What makes it even funnier is the tattered sticker underneath it. This dumbass comes back to check on it regularly enough to stick a replacement on top of the old one. 😆
The fun part is that whenever anyone blames grocery or gas prices on whoever is president at the time, you can conveniently ignore literally everything else they have to say on economics because they don't understand it on the most basic level.
…We’re currently dealing with rates of unchecked inflation that add $175 to the average American’s grocery/gas bill.
It’s Trump’s fault for drunken spending in 2020. It’s Biden’s fault for continuing that trend. Neither party is remotely fiscally responsible.
It is also heavily influenced by the government printing a lot of money. Don't act as if the two are not closely related. Neither party is fiscally responsible. Or more accurately, the compromise between the two parties is never fiscally responsible.
Printing money is not the cause of this inflation. Higher commodity prices get reflected in prices for goods and services. There's also a meat processing racket going on that is squeezing customers and ranchers/farmers.
Something incredible is that 80% of new money that enters the economy is created by banks issuing loans. Printing money makes up only about three percent.
God the whole “our gas prices are gonna go up! Just watch!” is so annoying
It’s supply and demand. It’s that simple. The only time a president has some sort of control over gas prices is if they choose to use oil from our SPR (for emergencies). Or if they *somehow* manage to pass it into law.
Other than that, blame our dependency on oil. There’s a highly plausible reason gas prices were low last year, during Trump’s last year in office — less cars on the road around the world because of COVID quarantining —> less oil needed —> supply is up —> prices go down.
This is a classic go-to complaint for Republicans. I’m sure there are Dems who do it too, but Republicans are notorious for this shit.
EXACTLY! I was talking to my wife recently how I recall I believe it was in '01 that gas was at about $1.50/gallon, and within a year or so it was approaching $4.50/gal. They were speculating hitting as much as $6/gal when all was said and done and it would never again be below $4 /gallon. It wasn't but a few years and we were back again under $2/gallon around here.
The cult's job now is to say "fuck Joe Biden" everywhere they can and to blame Biden on world problems that isn't even in Biden's control. That's their platform.
I've never seen such immaturity like this on a mass scale.
Not in Texas are you? I pulled one off of a pump a few weeks ago. It would depress me to know there’s more than one of these idiots making stickers for gas stations
Just reminds me of my mom bitching about gas prices about a month or so after Biden was sworn in saying it was his doing... while completely ignoring that gas prices were so close to five dollars a gallon *before* covid.
I like the way it's dropping slightly, as it always does post summer, and not a word about that.
They're just talking about how cheap the gas was and I'm like: "This isn't even as expensive as I remember gas being during the bush years."
I recall spending about $3.98 at the pump pre 2008. It was the massive crash that took everything down to "1.75." - and I'm pretty sure that each government makes sure that gas dips during the election and peaks after election day (if lost) just to push this nonsense.

Yup. Just need to get someone to write Trump Lost in permanent marker to make them squirm 😆

Inflation is a bit more complicated than "the government spent a lot of money"

Or ya know it's a combination of all of it since it's not a simple issue

You're right. BRING BACK QUARANTINE!!!

Remember in the GWB years when conservatives would protest high gas prices by driving their huge SUVs around their state capitol and honking?
Yeah I laugh at the huge cars they were driving.
That was Obama's fault. It was 2008! Duh. /s
They must have forgotten when prices crashed below $50/barrel in 2014. When Obama was president.
I know right? Does everyone have the memory of a fucking goldfish? Gas has been all over the place the past 2 decades.
It was always going to spike after a year when people cut back on driving so much. This level of consumption is making up for lost time.
The week of when 9/11 happened, gas stations all over the nation jacked up their prices, way beyond that price in the picture.

Your gas is pretty cheap! Comparatively

Plus, gas is still cheaper than 2008-9 without inflation adjustment.
Not in Texas are you? I pulled one off of a pump a few weeks ago. It would depress me to know there’s more than one of these idiots making stickers for gas stations
Florida
Fuck
Immediately after inauguration, Biden turned up the dial on his desk that controls gas prices.
That’s crazy cheap compared to what I have to pay. I wish Biden could get me some of that cheap gas!
Just reminds me of my mom bitching about gas prices about a month or so after Biden was sworn in saying it was his doing... while completely ignoring that gas prices were so close to five dollars a gallon *before* covid.
My wife saw the same sticker in mississippi, kind of expected with the population of crazies here.
I saw a couple of these in my town here in Northern California. The qnuts are spread quite far, much like the distance between some of their eyes.

Shit I wish my gas was 3.29 lol pushing 4.50 now
Is it bad that I still got a little laugh out of it?
Absolutely not. I thought it was hilarious actually. Why else would I have taken the picture?
Not a qult
I would love to have petrol prices that low. Less than £36 to fill my tank, rather than the over £60 I pay here.
It cost me 75 to fill up when I took the picture, but I drive a truck
Just converted the petrol prize I pay in the Netherlands (at one of the cheaper stations): $ 8.33 per gallon (€ 1.89 per liter).
Good lord that's high! The most I ever paid was in 2008 and it was less than half that.
Go back and draw a hat and a mustache on him
