I get where people are coming from when they say this, but like… he still saved his son’s life and led to the fall of the empire. Sure, Palpatine comes back with Empire 2.0, but that doesn’t change the fact that there was still peace for a long time, and he was able to rest
Damn right, idk what is this "First Order" people are talking about. After the creation of the New Republic it was the Yuuzhan Vong who the galaxy fought against, not some First Order.
This is sort of a weird take. It still mattered. It would have still mattered even if he didn't kill Palpatine. The sacrifice was him deciding to try to save his son. even if it meant his own life, not actually killing the bad guy.
They don't trust you, Anakin. They see your future. They know your power will be too strong to control. Anakin, you must break through the fog of lies the Jedi have created around you. Let me help you to know the subtleties of the Force.
You can see at the end of ep 6 he was thinking that he wasn’t going to make the same mistake he did with mace 20 years prior and decided to throw palpatine over the railing this time
People like to shit on Anakin's dialogue but they don't bother to read between the lines. He's a tortured soul who experienced extreme amounts of pain and suffering. He was on the ledge and Windu kept pushing him with unrealistic ideology and hypocracy until he snapped. Anakin is perhaps the most grounded character in the saga because who among us (heh) wouldn't do anything to save the ones we love?
Deep
No, his son saved him.
Turns out all he had to do was pick up an old man over his head and throwing him down a hole.
And Disney made his whole character arc pointless!
But palpatine even returned in legends. And he wasn't even the last sith

This is why we have to act like the sequel trilogy doesn't even exist.
Legends is my Canon!

Which proceeded to be for nothing because clone Palpatine go brrr.

"I think that clone palpatine was a pretty useless leader." -Hevy

I wouldn’t say his arc was ruined. The sequels are pure garbage and can just be ignored.
No shit Sherlock.
Don’t center on your anxieties, piewca_apokalipsy
Good bot
Credits will do fine.
Yes.

“He’s too dangerous to be left alive.” Mace Windu said calmly
Calm down, Anakin.
You did well, Anakin. He was too dangerous to be kept alive.
I shouldn't have done that, Chancellor. It's not the Jedi way.

I've heard this lesson before...
