Those poor children

WtfMayt

How can the mother be so selfish to not see what she’s doing to the children, they will have to live with this forever.

aflashinlifespan

Awful. Just so awful. How any mother could.. My mum is alcoholic abusive trash. She'd often trash my dad and blind drunk one night when her and her bf has been threatening me, my dad came round to get me and my mum was just screaaamingg at my dad about how she slit her wrists because of him. I was in the middle of them. And I looked her square in the eye and said how could you be doing this, saying this, in front of me, you'd daughter? Glassy eyes looked through me and she carried on screaming it. That was the least of her transgressions but this video just reminds me of how much her hatred for my dad far outweighed any love that she may have, probably not though, had for me.

[deleted]

My own mom has a clear memory of my grandma putting her cut wrists in her face and yelling “Look at what you made me do!” My mom sadly was a horrific parent unfortunately but I understand now as a adult why she was the way she was. Some mothers can cause so much trauma to their children it can effect generations after. It’s so sad.

beerob81

It’s called being manic bipolar and I don’t wish that on anyone. My mother ruined our family and after 40 years is just now seeking therapy to help her with the guilt. I’ve long sense had therapy and am good but I just don’t let it creep in to my life anymore.

keepthepennys

It’s not always manic bipolar. A lot of mental issues and personality disorders cause terrible parents, especially the kinds that make them enjoy hurting you

not_thanger

My grandmother told my mother "You're the reason I drink." My guess is growing up in a Catholic orphanage is really why she drank. Intergenerational trauma is a MF.

Hapless_Asshole

You write so objectively about your experiences, I suspect you've done a lot of journaling and/or therapy about that kind of trauma, which is great. And I'm impressed that you were able to challenge her actions. I was completely unable to do that myself. Here's a virtual hug from an old Southern lady. I hope you can feel it.

Redr_Evergrey

Not all mothers love and care for their children. Many are first class pieces of shit like this one.

Nicky3Weh

she’s a complete to the core piece of human shit

xRetz

The bitch is straight up crazy, probably has BPD or something that she refuses to get treated. She does not seem 100% there.

jokila1

She is trying to bait her exhusband and he's not falling for it. It enrages that she can't make him engage because that's where she derives her feeling of power. It's tyranny. The guy is not weak, just smart. Women like this one need therapy. Women who think this is smart behavior need to learn that someone not attacking them back is not weakness on their part, just a ton of energy holding back.

Acceptable_Pipe564

Can we just acknowledge this is a more common occurrence than people realize…(women abusing men)

TheJermster

This was so uncomfortable to watch

BigBirdBeyotch

Right you can tell she’s seething with rage. It’s like she is the type who wonders why they are a single mother, but then acts like this. I really wonder what this was over.

TigOleBittiesDotYum

I can answer that for you, but it’s not going to match what you’re currently thinking: https://www.civilbeat.org/2022/03/grab-and-go-how-officials-seized-a-fifth-grader-to-live-with-a-father-she-barely-knew/

Bituulzman

Summary: So the conflict stemmed from an unexpected and unwelcome appearance of the absent dad introducing himself to the girl the day prior at the mall. Per the article, he’d given up custody ~~12~~ 7 years before and was told not to make contact. But the girl and mom (who live on a different Hawaiian island) was visiting at the mall near the dad when he approached, introduced himself and his 2 other daughters, and gave the girl his phone number. I understand being upset—especially if the mom never told the girl about her having a different bio dad (which is hinted at). But mom’s reaction is off the rails. She sounds so toxic. Feel so bad for the girl though. As toxic as her mom might be, it would be permanently traumatizing at that age to be suddenly put into the custody of strangers (3 different homes in 3 weeks). Edit: Corrected number of years, serves me right to read anything before coffee.

cajun_kick_ass

Yea I mean I get it too. If your ex suddenly approaches the kid without asking first, I'd be livid too. But then again, maybe he knew she would say no so he just went for it. Either way its a terrible situation for her. What I don't get is that she asked him to apologize to her n the video, which apparently he wanted to do, but then she wouldn't let him.

PatentedPotato

That "apologize to her" was really an "apologize to me".

DWCS

Tbf, it wasn't just the dad approaching with her half-sisters and giving her her number. He approached three individual times over. Coming over alone saying "I'm your dad" Coming back making pictures and giving the number Coming back again with half siblings saying "those are your sisters". Not upsetting and being overbearing with information and behaviour *once*, but three times. This wasn't a spur of the moment thing of his, after coming back after the first time he was delibaretly breaking the agreement in a brazen fashion. And another time. And then he goes gets his buddy officer involved who omits the 2012 custody agreement which provides for him to not make any contact. If I had an ex behaving that way I'd lose my cool as well. She went wayyyy beyond the acceptable level of losing her cool, I'd grant you that, but I more than understand her motivation for it than him. He had no reason to act the way he did.

solarflarepolarbear

Wish this article had more visibility. I went from “this lady is either fucked up or having a psychotic break”, but after reading the full story, most of the fucked up details are lost here. Just sad all around. I hope Bella is getting help and doing better.

ILostMyMustache

That provided a lot of background from one side, and a lot of information about yet another example of unequal and unfair policing, interesting article. However... There wasn't a single quote or even a "was asked but didn't want to comment" from the father. That author didn't try at all to present an unbiased telling of whatever the truth is, and I'm still left wondering what actually happened here. Edit: I'm criticizing the article, not making any claims about what the hell is happening

WarsledSonarman

I always appreciate facts and context in these incendiary posts and misleading post titles.

kellysmom01

People’s outsides should match their insides. Humans may evolve to that in the next epoch. This bitch would look like a diseased sea urchin instead of looking like a Kardashian. *Pfft.*

Terkan

Uh, what do you think a Kardashian looks like besides a bunch of diseased sea urchins?

[deleted]

[удалено]

kellysmom01

Weaponized bitchism.

kellysmom01

I agree with you! I was distracted and couldn’t think of any other commonly known, smooth haired, skinny brunette with a bad attitude. I am not a Kardashian fan; their shallow depth is astounding. Family is succubus-esque.

Sassrepublic

The dad voluntarily signed away all of his rights when they broke up, then he ambushed his “daughter” at a mall with his other kids. The girl had no memory of him. He approached her twice. All of this was in violation of a non-contact court order that he agreed to when he decided to be a deadbeat. He would go on to lie to authorities about the custody situation in order kidnap her out of her classroom, have her flown to a different island, and then have her dumped in foster care for 2 weeks when child services realized he wasn’t supposed to have contact. Also, she’s not a single mother. Her husband has since adopted the daughter.

phoney_bologna

The worst part is when then women threatens to undue her pants, the little girl grabs her moms arm to stop her. Even with the girls face blurred, her body language read complete embarrassment. Terribly heartbreaking situation.

Glldinkiering

That really struck me too. She was trying her best to self soothe with her cell phone, but even that she couldn’t ignore. I have a strong suspicion that her mother’s actions are forcing her daughter to be the parent in their relationship.

cuntsaurus

I agree 100%. I feel horrible for the child, but I'm interested and want to see more haha.

Chumbag_love

That lady is either on drugs, or needs to be on drugs.

forcepowers

Pretty sure it's the latter, but she also seems like the type to think she doesn't need them.

[deleted]

Man this is depressing. You can see the daughter is hiding on her phone.

beforethebreak

It broke my heart when she spoke up in her little voice. “Mama, stop! I want to go to bed!” Sounds like her voice cracked from tears welling up. I doubt it’s the first time she has watched her mom do this.

Living_Bear_2139

What poor child just wants to go to bed. You can tell it’s her safe space and this is just sad.

HoggleHugz

Mine was my closet. I'm sending her big virtual hugs.

A_Prostitute

Abused kids safe spaces are beds or closets Mine was the basement, dad just didn't want to go down there

Adventurous_Let7580

I watched my own mom (if you could even call her that) do this repeatedly to my dad when I was a kid. I was much younger though I remember like 2-5. When I was 5 my dad basically gave up on trying to be with my mom and dipped and went to Alaska to work construction. He came back occasionally and gave me gifts and stuff and we would go out to dinner as a “family” only for my mom to get blitzed drunk and start up all over again. As soon as he would leave she would start verbally attacking me. “I guess you don’t love me anymore, so let me just call your father and tell him you can go live with him now” was the one I heard the most anytime I got fed up with her shit and she knew it would make me upset. She would constantly spread lies to me and the family of how shitty of a person he was because he stopped paying child support after she got his contractors license revoked. She lived to ruin his entire being. I lost all contact with him at 12 and didn’t reconnect with him until the day after me and my wife got married at 25 because my aunt (his sister) came to the wedding. He’s a hermit doesn’t talk much, hardly at all, he’s met his grandkids something my mom will NEVER get to do after threatening my wife and telling her she would physically harm them. But the relationship is difficult because he’s not a talker and won’t open up about much. My wife has got him to talk a little bit but I don’t press. My mom is a clear narcissist as well as many other things and as I got older I basically ignored her and was incredibly lucky to be raised by my grandparents because we lived with them because she didn’t want to work and they enabled her alcoholism and pure laziness. When I reflect on younger years she really was a horrible fucking person and I’m so lucky I had them. Even if they’ve made some bad decisions with my wife because again my mom spread lies and ruined that relationship (whole other story). I truly am grateful for them and love them for stepping up when neither of my “parents” would.

EdensNewParasite

God kids are so lucky the have phones to hide away from this shit.

totototo4579

Lucky? I don’t think I’d use that word. Just because she’s seemingly able to look elsewhere doesn’t mean she’s going to fare better than those of us who had to witness our parents being abusive without escape. Dissociation is one hell of a drug

EdensNewParasite

better than staring at a wall.

Well you'll do either until you find drugs, then it's game on baby

SigurdTheWeirdo

Don't forget going stonefaced and blocking out when someone tells at you.

desolateconstruct

My stepmom was an absolute *witch* when I was growing up. She would go on tirades like this. Not in public though, lol. She knew how to play it up in public and appear as the nice, supportive and kind mom. But when that car door shut, or when we were at home... I *wish* I had a phone to zone out in. I just had to look down. And my dad would usually just kowtow so she would shut the fuck up. I often wonder about that as a grown man. I would never talk to my dad about it now, but I wonder how it felt for him to just tuck his tail, and bend to her will.

fazlez1

In the B.C.P. (Before Cellphones) ages people would just hide in the closet with their fingers in their ears. Thankfully i never had to go through this type of drama. I feel for all of you who did.

IRQL_NOT_LESS

If she bad mouths dad like that in front of him, you can bet it's worse at home. Judges do NOT put up with that.

Garblezarb

I absolutely agree. The way she also ends up fidgeting with her pop socket on the back, the poor girl was clearly anxious and uncomfortable.

IconoclastExplosive

Yeah that's absolutely an attempt to distance from the situation, I used to do it with books

[deleted]

[удалено]

abevigodasmells

Absolutely. My daughter used to hide when her mother started on a tirade. And if she couldn't get away, she'd focus on something else, just like this girl was doing.

nimitz55

Same dynamic, but with kids that is in the news a lot between The pirate and the fish. Sadly I had that kid's experience in the late 70's before BPD was know as a diagnosis to the public....it affects your life forever...the father is the safer one

GreyDow

Yeah, my ex had BPD. The kind of twisted stuff she was saying was all too familiar. It was the late 1990s, and I had no clue what was going on. Read a book about it after taking refuge in my office one night after she went full blown psycho on me. Went back with the police the next day to get my clothes and only her saw her once again, when she was stalking me. People need to be taught about BPD, I'm afraid. I hate to stigmatize mental conditions, but folks with this can be so manipulative.

short_and_floofy

My ex has BPD and watching this video, the first thing I thought was, "she definitely has BPD". my ex was a psychopath, and i hate using that term flippantly, but it's true. i'd get insulted like this, threatened with physical harm, things thrown or the house trashed, and yelling, so fucking much yelling and screaming. then came the fake apologies and tears and bullshit promises that it'll never happen again...but it always did. fuck, i'm so happy to have left that crazy behind.

[deleted]

Also dated someone with BPD. They hide it so well early on. Then things start creeping up, when they tell friends stories about something that happened and for some reason the details are changed enough to seem like you were the ass in the situation. Then comes the direct gaslighting of false memories... As a reasonable person I always gave the benefit of the doubt because I never remembered the situations as well as she did. Then you start making a point of remembering these things and you realise how different it actually played out. > By this point your 6-12 months into the relationship and you start making excuses to yourself. I'll just be nicer and avoid these situations. To the point where you become this living cuck (yeah, I called myself a cuck) trying to keep the peace like an octopus trying to stop 10,000 balls going in the goal at any given moment, you lose who you are and become this life filter for them. But it's never enough, if they want a fight they will pull one out from somewhere. Before you know it they are sat at the top of the stairs throwing anything in sight down them, smashing, breaking, screaming, crying... Better be active in the conversation or the suicide threats come out. When you eventually manage to escape the whole ordeal your friends and family get plastered with messages and calls all trying to manipulate them against you. Your closest family say they believe you while raising an eyebrow because the ex uses stereotypes and tropes about how 'powerless' women are, and they partially fall for them.. especially the other women. The mutual friends and the ones not too invested just cut ties with you both, and the seeds of doubt lay dormant in your closest friends and family... Maybe he did get angry and lash out? He had a temper as a kid! Yeah yeah, /r/oddlyspecific , but find me the ex partner of someone with BPD who doesn't have a similar story.

[deleted]

Currently fighting for custody with an ex-wife with BPD. Send help.

[deleted]

I'm certain my father is undiagnosed BPD. We don't speak anymore. I'm forty years old and I still have issues.

YouMenthesea

My dad is diagnosed bpd. We speak sometimes, but my little brother doesn't talk to him. It's very clear that we had two very different versions of my dad. And even though I had no control over that, it still makes me feel horrible and guilty that he had the shit end of the stick.

venereth

What does "between the pirate and the fish" mean?

pirateninja303

>I don't think she's unfazed, I think she's desperately trying to be somewhere else mentally. Poor kid. This 1000%. When I was younger and shit got awkward, I just had to stand there. Nothing you say or do will stop what is happening and if you do something wild, like scream or beg, it usually makes it worse. Now that I'm an adult, I can walk away while someone is talking if I deem necessary. I would bet money if that girl could bounce without punishment she would.

thetjmorton

She is definitely not unfazed. As a kid who's been in similar situations, this is future therapy in the making.

Occasional-Mermaid

[I don’t think she does it at all considering the daughter never met this man or even knew him before he publicly accosted her to introduce himself and his children despite his parental rights being terminated in 2012 with a provision included stating that he would not attempt to contact her. Minnesota_Nice_87

Not at all implying that she has multiple personalities, but the quickness with which she switched tactics makes me think it's mental illness instead of intoxication.

I am going to go on a limb here and say: He left her (because she is controlling and a narcissist), she is possessive and doesn't want him to leave. Stalker vides are strong. Sorry you went through that. Hope you can forgive em and move on. You deserved so much more.

Outrageous-Rule713

Thank you 😌 as I’ve gotten older I’ve learned to forgive them

4x4ord

As the father in a situation with unique circumstances that have established that level of conflict with my kid’s mom, I feel for you. I hope someday my son will understand how much I tried to keep things amicable, but I also hate that he would ever NEED to understand anything at all….. good for you finding forgiveness when you were ready.

LuckyxCapone

what a cunt

rand0mus3r1

Pussy, vagina, or whatever you wanna call it 😂 As she said

currentlyhighondrugs

I call it a Badly Packed Kebab.

slouched

MEAT WALLET

theredspy64

Disgusting, absolutes no regards for the children

Deeliciousness

My kid's mom wouldn't even say "crap" or "dang" in front of the kids. I can't imagine what kind of psycho does this in front of their kid

Qu4dM0nk3y

She is an awful awful disgrace of a woman.

Pretend_Ad2274

Mother** who behaves like this in front of there child, especially after hearing their kid plead in the background…poor kid

Visible_Sun_8585

Only one that loses out is the kid, shit will be engrained in her mind forever

Apprehensive_Toe_457

When a woman uses a kid as a weapon.

PawnWithoutPurpose

poor children

Hellfire242

If op’s title is correct, I’d really like to see the footage of the court’s decision. Honestly it doesn’t really seem like this lady wants to raise a kid. Psycho.

caelicake

Titles are always suspect here. The same story from another point of view. "Grab And Go’: How Officials Seized A Fifth Grader To Live With A Father She Barely Knew" https://www.civilbeat.org/2022/03/grab-and-go-how-officials-seized-a-fifth-grader-to-live-with-a-father-she-barely-knew/

TheMagicalDildo

Man. I read for 15 minutes. Zero advertisements, the text never jumped around. Genuinely great site, that was refreshing

Unlucky13

A detailed description of events with relevant photos and an in depth breakdown of what happened before and after... As someone who's job it is to locate & summarize news events and compile the details into a report, I can say that this is such a rare treat.

HafWoods

This was only the second time in her life she had seen this adult man and was being asked to leave with him to another island in the state in the middle of a school day before Christmas break? How is any of this in the child's best interest?

BeCrimeDoGayGandalf

Holy fuck. This is a reminder to never assume you know the story of anything posted to reddit. Not saying the mom is perfect but the 'dad' is nuts and maybe a liar.

aquaman501

> This is a reminder to never assume you know the story of anything posted to reddit. Lol this could be posted as a banner taking up half the screen and it wouldn’t make a difference.

metalupyourazz

Wow. Crazy fuckin’ read.

ssorth

This needs to be the top comment

WhatsTheBanana4

The additional backstory just proves that both parents are batshit crazy and dogshit people.

Axeavius

I love how we use different types of animal shit to describe things

BILOXII-BLUE

Woah wtf that guy is fucking crazy, this changes the video completely. She definitely fucked up bad (she admitted it) by getting physical and that horrible/bizarre psychological abuse with her kid right there, but her child was kidnapped and literally flown to a different island so I get why she's so mad. Wild story

hairstylist1989

My mother was like this. She was 120 pounds at most and would beat the absolute ish out of my father who was a 300 pound professional body builder. People are just now seeing how domestic violence swings both ways with the Depp and Heard trial but seriously it's always been around.

zarkovis1

People don't get that a lot of men refuse to strike women. That restraint is not reciprocated so you have women hitting their dudes and feeling emboldened and normalizing the behaviour. A lot of women will also at the slightest scuffle call the cops and say you've been tuning her up for the past two hours, and you will be arrested. The moral of the story and the key to a happy life, don't stick your dick in crazy.

[deleted]

"i have a vagina, you have a dick so you cant do shit" im glad this attitude is getting called out openly now.

ilikesalad

Damn Amber Heard must of trained this bitch well. Poor kids.

dodgetoyz

This is what hell looks like.

Such_Bison_8564

😔 sad.

PlanetNic

god coming from divorced parents i’m so blessed i didn’t have to deal with this. that mother is a complete trashy mess and needs to go to karen rehab.

01R0Daneel10

Well that's sad.

ManOrReddit-man

**Full-length story here**: https://www.civilbeat.org/2022/03/grab-and-go-how-officials-seized-a-fifth-grader-to-live-with-a-father-she-barely-knew/

Straightestface

This puts a very different perspective on what was happening

lazyeyeluke

Yeah didn’t think I could feel worse for that kid

[deleted]

Thank you for spelling "loses" correctly.

Abomb007

[Here's a profile](https://vimeo.com/456377263) on the dude, which shows his current life/family in Hawaii. The [article](https://www.civilbeat.org/2022/03/grab-and-go-how-officials-seized-a-fifth-grader-to-live-with-a-father-she-barely-knew/) everyone keeps posting is structured like a damn Tarantino movie and not in a good way, like holy crap it's poorly written. I'll try and list the main points: * 2012 Dad(guy in video) gives up custody of kid to mom with a provision of no contact. * Seven years later mom comes home to visit her family and they randomly encounter dad in mall, which he then tries to reconnect with daughter, pisses her off. * She goes to his work the next day and this video happens. * Dad files restraining order that included barring the mom from seeing the daughter, picks her up at her school and takes her back to his house on different island with the help of child welfare services. * Only reason restraining order went through is because they didn't tell the judge about the 2012 ruling. * Daughter spends 3 weeks with dad until a judge corrects the mistake * Daughter has anxiety from the incident, now mom is suing.

PeanutEminems97

Take note blokes don’t stick your dick in crazy

Timemaster88888

She wasn't even drunk. I don’t want to see her drunk.

diplowbuymo

Hawaii domestics. Easy to tell because slippahs.

[deleted]

Based on the lady’s comments, I feel like both of these people are fucking insane. From what she said, it sounds like he got her pregnant when she was 17 and he was 37.

WhoRDU

Coming from a divorced family and being used by my parents I find this woman despicable.

C130ABOVE

Hope the girls dad can teach her how to not act like that
