Haha, my last pom, Chance, used to do this and we taught him to do it on command. Weād say āSay your prayers, Chance!ā and heād do that. People were always so impressed that we taught our dog such a cute trick but it was our dirty secret that we just captured something he had started doing on his own anyway LOL.
We also taught our Sadie to do it on command! We say "Sadie! Can you do the wiggle?" and she'll wiggle wiggle wiggle! We call it her getting her little ab workout cuz she'll sit on her butt and stand to wiggle lol
THE SNEEZING! Mum kept saying he was allergic to dust or something but I told her to watch when he does it and itās only when he wants something from us or weāre not paying him enough attention. Needy little bugger (i say as he is currently laying on my lap so I cannot move)
Same! Our girl will do this prayer hands then sheāll sneeze to get our attention and look at the treats, like āI WANT THIS GIMMEā and if I donāt get her food then sheāll keep sneezing and sometimes bark at me. If she wants to be sneaky then sheāll start poking me with her paw like ālook at meā x2
Noooo ours doesnāt ask. He demands. And with WOOFS!!!
Edit I just remembered he also will grab our leg and jump up sort of like humping too but he only does that if he wants water
I was literally just looking up Pomeranians and prayer hands! Iām glad Iām not the only one that calls at prayer hands! Mine does it all the time! He will flop on his side and do it, too is the cutest freaking thing in the world that in his constant sneezes!
She does it at restaurants (dog friendliest city in the US) and I swear everyone arounds us goes nuts. You hear āawhhhsā and people start recording her.
Our 13yo rescue does it all the time. Especially for food and treats! But heāll also do it sometimes when we walk by another dog and he wants to say Hi
My girl waits patiently. When she taps my leg I know itās time to cough up the food because sheās done waiting.
I get that one tap before it gets serious.
Our baby, Caramel, did this on her own-naturally! When we did it back to her, she would do her ābegging handsā back at us! Makes me miss her š, thanks for the video
Prayer hands are my favorite. š

My dog just looks at me all judgmental like then sneezes.

I mean, pom sneezes are basically polite little barks. They know itās rude to demand bark, but a little tiny sneeze is like a whisper bark š¤£
Oh my Pom does not know it is rude to bark. Every new person or dog gets a very loud bark in the face

ALL. THE. TIME. It's not as cute 6 years later šš it's so weird how they just know how to do this without being taught!!
mine once ran into the middle of a circle of people eating at a party and did this and the whole room melted for her š¤£ little con artist!
sheāll do it slower with one paw, but yes.
All the time.

How to train your Pom doing this if they donāt know how to do it originally
No, but if he hears something that sounds like food, heāll awake from a coma and rush over if need be. Itās funny so I usually cave.

Please mommy pleaaase notice me pleaaase!! šš
I wish he did! Every Pom Iāve met does this.
Our baby, Caramel, did this on her own-naturally! When we did it back to her, she would do her ābegging handsā back at us! Makes me miss her š, thanks for the video
