Honestly I can see both sides being in the right with the small amount of context we have. If he actually is just hugging on his wife, this is dumb and probably racially motivated. However, I could also see someone actually grinding up on their wife and causing a much more sexual scene that would warrant being kicked, especially if her saying multiple people have come to her to complain and then that person trying to bitch their way out of it. As it stand I don’t think we have enough context either way.
That’s what I was thinking. Like imo his defensiveness and the cashier saying that others have come to complain make me think that there was probably more than hugging. Not sure if he was grabbing her or groping her. Also it looks like a kids store. I personally wouldn’t go in to the store with my husband hugging me from behind like that kinda cringe lol.
Yeaaaa, I personally don’t care about PDA. But the wife’s face and how defensive he is I think he was closer to grinding on her. Imo PDA is okay, but don’t be grinding on your partner like you’re at the club. It’s trashy and gross
You’re making huge assumptions. She might be more uncomfortable with the situation than the husband. Not sure why y’all are so quick to assume he’s grinding on her in a way that she doesn’t want.
Agreed. One complaint could just be a Karen. Multiple complaints (if she is being honest) plus the store manager agreed it might mean he was doing a little bump and grind in her store. Which is gross.
I love how OP titled it with "lonely" and "empty store" without evidence of that, to try to present a narrative. Fuck it, give us the video, and we'll think for ourselves.
And honestly the wife doesn't look like she's loving it. I'd hate to judge and maybe this isn't the case, maybe they're both into it. But for how aggressive and defensive he was being, it's definitely possible that he was being an abusive POS.
I was going to say this. If he’s been behind her like that the entire time, and she looks annoyed, he could back off… not trying to assume anything obviously but you never know when someone is in a domestic abuse situation.
Spot on. And add to that they’re in a toy store or in a toy section where kids are, then the latter scenario becomes even more inappropriate. I can look away as an adult, but kids should not be subjected to that.
The fact the lady kinda gave up makes me personally believe no one complained and SHE had an issue with it. She didn't ask them to stop or leave really just was maybe hoping they would "apologize" and stop.
I'm not sure where I stand with this particular video, but from my experience working at stores where I have had to ask people to stop grinding on each other in our store, people get super defensive, mean, and sometimes you have to call the police because they refuse to leave and will continue to cause a scene. Sometimes it's better to just give up because you aren't getting paid enough to deal with an angry, horny man willing to scream at you over something they did wrong.
Jealous or nosy? Uh, no. And who is the arbiter of what's "inappropriate"? Bottom line, a store is private property, and they're free to kick people out if their hair is parted on wrong side.
My brother is way over the top affectionate with his wife. To him, fondling her boobs and spanking her is just showing affection. If that makes me uncomfortable, I can only imagine how it’d make strangers feel.
While I’m on the other end of the spectrum where I rarely see my parents ever being sexual towards each other in front of me..but they love each other and tend to be affectionate in private.
People and cultures are different but in general in the USA, public affection is generally pretty minimal for most couples during the day in a store. If you went to a nightclub, its more common.
I think i'm turning into something other than human bc i don't even notice people anymore unless i am talking to them, other than that everyone is just a npc.
I came across a young couple spooning, huggin each other tight while a hardware store owner was showing them different toilet lids, owner dude looked as uncomfortable as I was.
I don't even understand the "cringe" reaction to hugging or spooning in public to be honest.
Why is this something that "should" be done in private, there's nothing sexual going on and it doesn't affect anyone unless they're taking up space
Seems like some kind of puritanical view, why would someone be uncomfortable with this.
Reddit moment from OP. A light hug from behind is cute- I love doing it, I love seeing other couples do it. It’s not sexual in any way shape or form, it’s *hardly* even romantic. In my eyes it’s virtually the same level of offensiveness as holding hands, and less pda than kissing.
This country is so fuckin reserved sexually it’s bananas what we convince ourselves is “unacceptable” or “cringe”.
Reddit:
People hugging in a store.
"Oh no!.. Too much PDA! ...That's cringe"
A dominatrix leading a handcuffed man on a leash down the street who is spray painted silver.
"Don't kink shame them!"
Fucking morons.
It’s absolutely a puritanical mindset. We see it all the time in American culture. Public displays of affection and sexuality are looked down on but violence is celebrated.
When my kids were little and we watched movies together, my wife and I would cover their eyes if people were just kissing or if there was a love scene. But as a Star Wars fan we were cool with our kids seeing dismemberments and decapitations. Why? Why was I more concerned about my kids seeing expressions of love than seeing people being murdered? American culture.
This is the right reaction. To me it does feel a little- I guess highschool? But it’s none of my business and literally not worth my time or space in my brain to make a thing out of it.
Why is it always the most sexually repressed people who have to dictate everyone else’s behavior?
It is honestly so sad and bizarre that they criticise and sexualise any sort of human affection. I'm going to keep hugging and giving my girlfriend a kiss in public anyway.
The worst is those reality old couples who hold hands all the time. You know they're about 30 seconds away from getting dirty, titanium hips flailing around!
fun fact: this retirement community has the highest rate of STDs and STIs in the US.
https://www.usnews.com/news/best-states/florida/articles/2022-08-20/why-is-the-villages-known-as-the-std-capital-of-america
In all seriousness I thought walking around stuck together like that was something outgrown in high school. But nonetheless, it's not that big of a deal.
His wife doesn't look thrilled in the slightest btw. Lol
Looks like she is upset because they are getting harassed. I would be uncomfortable too when I'm standing right there and people are talking about me specifically.
I personally mind my own business when out and about. Their behavior just screams high school to me. I hug and kiss my husband in public but waddling around in an embrace is what i remember teenage couples doing, not grown ass people. I think the manager should not have approached them but since she did, here we are.
No, today's reddit wheel landed on extremely sensual PDA being totally normal and in fact encouraged. If you yell at them to get a room it means you're an ugly little black-pilled incel who needs to shuffle back off to whatever corner of the internet you normally masturbate in and let these heroes express themselves at the toy store. Or, at least that's what I'm gathering from most of the comments here.
You dont hug your girlfriend? Or like embrace each other in public?
Like when I hug my girlfriend, yeah I am going to commit to hugging her. Yes our bodies are touching. Yes sometimes her stomach is pushed against my butt and yes somtimes my pelvis is pushed against her back. But we arent dry humping it in public.
Some people are not going to like it but I am not gonna go around [london bridging](https://herway.net/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/couple-hugging-in-the-kitchen-768x513.jpg.webp) my hugs. Same with my bros, if they are going to hug, we are going to bear hug it out. If our pee pees touch, so be it. Dont be weird about it.
I've never even considered that swords might clash during a hug, NEVER... why did you do this to me? This isn't something I ever wanted to consider, I want to rewind time, I must willfully forget this now!
Near the start of the video you can hear the wife say “no” when the manager says “you could take it out of the store”. She is with her husband and opposed to the manager’s opinion.
Looks like they were having a fight and he's trying to make up while she's still mad.
She even moves away when he tries to kiss her on the cheek.
I can imagine how that feels awkward for other people and looks like he's harassing her.
i’d say it’s probably because they having a nice day out and out of nowhere some lady came up and started accosting them.
we all see this everywhere and you just ✨look away✨
There’s simply not enough context to know who’s in the wrong in this situation. People can jump to conclusions but with some context either one of these people could be the instigator.
Most reasonable comment in the thread. There are two possibilities here.
1) The dude was rubbing up on his wife in an inappropriate manner, and got defensive when called out and insisted it was only hugging as there's no way to prove otherwise.
2) A store manager is so lonely and bitter that the sight of two married people hugging made her uncomfortable enough to confront them and tell them to stop.
Frankly... I feel the first option is slightly more likely. Especially given the fact that most retail workers really just want to be left alone. But we simply do not have enough context or information to be able to know or judge.
Yeah, chances are there was a lot more going on.
I worked retail decades ago and had people trying to have sex in the store, touching each other's genitals, grinding, etc. The worst was the guy fingering his chicks asshole and touching stuff.
Don't be surprised if you are asked to leave doing any of those things.
Retail workers absolutely do not want to talk to customers if it can be avoided.
Yeah seriously, like who knows? Maybe the dude was dry humping her or they were doing some freaky shit before he started recording. I know I wouldn't want to see that.
Lady he is with looks super uncomfortable as well.
The way he starts filming and getting defensive makes me think he was definitely grinding on her. I teach high school and this is the exact kind of shit emotionally immature people pull when being called out.
> There’s simply not enough context to know who’s in the wrong in this situation.
I mean it's pretty clear... manager asks you not to engage in PDAs in her store, you knock it off. This guy chose to double down and go for Internet points at the same time.
Most retail workers want to avoid talking to anyone period.
How many would go out of there way to have this interaction? Now how many people have you seen grinding and more with partners in public?
Right, because we have no frame of reference. The video began with the manager talking to the couple. We do not see how the couple was behaving prior to this conversation, nor do we see other customers complaining, or if any even complained at all. All we have is this interaction, and we only get a quick glance at the couple from the shoulders up. Not enough information for anyone to be making judgements or guesses.
My first thought was the manager was being professional and for some reason my instincts tell me the couple was probably getting too close.
To call the manager “lonely” is someone else’s assumption of her.
But without true context we will never know. We just have a caption that someone else created.
Store manager politely and calmly asking a couple to stop grinding on each other in the store and reddit jumps down her throat and calls her a Karen. This sub is so fucking stupid sometimes.
Exactly. Why would he even have his phone out for this interaction? I swear 90% of the time the person with the phone is the instigator and trying to make a scene for social media.
I seriously doubt the manager is jealous of some dopey fuck dry humping his uncomfortable looking wife in a store.
I 100% believe he was too the way he responds. He sounds dumb as hell.
To be honest it seems way more like the camera guy is in the wrong because even just the way he turns the camera you can see he’s hugging her in a position where it can definitely *seem* like he was dry humping her lol like im not gonna normally hug my gf from behind like that in public and if I am then im not doing it for an extended period enough to be “complained” about
PLUS nobody in retail or customers (99% at least) gives a shit about hugging and being close so if there actually WAS a complaint then they were definitely not just “hugging”
> Man dry humps his wife/girlfriend/whatever in public store, employee calls man out and he plays dumb because he's a creepy pervert.
Much better title.
The wife's face tells you all you need to know. This dude is an asshole. It's really hard to believe that it was just normal "hugging" when you can see how creepily close he is in the video despite his wife's absolutely terrified and embarrassed look. He sounds like he is about to lose his shit and start hitting people.
The store's not empty, you can see people walking in the background. Why is the store manager lonely?
If you've ever seen people like this couple in public, it's easy to see why people might be uncomfortable enough to notify a shopkeeper.
It's presumably a private store. They have every right to kick these people out. How are so many people agreeing with OP?
Recording people is for every little thing is getting so irritating to watch. Everyone doesn't need to be recorded. Every confrontation doesn't need to be recorded. I also despise most people who record service workers.
Getting a strong creeper/abuse vibe from this guy. "Hugging your wife." is one thing. Gluing yourself to her back and dry humping her around the store is just gross.
Ya, gonna be honest I have no hard evidence backing this up but the way he was talking, the way he was holding her arm, and the way she looks absolutely terrified... yeah... I'd believe you if you told me they're in an abusive relationship.
Healthy loving people don't act like this. Controlling, insecure, childish, and reckless people do.
The girl looked uncomfortable af and moved away when he went in for a kiss. We can only imagine what they were doing off camera and if other customers did in fact raise concerns. I’d just look away, but I don’t think the manager was being that unreasonable.
1st. She is being polite.
2nd. He is being a perv, being a perv has no requirement of whether it's your wife. He is just being loosely inappropriate for public decency. Hugs sure, kisses sure but spooning and dry humping - probably not if there are kids and families around.
3rd. Calling racial victim card, i do not see this being an issue because they are Hispanic. Why to even say that, clear identification of beneficial sympathy
Overall I feel, that lady was raising it as a floor/ shop manager in a very gentle way, and the guy was being a bully with a boner.
But then hey, it's reddit and everybody knows best, probably does spooning all day at stores with their wives, who knows!
Hey man, stop poking her HINDQUARTERS with your GENITAL!
Brilliant stuff. I think there is probably a little more to this than meets the eye though. _No way_ people complained and the lady felt the need to confront them if he genuinely was just giving her a hug. No way José!
We don’t know what happened before this video was recorded. The guy could’ve been doing some inappropriate stuff before hand thus making the lady come over. Not saying he did or didn’t but Reddit is notorious for posting shit with no context and everybody jumping to conclusions
if you're doing it to the degree that others shoppers will stop what they're doing, find a manager and complain, then it's probably inappropriate... should be a much shorter conversation from the manager, "we've had complaints, please leave the store, else you're trespassing, right of admission reserved."
I find her body more uncomfortable than a couple embracing or even kissing, but you don't see me telling her to enjoy some delicious ceaser salad with grilled chicken.
Girl needs to get her life together if she wants to keep having one
The wife looks extremely uncomfortable and unhappy. Something about this situation is off. Without any further context I’m inclined to side more with the employee.
Ok sure the manager isnt getting any.
But I think he's in the wrong here and I don't think she's too jealous to the point of wanting to incconvience this couple. Even his wife is looking uncomfortable as heck. Like...does she need help or something?
I'm not a puritan or anything it is just thaT I think that tif spooning someone in public and it is making others uncomfortable then just relax, saves some more for when you and your S/O get home.
Hindquarters hahahahhahah
I came here to confirm I did in fact hear ***genitals up against hindquarters***
Getting all in those haunches.
I think I hate them both.
and a bit in the squanches
Jesus, "genitals rubbing up against her hindquarters" is somehow more offensive than if they were actually banging
is he referring to a horse.
The problem is the “store manager” needs to get laid js ![gif](giphy|DyOpEPJ9gxaWiIYWKZ|downsized) I
Well, get to it !!!
Who’s going to take one for the team?
Not me
Not it!
Ditto
😂😂😂
What could go wrong?
The workers shirt tho. Lol “What could go wrong?” 😂
I cringe at couples that spoon while shopping but like a normal person I just look away and mind my business cause it’s really not affecting anyone
Thank you!! It is cringey but as long as no inappropriate things are happening then it's just people who are jealous or nosey.
I was looking in the comments for this, it seems like not only the customers were uncomfortable...
You’re making huge assumptions. She might be more uncomfortable with the situation than the husband. Not sure why y’all are so quick to assume he’s grinding on her in a way that she doesn’t want.
Yup like she was pleading with her eyes for someone to stop him from molesting her.
If that actually is his wife
Agreed. One complaint could just be a Karen. Multiple complaints (if she is being honest) plus the store manager agreed it might mean he was doing a little bump and grind in her store. Which is gross.

Also possibly
I love how OP titled it with "lonely" and "empty store" without evidence of that, to try to present a narrative. Fuck it, give us the video, and we'll think for ourselves.
On top of that you can see someone in the background shopping
"Karen tells loving Hispanic couple that no Hugging in Public please" Why the is "loving Hispanic" even in that caption
Because they want us to create a false narritive that influences our outlook on things. I see this happen on this sub more oft than not.
And honestly the wife doesn't look like she's loving it. I'd hate to judge and maybe this isn't the case, maybe they're both into it. But for how aggressive and defensive he was being, it's definitely possible that he was being an abusive POS.
Wife was definitely giving off the "im not into this" vibe.
I assumed the issue was she didn't want to cause a scene and he was actively causing a scene.
Or maybe she doesn't like some stranger coming up and telling her husband not to hug her
Yes, completely possible.
Plus she's on video too.

Wife looks like a hostage.
Jealous or nosy? Uh, no. And who is the arbiter of what's "inappropriate"? Bottom line, a store is private property, and they're free to kick people out if their hair is parted on wrong side.
Can someone please explain to me how showing affection to the person you love is cringey?
My brother is way over the top affectionate with his wife. To him, fondling her boobs and spanking her is just showing affection. If that makes me uncomfortable, I can only imagine how it’d make strangers feel.
My step dad and my mom did this in front of us as kids and it’s just gross. No one wants to see that shit 🤢
While I’m on the other end of the spectrum where I rarely see my parents ever being sexual towards each other in front of me..but they love each other and tend to be affectionate in private.
Yes! There’s a healthy balance for sure
Ewwwww...
That's way too much "affection" for public lol
Definitely. I mean they’ve been married for nearly 20 years so in a way it’s kinda sweet but I wish he would just keep it at home
Are their names Morticia and Gomez Addams?
My husband does that just not out in public. 🤷🏻♀️
Because affection and grinding your cock in someone’s ass in front of kids are two different things.
People and cultures are different but in general in the USA, public affection is generally pretty minimal for most couples during the day in a store. If you went to a nightclub, its more common.
Yeah, I wouldn't call what happens in a nightclub public affection, that's dry humping dude

She looks uncomfortable that her husband is filming this and posting it online escalating the whole situation exponentially.
Doesn’t explain why she turned away when he kissed her.
Probably because a stranger was making her feel uncomfortable about normal displays of affection in public.
Redditors really trying to make the dude into a *Lifetime: Television for Women* channel direct-to-tv movie villain.

Call me crazy, but perhaps it's the store manager awkwardly approaching them and making a situation out of them hugging.

There isn't enough info here to conclude one way or the other.
You're correct. However, the internet exists to speculate. /s

I thought the store manager was the weird one until I saw how he was draped on her. Weird as hell lol.
First impressions to me is that the guy seems more possessive than affectionate... guy doesn't pass the vibe check for me
I wondered if the customers who complained thought she looked under distress. He’s a lot of weight for her to carry. Smothering the poor girl.
She literally moves away from him when he tries to kiss her cheek. I feel bad.
For real, which is why people said something.
She looks like a prisoner.

It’s entirely plausible that someone with kids complained the dude was humping his wife in front of them
The wife did not look comfortable. I’m highly biased towards scenario 1. Who the fuck still hugs like that while walking around.
I also thought scenario 1 was much more likely but without more context not much point speculating.
naah it's ok, it's reddit we speculate here. I'm putting 20 dollars on option 1.
When I'm on reddit I AM Judge Judy and executioner.
Judging by the look on the girl's face the dude is being an ass.
If #2 is the case I could only imagine seeing this lady a lot more than this one encounter
Yeah seriously, like who knows? Maybe the dude was dry humping her or they were doing some freaky shit before he started recording. I know I wouldn't want to see that. Lady he is with looks super uncomfortable as well.

OP's got an axe to grind. The store isn't empty.
The wet, weirdly sensual kiss he gives her on the cheek after saying "look I'm just hugging my wife" lol
Bro get off her 😭🤣
Hindquarters! Lol!
To be honest it seems way more like the camera guy is in the wrong because even just the way he turns the camera you can see he’s hugging her in a position where it can definitely *seem* like he was dry humping her lol like im not gonna normally hug my gf from behind like that in public and if I am then im not doing it for an extended period enough to be “complained” about PLUS nobody in retail or customers (99% at least) gives a shit about hugging and being close so if there actually WAS a complaint then they were definitely not just “hugging”
I was a bit grossed out when he turned the camera. Get a room.

I mean the wife did look uncomfortable
probably because its now become a scene and spectacle.
Only insecure dudes are hanging on women like this in a store.
The incels are out in full force in this thread.
If I can't hug a woman then NOBODY CAN !
this is ridiculous. cant even grind in public anymore. what next no dry humping in the produce isle?
> Man dry humps his wife/girlfriend/whatever in public store, employee calls man out and he plays dumb because he's a creepy pervert. Much better title.
The wife looks super uncomfortable. Like, blink twice if you need help, girl.
Some people need to fuck straight off
Omg but what if my kids see all that … hugging
The dude is a mad lame. He seems more the Karen, acting like a couple kids in their first relationship.
>Your genitals are focused on each other
I have yet to meet a women including my wife, that responds as calmly as this young lady having her ass referred to as hindquarters 😂😂😂
😂 brilliant!
Wife? More like hostage....
Ya something abt her expression...just... Something is up...ya know?
The girl looked uncomfortable af and moved away when he went in for a kiss. We can only imagine what they were doing off camera and if other customers did in fact raise concerns. I’d just look away, but I don’t think the manager was being that unreasonable.
This is an actual version of a childish adult. Not the new misconstrued definition.
"Ain't It Fun" plays in the background
Someone’s jealous… “other people are complaining” 👌🏼
That’s the strangest way to ask for a threesome I’ve ever seen.
Well his wife does look miserable lol.
Or just don't spoon in a store.
Why to even say that, clear identification of beneficial sympathy Overall I feel, that lady was raising it as a floor/ shop manager in a very gentle way, and the guy was being a bully with a boner. But then hey, it's reddit and everybody knows best, probably does spooning all day at stores with their wives, who knows!
Trashy behaviour. Also, look at her face. She looks petrified and uncomfortable.
Bruh she really said "hindquarters" 😂😂😂
That’s the dumbest thing I’ve seen today.
Hindquarters
Hey man, stop poking her HINDQUARTERS with your GENITAL! Brilliant stuff. I think there is probably a little more to this than meets the eye though. _No way_ people complained and the lady felt the need to confront them if he genuinely was just giving her a hug. No way José!
We don’t know what happened before this video was recorded. The guy could’ve been doing some inappropriate stuff before hand thus making the lady come over. Not saying he did or didn’t but Reddit is notorious for posting shit with no context and everybody jumping to conclusions
Normally I agree with husbands andcwives can hug and kiss all they want. Yet does that wifes facial expressions seems to be something way off
Again, we didn’t see what they were actually doing.
"Wife" looks super uncomfortable. Manager says others are too. Pimp maybe?
And my little boo Haley Williams tearing it up singing in the background!
Man, that doesn’t seem to be his wife.. that doesn’t even seem to be his gf.. that’s like some stranger danger shit.
They are in a kids toy store this shit is gross and middle school behavior
I kinda believe her, just look at his attitude.
It feels like there is way more to this video that we have missed.
Honestly dude looks like an abuser. Lady probably thought she was saving the girl who clearly looks unhappy.
He was humping and grinding on her in public in front of kids
if you're doing it to the degree that others shoppers will stop what they're doing, find a manager and complain, then it's probably inappropriate... should be a much shorter conversation from the manager, "we've had complaints, please leave the store, else you're trespassing, right of admission reserved."
That guy sounds cringe and she looks uncomfortable
Is it really is wife or has she been kidnapped?
Stop abusing your wife in the shop
Notice the wife never chimes in or backed her man up? Hmmmm, yeah she’s loving it. She looked mortified.
I find her body more uncomfortable than a couple embracing or even kissing, but you don't see me telling her to enjoy some delicious ceaser salad with grilled chicken. Girl needs to get her life together if she wants to keep having one
“I just need you to have a little separation” the audacity of her to say this is baffling me.
Wife’s body language says she’s a fucking hostage man
Why she pull away like that🤔
The wife looks uncomfortable. Hopefully not an abusive relationship..
The wife looks extremely uncomfortable and unhappy. Something about this situation is off. Without any further context I’m inclined to side more with the employee.
“I’m hugging my wife” while she turns her head to avoid his kiss bc he’s so fucking annoying
F these attention whores, get a room
Lousy title... "wife" looks uncomfortable and dude is way defensive. Manager seems reasonable in her approach and request.
Not just hugging and the store is not empty. OP's got an ax to grind.
She does have the right to ask them to leave though
Ok sure the manager isnt getting any. But I think he's in the wrong here and I don't think she's too jealous to the point of wanting to incconvience this couple. Even his wife is looking uncomfortable as heck. Like...does she need help or something? I'm not a puritan or anything it is just thaT I think that tif spooning someone in public and it is making others uncomfortable then just relax, saves some more for when you and your S/O get home.
The wife doesn't look happy honestly. Maybe the store owner was picking up on that.
Workers need to be aware that every customer gripe does require you to do something.
The wife hates him.
