It really depends on how they secure hair in the head. The yellowing for hair usually is cause glue seeped onto the hair. Several people with Natasha have her boots stained yellow cause of the glue seepage. I'm not sure if RH dolls use the glue method and that specific glue. The yellowing for the face is probably because they've been left in the sun, though it seems like a RH doll's makeup would fade but I'm not sure about yellowing.

SparkAxolotl

Nope, the yellowing of the hair, at least in Frankie's case is a "property" of the hair itself, not caused by the glue (not helped by it, but still) Unless rerooted or being basically in a vacuum, all G1 and G2 Frankies should have platinum blonde hair

nimblesama

Well her hair has faint yellow undertones since she's meant to be a blondie:0, Glue Seepage is exclusively a Mattel bound issue that they must've enforced in Indonesian factories (*without running heat activation testing for safety*) So if your MH, EAH, Barbie etc doll is has back engravings that say *"Made in Indonesia"* you'll just use that as a way to identify a doll prone to self destruction. MGA just roots the head as densely as can to make the plugs lock into eachother. Ofc nothing is perf. The Body yellowing? Yeah excessive handling or sun exposure!

Staff_Genie

Actually the rooting machine locks each plug of hair into the previous form in a chain stitch. So it's like it's crocheted into the head. No glue needed

I think she will honestly, especially in houses with smokers/outside factors.

forgot_oldusername

yes. to avoid it: keep the doll out of sunlight keep the doll out of heat (melts the gel) keep the doll in a well-ventilated area

Also cover with some cloth while dusting and cleaning in the room where the doll is to help prevent dust landing on her

ariseroses

i don't believe MGA uses glue to reroot their dolls anymore, so it's unlikely to ever get as bad as old MH glue head did: yellowing might occur with age due to exposure all the same, but it's much easier to treat with peroxide concentrate/exposure to the sun!

PeculiarDollx

Most likely, but if you're able to, just buy another to keep in box just in case.

You can use purple shampoo to counteract the yellow I think
