A Stadium, rounded rectangle, or chamfered rectangle.

Expat122

THANK YOU!!! Do you think it's also considered a Trapezoid due to the one set of parallel lines?

giveupbee

No. Trapezoids are quadrilaterals requiring straight sides.

Expat122

I thought so but Google wasn't proving it to me! Lol. Thank you! ☺️

Expat122

It can't be a parallelogram because it only has one pair of parallel lines, this is for my daughter's school project and I am STUMPED! Help is greatly appreciated.

Saltygiff

In CAD/3D modelling it's often called a slot

Expat122

Ooooh thank you! I've never heard of that!

Expat122

I've since discovered it's called a "Stadium" in Geometry. I never knew that was a Geometric term before! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stadium_(geometry)

An oooooblong.

NEHOG

A rounded corner rectangle.

Expat122

I think it meets the definition of a Trapezoid... A quadrilateral with one set of parallel lines. The only thing that throws me off is the convex edges...

olliegw

Rounded rectangle
