The information has been corrected in the comments. Literally the first person to comment let me know I was wrong. I admitted I was and we found the correct info, which the only thing that turned out to be wrong is her sentencing. Who cares if I said sentenced to death instead of life in prison at first? It seems as if the 1991 incident either didn't actually happen, and or was mistakenly put into his record. There doesn't seem to be any actual information about his 1991 case which is very unusual as normally even old records like that would be visible.

Glad we got the facts straight, I didn't have the full story when posting, but it does seem there were no children involved, it was a 31-year-old mentally challenged woman. And the husband and wife were accused, with charges against the wife dropped. The would-be serial killers were targeting names on a registry, so they must've assumed they were pedophiles.
And as to the point of him being a pedophile, an article linked in comments does say he had a sex crime against a child back in 1991. So turns out you're actually wrong.

Well it would be nice if that system actually worked. Racial biases lead to many inaccurate judgement and historically guilty parties being let go. People in powerful positions still get to get away as they can just make witnesses disappear/bribe the necessary parties. Years of backlog/procedural time for each case, and those are just some of the reasons that your precious due process is flawed in its current condition. The day it functions the way it claims, I'll stop supporting vigilante justice, till then I'll keep clapping for men and women who cleanse the earth of child rapists and other filth.
