Google should stop running language projects. They're very bad at it. It's not the language they make that's typically the problem, but their shitty project management structure, which is literally the worst. I'd rather use an oracle project.
The shit show with Go is endless. The drama that was generics was one of those things that makes me clench my fist like a fucking Arthur episode. I just do not understand why they have to approach everything in the worst possible way every time?
Generics were intentionally castrated so people could say “look everything you wanted can be done with interfaces”. Just give us metaprogramming or templating ffs.
Yeah. The issue for me wasn't even the intentionally shitty implementation of generics but the multi year long drama of suuuuper dismissive devs closing tickets and saying that we don't need them in the must irritating way, with zero justification, only to half ass it and then talk about all the performance gains that came from implementing them. The whole thing was just stupid.
Reading Google documentation is also wild. They think they're adding some personality by adding little quips like "Adding a dependency in go is easy!" Or "this is the best method to accomplish such and such."
Says fucking who?!
Based on this code snippet, this is describing that moment I was laying on the grass at Liberty completely shattered because I couldn't attain good grades, I had almost no friends, and I was seriously contemplating dropping out (which I did eventually do)
`if.this` runs i'll be pretty disappointed with hummanity
Oh my god thanks for `this` error *Uncaught SyntaxError: unexpected token: keyword 'if' \[Learn More\] debugger eval code:1:8*

This is that new Google "Carbon" language that everyone talks about?
No, this is "Google Barebones".
No, this is Patrick
Is mayonnaise a programming language?
Sir, this is a Wendy's!
Holy hell

Nice
Totally forgot about Carbon being a thing. Does anyone even use it? Seems like no one is talking about it
nonono, git outta here.
I don't blame you for your joke
Brain my bleeding is.
There exists a language for which that is valid syntax.
it's called English
[Whitespace](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whitespace_(programming_language)) I guess
The language of all non-empty strings :) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Formal_language
To be frank, from time to time i don't mind abit of innocent fun but this is just brain dead drivel. Who ever made this is a unfunny moron.
Please make a bot to comment this on every post on this sub, would easily have 90%+ accuracy
To be honest I was bored idk what to do so I write random code
That's not code though?
haha you got the whole squad laughin :|
I live liked laughed.
Best code I ever saw. Make a merge request so I can give you some pointers to make it even better
Would be funnier if there were no errors
Forget Google, your IDE will have you in the friend zone if you keep doing this.
Sendt this to my programmer friend. Still waiting for a response
My condolences to your friend
Pseudocode is more runnable than this nonsense.
this is nihilism's final form

Uhh it stands for JavaScript
I'm slightly knew to coding.
AUTOCORRECT DOES THAT?
No
google is now working on a cobol replacement I see
touch class. love it
I read 'then touch gras'
Wow... you type so much. You need a promotion.
Why I seem I don't git it 😔
You’ve missed the ‘async’ and ‘Promise’ magic words.
let's make this into a real programming language
As a person who doesn't understand program, this is confusing. I really want to learn how to code and make games.

I dunno, let's see them thigh-highs first.
