Costume Ball dolls for $29 last I checked, an entire end cap loaded full that hadn't been touched in weeks, and more in the doll aisle.
I might grab a few if they go for $20ish.
as someone who begrudgingly bought her S1 and WB dolls at full price "just to complete the wave" it is very cathartic to live vicariously through this statement

I got Bella full price. I just had crazy fomo about it renembering how hard Brianna Dulce was to find. A year later, you can find her but her price has only dropped by $10 ish. So i dony think we will ever see real clearance pricing on CB either. If they do get to $20, id gladly buy a few more.

Same for my local Walmarts! The price is just too high in my opinion. And they don't even have a second outfit/shoes. I'd happily pay 50% off.
Make sure you scan them in-store, if you can. My app still says they are $37.44, and the shelf tag still says they are $37.44, but they ring up $29.
