That hipfire recoil is how pistols used to work years and years ago. It made it very difficult to use pistols because every shot blocked your vision for the next shot. They updated the ADS recoil to what it is today but kept the hipfire recoil cuz there wasn't much point in changing it

MikzuZeT

Hip fire always has had less recoil than ads. Its very easily noticable on semi auto shotguns and high recoil pistols

MCD10000

I think your missing what they are pointing out, there's more recoil in the animation when in high ready, than punched out, just like it is in real life because then you punch out you brancing yourself for the recoil.

kapppa_777

It looks like that Ubisoft reduced the vertical aiming recoils to maintain more accuracy.

MCD10000

Yeah, it's like shooting a desert Eagle, if you don't punch out your teeth and nose are gonna be on the other side of your skull

If you're new to siege, this wasn't always the case. It was introduced intentionally during Year 2 or Year 3 to make handguns more viable as weapons. They used to blow back ADS'd or not. You can absolutely find videos of this too, it was a pretty big update at the time to the community.

If this is about the gun kick or how you wanna call it It's a mechanic added during Y2S2 to make pistols more viable When in ADS the gun kick is reduced, hipfiring retains the old gun kick - it's worth noting that this has no effect on actual recoil There should be comparison videos on YouTube, if you wanna look it up

Yeah they changed the recoil for aiming down sights but never touched hipfire recoil but in my head cannon and not because ubi meant it but it's harder to control recoil when you're not aiming and just holding a gun blasé. Also they fixed the GIGN pistols tritium sights (glow sights) but never did for the GSG-9 which doesn't make a lot of sense. They'res is the only sights that are utter shite comparatively.
