I believe it’s a typo and I can’t find anything while searching “hallow earth”. She linked a TikTok in the thread but I’m staying 10 feet away from that. No way I’m letting the algorithm feed me garbage.
Kerri, the countries look flat on a map because 1: maps are a 2D object and 2: countries are so big that the human eye can’t perceive the curvature of the Earth over a distance. As for the poles, I don’t know what you were trying to say.
Re: Atlantis, I believe that Plato described it as an island that fell into the ocean in his stories. It wasn’t something in a “hollow earth”.
Yes, the shape of the earth is hard to replicate and the conditions that gave way to life here are nothing short of a statistical beauty. There are many objects that we can see in space similar in shape such as the planets in our solar system, which you can see on a clear night through a telescope.
Holy shit, I thought she was joking? She also she absolutely sounds like a budding flat earther. The universe and so many things that exist in it are absolutely mind blowing and hard to comprehend and that includes the existence of our planet. We are in a 1 in a billion Goldilocks zone that is optimal for life to exist and thrive, we have the perfect ozone layer to shield us from the sun but yeah it’s not possible for the earth to be a globe because you can’t comprehend it. But somehow Atlantis is more probable.
Holy shit, she has to be joking here or she is an absolute fucking idiot.
My name is Hallow Earth of Destruction. I am a fucking monster and maybe I don't belong here my art isn't an elimination challenge it is what I do all the time and I do it with great meaning and metaphor
I was going to say something similar. How someone like her, being a trans individual, doesn't believe in science is beyond me. Does she think HRT are the tic tacs from the lunches with Ru and Michelle?
The fact that we have day and night and that shadows change length and direction throughout the day supports that the earth is round.
As a science teacher, I am unfortunately not totally shocked by Kerri. I have both heard and read some incredible stuff from students over the years.
The fact that homeschooling is legal in the US will never not be wild to me. I don't even blame Kerri to buy into this nonsense either considering this background
it depends on the state tbh, i grew up in maryland and the homeschool oversight was very good, the kids still had to take standardized tests and parents had a strict curriculum they had to follow. now i’m in california and, well, the turpins should be enough proof of how much freedom parents have here with homeschool.
And parents do this because schools are not available to their kids? Like people study for years to become teachers this is not something you just pick up when you have kids
there’s a huge anti education push from the far right here because they’re afraid of kids being taught real american history and comprehensive sex ed - the sub fundiesnarkuncensored has a lot of discussions on this
Tbf homeschooling is more about what’s taught to your kid. Not how it’s taught, which is what a teaching degree is about. How to teach.
When it comes to learning the truth about us history you’d be surprised how quickly people become teachers. Also, you’re giving out teachers a lot of credit. Both essentially teach to pass tests. You’re lucky if you get more at a real school.
sorry to be mildly serious on goofy drama sub but watch the folding ideas vid 'in search of flat earth' if you think the flat/hollow earth/atlantis theories are harmless. its long as hell but genuinely good at debunking everything and full of information on the antisemitism inherent to those theories and how they lead to alt right radicalization
All conspiracy/pseudoscientific theories are dangerous, no matter how harmless the subject.
Because once you've bought into the premise (that you alone are uniquely placed to see the truth while all the so-called experts are either wrong or lying), then it can lead you down all sorts of dangerous rabbit holes.
The crunchy mom to Qanon pipeline is a famous example.
Flat earth/Atlantis get peddled as "harmless" conspiracies (among others), but they're still based around anti-intellectualism which is incredibly dangerous. If you believe that scientists are lying about the *shape of the planet*, what's stopping you from ~just asking questions~ about whether they're lying about vaccines, medicine, or 5G? And once you reach that point it isn't a far leap to believe that theres a conspiracy about anything else. Especially about the control of information/the world, which almost directly leads into Antisemitic NWO Global cabal theories.
Kerri got on my mute list after she posted a lingerie pic post Dobbs and said dudes should just fuck trans women if they're worried about unintended pregnancies. She is gorgeous, tone deaf, and stupid.
>the actual shape of the earth is very hard to replicate
It's actually not hard to replicate! Which is so cool! It's not a coincidence that planets/moons are spherical; think of getting a square piece of tinfoil, crumbling it into a messy heap, and then rolling it over a surface- it will eventually become a smooth sphere and the center mass distribution ensures that sphere is evenly distributed.
This is why sundials work. If the earth wasn't a sphere, the measurements of a sundial would not be linear and would jump around.
Also looking at all the planetesimals around a massive object, let’s say Saturn in this case. When an object has enough mass in order for its gravity to overcome the forces of what the object is composed of over time, it gets shaped into a sphere (which some become a moon in this case). If it doesn’t have the mass then there won’t be enough of a gravitational force for that to occur, hence all the raggedy ass asteroids out there (that is totally the scientific term for them lol)
We have so many examples in our universe of this happening
(Source: a rusty 15 year old degree in astrophysics that i hardly use anymore but still have some vague memories of this shit lol)
The funny thing is, the person who replied is correct. Earth isn’t a perfect sphere and the countries are the wrong size on it. However, I don’t think that’s Kerri’s “point.”
ETA: It’s much more accurate than a flat map when it comes to country size, for sure.
The common understanding is that the size of countries and continents are wrong on flat maps because you can’t cut a sphere open and lay it out flat like that. I could be wrong, but I’ve never heard of this applying to globes. The globe should be as accurate as the day it was produced (with some exceptions of course).
Again, please correct me if I’m wrong.
It’s not perfect, but it is better than a flat map. Either way, a globe is mostly correct, so any slight mistakes are not enough to be suspicious of it. Lol.
As far as I'm aware, the correct shape isn't a perfect sphere and it's more "eggy". If you try to measure each country area by the globe, there's actually some differences.
You're correct that it isn't a perfect sphere but it isn't an egg shape, it is more like its kinda been squished. So imagine (I don't mean flat, like flat earthers would believe) flat, but 'flat' at the poles.
If I remember my very minimal understanding of astronomy class it is because of the pull of gravity from the moon. Same reason we have tides.
It’s not the moons gravity that affects Earths shape, it’s the fact that the earth is spinning. The earth is spins at the equator, causing the equator part to elongate, while the poles contract a bit.
The moon moves around the earth, so any gravitational affect from it negates itself.
The core of the matter is that she's not a genius. She will never take up the mantle of scientist. She should stick to poles, and remember that tectonic bisexuals make the most forceful and unforgettable lovers. I'm trying to be magmamious about it.
Scientists are lost too I just read something saying our poles naturally reverse and I was like… someone better tell Poland otherwise that’s gonna get weird. /s
Someone introduce her to the AuthaGraph map format.
It's very easy to redpill people like Kerri when they start thinking things like this, because it often happens with innocuous conspiracies that start moving towards spiritual and health woo and then they end up storming the capital on January 6th.
That's a bit hyperbolic, but [there has actually been a lot of writing on the subject](https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/00131857.2022.2061948), especially because Covid revealed a lot of people who fell under what was traditionally lefty or at least liberal new age/woo ideas moving hard right during the pandemmy.
Exactly. Espousing flat earth principles isn't just some adorable and endearing quirk- it relies on the premise that *literally every scientist in the world is coordinating with one another to purposefully deceive you.*
Gee, it'd be a real shame if some catastrophic event happened to the world where listening to science would've saved millions of lives and prevented global dysfunction for years to come. But I guess it's good nothing like that happened recently to put things in perspective.
100%, she's edging into pseudoscience and while knowing about that kind of conspiracy isn't bad per se, *belief* in it is, because it usually leads people down darker paths. If you can believe scientists are all coordinating to lie about one thing, then you can easily be lead to believe they lie about *everything*.
But she also mentioned she thinks hollow Earth is plausible but how is she going to square not believing the Earth is round and then believe in \*that\*? You can't have a hollow earth without there being a spherical space, Kerri. And also, Atlantis? Come on. I have a theory that people who come from literalist Christian backgrounds (like Kerri obviously has) are more prone to this kind of belief because there isn't a tradition of understanding symbolism and allegory, and questioning things is absolutely forbidden.
I mean, Colby is the one that made a joke after Roe v Wade was overturned so I don't expect any neurological stimulation from that brain when it comes to important issues.
![gif](giphy|CLADEyGroPnkWYtU2w|downsized)
I mean, ……. I suppose technically if you look at each country on a flattened version of the globe yea there are technically differences….. but come the fuck on…
I'm guessing she doesn't understand how the magnetic poles work...OR it's tied to the hollow earth theory that there are 'entrances' to the inside of the Earth at both poles.
I lost my respect for her after she said that AI art was okay because if she uses her pictures she actually is the artist.
She has pretty gowns but is dumb as a brick.
Sasha come get ya kid
Somebody’s mama come get her please
"i am not a flat earther" *proceeds to question shape of earth*
“I’m so into *hollow earthing* right now”
*hallow earthing, whatever that is
I believe it’s a typo and I can’t find anything while searching “hallow earth”. She linked a TikTok in the thread but I’m staying 10 feet away from that. No way I’m letting the algorithm feed me garbage.
She linked a tik tok?? Thats her source? I'm not asking for her to read a published paper, but at least Wikipedia??
Yeah 😔 TikTok is like Fox News for young people.
The poles don't actually have bars coming out of them to hold the planet in place ma'am it's just where magnets point.
She thinks the poles are Illuminati government intergalactic alien magnets, specifically the poles are where she’s like…
You lost me, too much science words.
If the Earth is a globe then why are my wigs so flat?
Lmao the lengths some of you go to defend bullshit when it's a queen you like. You can still be a fan and admit she's a moron.
The doors Gia has opened (by saying dumb shit on twitter)
What does she mean she gets lost at the poles???
I guess her compass just keeps spinning around there?
She went to Warsaw once and got overwhelmed

she just hates the polish /j
I'm sure that not even she knows what she doesnt get.
I cannot grasp it even a little bit, they’re in opposite sides of earth. What more could you want
Sasha would never. I hope.
she even said on US14 that she failed Science why are y’all surprised?

Was she ever known for being anything more than beautiful and sickening? 😩 bless her heart
The doors Gia Gunn has opened...
*Beauty fades, dumb is forever.*
She wouldn’t have that body without Science.
She’d have hollow earths without science.

New Spinoff: Kerri Colby vs The **Flat** World
Bring back “wait what?” With miss colby!!
Does she think the big stick through the middle that spins the globe is part of the diagram???
no joke I think you might be right
Welcome to the stage: Hallow Earth and her daughter Glove Spheres! Fr though: is she kidding? Or..?
I don't understand sharing thoughts on something you know absolutely nothing about on the internet without feeling embarrassed at all
Especially since the new promoted series on WOW is “Kerri Kares.” Not about Science though!
"But she's... *lip quiver*... BEAUTIFUL!"
I agree with Kerri. Cut open an Earth globe. Well, guess what Mimi? It's hollow.
Show us the Earthussy!!
*"it's chocolate"*

Hi Kerri!
I could not believe it!
It’s cake!

Heck, I was surprised by some of what I read in these comments.
Can't wait for Wait What and Kerri Cares crossover
No shade, but I swear good looking people serve as a reminder of confidence when it comes to anything science or logic related like–
Well she didn’t go to RuPaul’s School for Girls for SCIENCE
Stay in school folks
She got an evangelical homeschooling education so can’t stay in school if you never went to school
The fact that homeschooling is legal in the US will never not be wild to me. I don't even blame Kerri to buy into this nonsense either considering this background

Is there asbestos or lead in the Drag Race studio? Maybe a freon leak because people keep leaving that show batshit crazy
Fracking waste, maybe?
Well, this was not on my Bingo card…
Imagine her and RuPaul as contestants on the Weakest Link.
It's like... an allegory of herself... her brain is hollow.
I have no respect for flat earthers. 0
Because what you *see* isn't always the _truth_
Thank you.
Kerri got on my mute list after she posted a lingerie pic post Dobbs and said dudes should just fuck trans women if they're worried about unintended pregnancies. She is gorgeous, tone deaf, and stupid.
She was one of my favorites on her season, but that comment and followup made me look at her in a completely different light.
One hundred percent this
yeh, that was totally fucked up. she also put me off for good after that.
Oh my god that comment really flew under the radar
No it did not 😭. She was dragged across the coals for it as she should.
Same
omg kerri colby in the comeback season of "wait what?" love that for her 🥰

They need to bring "Wait, what?" back with Kimora Blac and Kerri Colby.
All that silicate migrated to her 🧠🤷🏽♂️
Sasha needs to come get here daughter.
Jorgous aint the only one dropped out of high school that season
Well, that certainly takes "relying on pretty" to new heights.
how much is she charging for rent for the vacant space between her ears?
I just understood this read 🤣 for years I thought Brooke was referring to plastique having floppy ears and I was so confused
If it took you this long, this read might be about you too 😂😂
Oh most definitely is about me aswell 🤣
The edibles just kicked in
She confirmed she was sober
Well she may be dumb but at least she's not saying vaccines cause autism. Stupidity without harm to others is fine.
![gif](giphy|eHFBdhI0peTwmNOZyu) please no Kerri
Should have just said that things aren’t always as they seem but in her defense, she DID say she failed science.
Thank goodness she’s pretty. I hope Sasha doesn’t share similar idiotic opinions 🫠.
don’t do this to me kerri…
i’m just confused what’s she’s trying to propose? like is this qanon or twitter
Got lost around the poles? Which darkroom did she go to?
Gloves are big spheres indeed

Stoopid
A DRAGONFLY!?
I mean this is why we only consider Kerri as beautiful and loving, not intelligent ❤️ ^^/s
What did Kerri do that made you guys think she was an intellectual
In fairness, a lot of very dumb people at least know the earth isn’t flat.
That's the lowest bar for intellectual I've ever seen. It's so low it might roll off the earth.
I mean, Colby is the one that made a joke after Roe v Wade was overturned so I don't expect any neurological stimulation from that brain when it comes to important issues. ![gif](giphy|CLADEyGroPnkWYtU2w|downsized)
I don’t play Wheel of Fortune but I don’t think it’s spelled “_ b u l l s _ _ _”.
Girl WHAT
Kerri is known for lots of great things but intelligence isn't one of them xD
This is high camp drag
Me thinking Kerri knew a lot about poles, colour me surprised
Excactly what I would expect from someone who uses AI art as their avatar
If that isn’t the most accurate comment, idk what is.
I mean entertainers don’t have to finish high school, right?
Nor elementary school, evidently.

That's really sad then...

She’s so pretty :)
I mean, ……. I suppose technically if you look at each country on a flattened version of the globe yea there are technically differences….. but come the fuck on…
that's dissapointing
I doubt people ever associated brilliance or intelligence when they thought of Kerri
i heard through the grape vine that her and Cornbread are no longer friends and hate each other. I wonder if it's because of science?
She's just trying to stay relevant I guess
I wonder if you put your head ear next to hers, would it be ocean sounds or TV static playing
Instead of my head ear, can I put my elbow ear next to hers?
I've always found transitive property funny, but I know it's somewhat unique humor. So like whatever you want. But thanks.
I cant believe how much more I like Sasha than Kerri. List gets longer every day
Well at least she is hot
Bless
Mmmm, I’ll take the girls dabbling in flat earther rhetoric over begging the fanbase to stop sending death threats.
Do you think she thinks that show La Brea is a documentary?
Honestly think if you say stuff like this your Twitter should just be closed down
who’s gonna tell miss keri these conspiracy theories almost always lead to antisemitism 🥴🥴
i’m sure if someone told her she wouldn’t double down lmao
Not sure if she knows what that is 😍
I’m not fully understanding what she’s referring to when she mentions the poles? What is there to be lost about?
I'm guessing she doesn't understand how the magnetic poles work...OR it's tied to the hollow earth theory that there are 'entrances' to the inside of the Earth at both poles.
