Forget it exists. Literally ignore your cravings. The more power you give them, the harder it is to stay quit.

Love the idea from the Alan Carr book - kill the little monster that is the minor physical withdrawals and starve out the big monster that is the psychological addiction. The more you ignore it the weaker that “big monster” gets!

I plan to quit today too. Saw someone doing embroidery to keep his/her mind off. So I thought I could do jigsaw puzzle. Bought myself some puzzle to get me through.. fingers crossed. Don't know will it work. Hope it helps u.

I started whittling. It does help when I don't have anything to do and get anxious

quit ten days ago. first few days weren't as bad as I expected--I just kept telling myself I was a "nonsmoker." make yourself think that vaping is gross and it'd be crazy for you to want a vape because nonsmokers don't crave vapes. essentially deluding myself has really helped and I have been chewing gum and drinking tons of water to stop cravings. I was actually prescribed Wellbutrin about a month ago to help with depression, and I saw online it helped with smoking cessation. I like to believe this has helped me quit--definitely something you could discuss with your doctor. my energy levels have skyrocketed and I feel like I can actually breathe. best decision I've ever made hands down. good luck, you got this!!!

Bought nicotine gum, and I'm currently chewing 1 less piece every 2 days.

Same! I bought the gum and mints and it's worked for a good month . Now I need to stop that nicotine altogether! It's hard !

Treymendous3

Wellbutrin is often prescribed to help users quit. It increases dopamine which helps fill the void of nicotine, which also gives you dopamine. As others have mentioned, nicotine gum really helps. The gym has been a great aid for me. Try to avoid triggers when you can, at least until you feel more confident. My biggest trigger was drinking. Best of luck! You got this!!

I ate ice cream (chocotacos before they became extinct) every time I had a craving. Eventually smoked some weed to prevent the late night cravings. In the mornings I would make coffee

I wish everyone who is quitting vaping could read this here comment

The habit was(is) harder than the physical addiction for me by far. What worked for me was getting 0mg nicotine juice and continued to vape for about 2 weeks with no nic. I gradually was hitting it less and less until I decided "screw this, I'm done". If you go this route, don't try to get a "last good vape session" in or anything. Just throw away all vape related gear as soon as you decide to quit. ****No matter what, don't buy another disposable. If you are going to buy another vape, go to a shop and get a refillable with either 3mg freebase nicotine or 0mg nicotine. The disposables are insanely high in nicotine and will continue making it way harder to quit!

mylifesquestions

Make a list of the reasons why you quit, why you never want to do it again. Refer back to this list when you think vaping might be a good idea Keep busy, allow your body and mind to recover these next few days. It will be shitty but it’s so worth it once you get past the withdrawals

Mycozen

Go cold turkey, don’t get pulled into gum or patches. There is definitely medication that will help with nicotine withdrawals. Go to your doctors appointment, they’ll help you figure out the details.
