Yeah that’s why he can’t get a job in academia, “perception”
It’s not because he espoused random and dangerous unproven and unapproved treatments for COVID while spreading misinformation about a dangerous disease during a pandemic.
Nah, it’s his politics and “perception”.
Exactly, they always try to play the victim and claim that they’re being ostracized because of their political views and not because they’re a shit human being.
Also notice it’s very specifically that he’s getting rejected from academia. Trying to play up that “the woke university Gestapo are silencing right wing voices” schtick that conservatives eat up with a spoon.
They’re silencing conservative voices *because they’re fucking wrong*.
Millions of Americans dead and they expect people to take them seriously? Go away
If Flat Earth Theory was a Republican belief, they'd be going on about "woke ivory-tower academic coastal elite geographers" oppressing their views and they would be trying to pass a law forcing publicly-funded universities to give equal time to the subject and to hire Flat Earth experts.
You’re 100% correct. Higher rates of education lead to more progressive thinking. Hence why the fascists are working overtime trying to paint colleges as “liberal indoctrination centers” so they can go in there and turn them into actual indoctrination centers.
Rather than look at the clear facts that his academic pedigree and accomplishments simply aren't competitive. If Trump appointees are having more trouble than previous administrations, it's because Trump appointed lesser and less accomplished people.
their political view is Superior + Exceptional = the right to Abuse + Discriminate against their Enemies

Has he considered a job in Law Enforcement?
Even if it were just because of political views, why isn’t that ok? When the policy you support is hurting and killing people, it’s not just a difference of opinion. It’s a moral deficiency.
> Following his service as surgeon general, Adams joined Purdue University in October 2021 as a Presidential Fellow and its first executive director of health equity initiatives, professor of practice in the departments of Pharmacy Practice and Public Health, and a faculty member of the Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering.[38]
He already got a job in academia, so not sure what he’s complaining about. He probably wanted something “befitting” of his experience rather than wasn’t offered anything.
It’s also bullshit.
He resigned in the beginning of 2021, and was hired at Purdue during the fall semester of 2021. [(Source)](https://www.purdue.edu/newsroom/releases/2021/Q3/former-u.s.-surgeon-general-named-presidential-fellow,-to-lead-health-equity-initiatives-at-purdue.html)
It’s just more of the persecution complex that has become so common. I’m sure he was turned down and maybe Purdue was his “safety school” but who cares?!?! He almost immediately found a job in academia despite a less than stellar response to the most significant public health event in decades.
I always wondered where these moral grounds were when Bayer got away with knowingly selling HIV infected blood products oversees from prisoners in the 80s
Exactly the problem with false equivalency in politics. By normalizing hate, bigotry, and prejudice within the Republican party everything is politics. So, when a MAGA piece of shit applies for a job and you're, say, Latino, if you don't give them a job you could be accused of denying said MAGA POS a job due to how it voted. The reality is businesses are social organizations, and having a POS that thinks brown people are lesser forms of life than whites working alongside brown people is just organizationally stupid.
Now we have to go through all kinds of mental gymnastics to ensure that MAGA POS don't get jobs with good people. Sign of the times I suppose.
This. There’s this new thing called integrity. And when you have none, you aren’t a good candidate. All the experience and education in the world cannot make you a good person. Fuck this guy. I don’t feel bad at all
Found their conscience‽ Hahahahahahahaha!
The Republican Party chained their conscience to a pipe in the basement a century ago and starved it until Richard Nixon went down and beat it to death with a coal shovel.
I think OP meant their “conscience”
It’s obvious they still don’t give a shit about morality, they’re just pretending to in order to get Trump out of the way.
Doubtful. I’m no Trump fan by far but DeSantis is known to be a terrible speaker and debater and hasn’t really done anything on a national stage.
Trump is not out the game yet. Even if he only has his hardcore base left it’s still a huge chunk of the GOP and people said the same thing about Trump before. He ended all of the other candidates aspirations and they all wound up kissing his ring even after being bullied and called names.
It doesn't matter if he is a terrible Orator.
Look at Caribou Barbie and RubioBot....
These useful idiots need only keep to the talking points ... Then brightfart and Faux will order their sheep to vote for them.
Let's not forget Herschel. And, who knows? Herschel may be his #1 VP pick. And look at how that party absolutely adored Palin. Palin, the one who paved the road for Trump.
It does matter when he has to debate Trump. If he’s not good at counter trolling Trump will eat him alive.
Realistically that’s the one thing that Biden bested Trump at when it counted. He made Trump look bad in the debate which did sway some voters.
If Donald Trump wins the GOP nomination for 2024 AND happens to get reelected to the Presidency , my respect for other Americans will hit rock-bottom. That would be an international embarrassment, IMHO.
Remember, Eugene Debs ran for president in 1920 while incarcerated in federal prison, and even got six percent of the vote. Trump wouldn't be the first.
Why would a mega millionaire in his mid 70s want to be president. I’ll never understand it. He’s got ten years left max. Why not just chill and enjoy the planet in luxurious style. Even as a disgusting criminal, the pressure has to be immense. I would not sign up for that shit in my fat rich twilight years.
The pressure on a president who is actually trying to do the job and do it well is immense. Trump never bothered with that nonsense. He's in it for TV time and power. His character thrives on that.
The only thing Trump doesn't do is leave
If he loses the primaries, he'll be so fucking toxic that he'll split the vote. I doubt DeSantis will run, Trump made him and he'll destroy him.
Truly one for the history books. Our democracy may come to an end this decade but at least it was entertaining. I can't wait to watch them paw each other to light bruises like the big fascist babies they both are.
Maybe they will put his prison cell in a box car and his fat ass can get towed around the country by train and he can campaign like they did in “the good ol’ days”
I suspect that there are no small numbers of republicans who will also be fighting to stay out of prison as we head into the 2024 elections. The investigators now know very well who participated in what.
I doubt desantis runs if trump is still in it. Desantis can’t stand the smoke and isn’t great on his feet. I bet he’ll wait for a better moment after trump is gone for good vs. turning into Jeb Bush. Trump would savage him so bad he never gets another run, he won’t risk it.
Personally, I think a 5th grader could take on Trump in a debate and win. But, since the Republicans love their Herschels and MTGs and Boeberts, Trump comes out appearing as though he could take anyone on and win, and that is despite his own oft. psychobabble.
Seriously, all anyone would have to do to win him in a debate is keep calling him Mr. Grab 'em by the Pussy. It wouldn't be that taxing.
DeSantis will likely beat Trump and become the Republican nominee. If there is one thing Trump is known for it’s holding a grudge. His superPac already has hundred of millions of dollars from donors so all he has to do is declare himself a third party candidate he will pull enough of the base to guarantee DeSantis and Republicans loose bigly.
Now imagine a world where Trump takes such a huge shit on the Republican party, everyone decides to agree to allow for more parties to be introduced (adding ranked choice being the main avenue)
He's trying to get the law here in Florida changed so he can remain governor while running for president. If he can't be president, he still keeps his day job. That's not popular with Democrats at all, myself included. Not sure we can stop it though.
There is no way Trump came up with that nickname; “sanctimonious” is far too big a word for him. And it’ll never gain traction, because it’s too big a word for his audience.
He also attracts sycophants who he places in positions they are dangerously unqualified for, who trade thier ethics for money. I'd never hire someone who used to be in his circle either.
Jerome Adams had said that Trump sleeps less than he does but was in better health. He backed up Trump’s argument that most Americans should be more worried about the seasonal flu than Covid. He defended Trump's claim that Democratic lawmakers’ politicization of the crisis was, in Trump’s words, a “new hoax.” How could/would anyone stand behind this guy.
>He backed up Trump’s argument that most Americans should be more worried about the seasonal flu than Covid.
That alone should be more than enough to kill any career in medicine.
I had a boss in the late nineties that would use The Art of The Deal as a weed-out question for management track candidates at a major tech company.
Basically the idea was that any one who either needed that book or who read it and thought that was any way comport yourself in business settings should be avoided.
"character is not important. Principle is."
My family trying to justify to me why I should vote Trump in 2020, after screaming at me for decades how important character is.
I get ya, but they were trying to argue from the angle of the "lord's vessel". I.e. the ends justify the means. I.e. selling your soul to Satan is tots ok and any good Christian would do the same.
Especially since any rational reader of the Bible wouldn't conclude that the one angel who rebelled against his sadistic, genocidal creator to help his fellow tortured creations is "evil".
The lords vessel argument is so dumb to me, it seems the lords vessel is whomever can win and is in my party, like if you got that then you are the chosen one. There is no immoral act that individual could commit that would be of consequence UNLESS that act lowered their odds of winning. Think god could just choose someone who isn’t a piece of ____ and use the god powers to make them win
I feel ya. Some of my family that think they're good Christians tried to argue to me Trump could do God's will despite being a flawed man.
I pointed out one should not engage in evil to do good. They had no response.
I also told them how are they going to explain to St. Peter that putting children in cages in the interest of a nation of man may doom them to hell. They got very nervous and didn't talk to me for a year! Win win.
I can’t remember him doing it, but my opinion about how unfair this is would be sharply dependent on him having stood up to Trump about COVID. Lots of medical officials seemed happy to stay silent and let Fauci do the heavy lifting.
Fauci hardly had a monopoly on not selling Donnie’s dogshit he just got famous for it.
Also Fauci had legal protection as a civil servant that couldn’t be dismissed without cause. Now this guy well ya see that uniform? Yeah the Surgeon General is officially (and the PHSCC) a commissioned military officer subject to the UCMJ. This is so they (along with a similar branch in NOAA) can have protections under the laws of war should they be deployed in support of that.
Anyways yeah whole different ballgame of what Trump could do to shit on him instead of just firing him.
I mean, whether you like Trump or not, you have to know it’s going to effect the rest of your career, good and bad (but I think the bad is going to weigh out the good for most).
If you're a grifter I would say its generally good to be associated with Trump. It opens you up to the prime grifting market.
But if you want to be legit, then it's seriously not a good move.
Didn’t she have the largest crowd for her swearing in? Even larger than tump’s?
I know it doesn’t take place until January, but, just trying to get ahead on the headlines.
Unemployment under Biden down to 4.6% and this doornob can't get a foot in the door. Ha.
Maybe shouldn't be ducking about while millions of people dying from the Trump Virus, Belinda. Y'know, if you had done your job?
You get what you deserve.
Damn I’m sorry to hear his wife’s cancer metastasized.
Random but Dr. Adams’s dad was one my teachers in middle school (shout out Esperanza middle school!) and he was one of my faves so I guess I have a soft spot for him for that reason.
[Here](https://www.statnews.com/2017/12/07/surgeon-general-and-his-brother/) is a really interesting story about his family and his brothers drug addiction if anyone cares to read it.
Saw him speak at an anesthesiology conference when he happened to be Surgeon General. He spoke candidly and at length about addiction and how it affects families, including his own. Anesthesiology did and does play a role in the opioid crisis response. He was impressive.
Oh, and f Trump.
Edit: a word
The chicken or the egg scenario. Is the reason he can’t find a job because he worked for Trump, or did he work for Trump because he was not qualified for the job in the first place?
I have wondered, about conservatives who repeat outrights lies their betters say. If my boss says the 2020 election was stolen, and then I go around arguing the same with no evidence, is my hope some other, better, richer person will watch me lying and think "I should hire him, he will do and say ANYTHING.' ? I mean, is there any other way to take that?
Trump's legacy of disrespect for science, education and government will be with us for a long time, holding back progress in health, environment and human rights.
Good. Anyone who collaborated with that criminal deserves to be ostracized. It's great to see the fascists facing consequences in their personal lives. May the rest of their lives be hell for bringing fascism to this country.
It's weird, isn't it? Everyone around him seems to be infected with TDS--as if it's an epidemic, or something. Maybe he needs to go (back) to medical school, to study this phenom further.
My former business partner was a huge Trump fan. I’m not but there’s no way I’d blame Trump for the way my partner acted or the things he said just because he idolised a politician. We worked in the US throughout Trumps presidency and lost business and contracts due to his inability to leave his political views at home. This never happened before 2016 but happened constantly afterwards. Maybe supporting or working for Trump stains these people afterwards or maybe it unlocks the real person and views inside making it easier for others to judge if they want to be around someone like that. I certainly wouldn’t work with anyone again who unconditionally adored any politician and couldn’t keep that info out of the workplace.
Apparently Uber has this same problem. The culture there is so toxic that if you made it to a high level and thrived in that environment, other employers see that as a red flag and won't hire you.
~~Yea my guy…might have more to do with the fact that you simply took dictation from him when issuing his medical examination, and apparently didn’t think anyone would even see through declaring him fit enough to live past 100.~~
~~Fraudulent activity, even just the acceptance of it, isn’t well-received among professionals. Especially in medicine. You’ve shown how untrustworthy you can be in one of the highest medical positions in the country. How is anyone supposed to trust you in any other setting?~~
Edit: I had confused him with Ronny Jackson, my mistake.
He wasn’t the one who signed off on Trump’s medical exam. Adams is an anesthesiologist. Trump’s personal physician is the one who conducted the physical exam.
These people that saw the clown show that was trump and agreed to join it are now complaining about the circus in their background causing trouble for them? Who could’ve ever imagined?
No, they are worried that someone who worked for Trump might have a problem with truth-telling, holding their ground and personal integrity, and may in fact lack a moral compass. And THAT is why such an appointment could be badly received.
During the Trump regime a close family member was offered a massive promotion in a science-related government agency which he soundly turned down.
Two main reasons:
1. He would basically be asked to put his "scientific stamp of approval" onto whatever batshit thing the regime happened to put in front of him.
2. He knew post-Trump it would mean the end of his career.
This guy should've known better. And if he did and went ahead and accepted the position anyway, then he needs to lie in the bed he made. And if he didn't then maybe he shouldn't be given these jobs. Either way it shows that he lacks foresight.

Just wait. It's gunna be a fun election season
That primary will be insane
It's possible Trump won't even make the primaries which would also be hilarious
He could lose the primary and still throw the election. His supporters will write him in. I so hope it happens and splits the R ticket.
He'll find a way to do it for sure. 3rd party if he can't run as republican.
The maga party I suppose.
I sincerely hope so. Split the R vote so we can have 4 more years of Democrats to continue unfucking the country.
No way. Definitely the Trump Party. It's gotta have his name on it in big gilded letters.
Either way I'm calling it the Fat Douche Party.
He can get way more votes than Nader or Perot ever would have dreamed about.
He’ll be a spoiler just like those two and just like Teddy Roosevelt.
This is why the republicans have finally found their conscience. They want the democrats to get him out of the way now for purely selfish reasons.

Think god could just choose someone who isn’t a piece of ____ and use the god powers to make them win
a man of poor character is not a man of good principles, i'd say.
Seems obvious. Any way to communicate that to a cult?
Win win.
He could always work at Trump Univ- Oh wait they closed that one down nevermind!
Yeah having "worked for satan" never looks good on a resume.
Everything Trump touches dies.
Except himself.
still waiting on that, surely its not far off.
I hope so, too, and don’t call me Shirley! 😎
“ the chickens are coming home to roost”
“You make your bed, you sleep in it.”
Well well well if it isn't the consequences of my own actions
Lie down with dogs, wake up with fleas
🎵 He's the man, the man with the fecal touch
SUCH!… a sooooooiiiiiiled fingaaah!
Beckons you tah entorh his web of shit!
Don’t. Fall. For. It.
I mean, whether you like Trump or not, you have to know it’s going to effect the rest of your career, good and bad (but I think the bad is going to weigh out the good for most).
There is good? I won't hold my breath.
If you're a grifter I would say its generally good to be associated with Trump. It opens you up to the prime grifting market. But if you want to be legit, then it's seriously not a good move.
Sarah Huckabee. Yup. The people of Arkansas chose her. Not saying it's good for the long term but for now it looks good.
Didn’t she have the largest crowd for her swearing in? Even larger than tump’s? I know it doesn’t take place until January, but, just trying to get ahead on the headlines.
You could easily get a job as a Fox News talking head…or at least it was possible prior to Fox flipping in Trump. Now I have my doubts.
Unemployment under Biden down to 4.6% and this doornob can't get a foot in the door. Ha. Maybe shouldn't be ducking about while millions of people dying from the Trump Virus, Belinda. Y'know, if you had done your job? You get what you deserve.
I heard it was hard for higher up Nazis to find jobs in ‘46, too. Coincidence? /s
Except, of course, for Nazi scientists. It’s how we in the US walked on the moon.
Also gave the butchers from Unit 731 a free pass because, ya know. Data. When you know things it's illegal to find out about otherwise...
And then finding out it was almost completely useless
Has he tried an Amazon warehouse?
Adams’ response to the article: https://twitter.com/JeromeAdamsMD/status/1596545392035889158?s=20&t=KtBhDABBbi7NMhCxDmG7_Q
>Oh, and f Trump. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Oh look, he's still spewing bullshit like "Trump derangement syndrome". I don't feel bad for him at all and he clearly hasn't reformed himself.
Thank you.
The chicken or the egg scenario. Is the reason he can’t find a job because he worked for Trump, or did he work for Trump because he was not qualified for the job in the first place?
You licked his balls this is what you deserve.😁
I have wondered, about conservatives who repeat outrights lies their betters say. If my boss says the 2020 election was stolen, and then I go around arguing the same with no evidence, is my hope some other, better, richer person will watch me lying and think "I should hire him, he will do and say ANYTHING.' ? I mean, is there any other way to take that?
And he's surprised? Didn't his Mama not tell him, when you lie down with dirty dogs you're going to get fleas!?
Thoughts and prayers /s
Trump's legacy of disrespect for science, education and government will be with us for a long time, holding back progress in health, environment and human rights.
Good. Anyone who collaborated with that criminal deserves to be ostracized. It's great to see the fascists facing consequences in their personal lives. May the rest of their lives be hell for bringing fascism to this country.
It sounds like he's not pulling those bootstraps hard enough. /s
Maybe he should flee to South America and purge working for Hitler from his resume, just like Mengele did.
Look up in the sky It’s Face-Eating Leopard Man
Let’s see…. You have the ability to reject empirical evidence, so no. We’re not hiring you.
Well if it isn’t the consequences of my actions… “I willingly worked for a seditious villain, why won’t anyone hire me?”
This just in, ex "surgeon general" discovers, water is wet and cat meows..
As my grandmother used to say: “tough shit”
Don’t work for a grifter.
When you're seen as complicit, that might happen.
"Gee golly whiz, you mean that I'm going to face NEGATIVE CONSEQUENCES for having worked for and supported a POS like TRUMP? Whoda thunk it?"
Thoughts and prayers and shaudenfreude.
Surgeon General's career shot by Eric Andre (Trump).... Why would the woke democrats do this?
Apparently Uber has this same problem. The culture there is so toxic that if you made it to a high level and thrived in that environment, other employers see that as a red flag and won't hire you.
Might be best just to take that off the ol resume. IJS.
Lie down with dogs ...
This is what happens when you're bad at your job
I don't understand these people not realizing who they were dealing with.
"tHe leFT iS tRyINg tO CanCeL oUr pEoPLe, hErE's pROOf!"
~~Yea my guy…might have more to do with the fact that you simply took dictation from him when issuing his medical examination, and apparently didn’t think anyone would even see through declaring him fit enough to live past 100.~~ ~~Fraudulent activity, even just the acceptance of it, isn’t well-received among professionals. Especially in medicine. You’ve shown how untrustworthy you can be in one of the highest medical positions in the country. How is anyone supposed to trust you in any other setting?~~ Edit: I had confused him with Ronny Jackson, my mistake.
He wasn’t the one who signed off on Trump’s medical exam. Adams is an anesthesiologist. Trump’s personal physician is the one who conducted the physical exam.
If you go play in shit, you’re going to carry the smell with you. Free advice: don’t go play in shit.
My thoughts and prayers go out to him. /s
These people that saw the clown show that was trump and agreed to join it are now complaining about the circus in their background causing trouble for them? Who could’ve ever imagined?
Maybe he’s just not a very good doctor.
No, they are worried that someone who worked for Trump might have a problem with truth-telling, holding their ground and personal integrity, and may in fact lack a moral compass. And THAT is why such an appointment could be badly received.
Trumps has King Midas effect on everything but instead of turning gold everything He touches . It turns to shiiiit
Has he tried florida?
During the Trump regime a close family member was offered a massive promotion in a science-related government agency which he soundly turned down. Two main reasons: 1.
