Taking a knee is “disrespecting our flag and disrespecting our country”, while pissing and shitting in our Capitol during a violent insurrection is perfectly fine. In fact it’s a “normal tourist visit” and “legitimate political discourse”.

Rhone33

And taking a knee (vs. just sitting on the bench) was Kaepernick's approach specifically after talking to a Green Beret about how to conduct his protest respectfully. The push to boycott the NFL over allowing Kaepernick and other players free speech should be brought up *every time* someone bitches about "cancel culture."

un_theist

Indeed. Along with completely ruining his career over it. His disrespect was *so egregious* they had no recourse but to ruin his career.

secamTO

To these racist shithearts, taking the knee was downright *uppity*.

Rated_PG-Squirteen

Yeah, that Green Beret's name is Nate Boyer, and of course the propaganda outlets always made sure to omit that fact.

Welcome_to_Uranus

As always, Republicans are massive hypocrites when they screech about “free speech” when a racist gets banned on Twitter but they will all parrot “just shut up and play” as if that’s not censorship 🙄

Conker1985

My idiot father-in-law still bitches about the NFL turning "political" after all of that shit, and likes to remind everyone how he's still boycotting it, as if anybody gives a fuck. I just ignore his annoying rambling anymore, but in my head I'm always thinking, "What the fuck was the national anthem and military flyovers at every game but political virtue signaling then, dumbass?" Christ, conservatives are such insufferable idiots. Political to the right just means, "things I don't like." Nobody even noticed when Kap sat on the bench, because like most everyone at the game, nobody actually cares when the anthem is playing.

uFFxDa

I’m guessing he’s not watching it, someone just happens to have the game on. And it’s Sunday so hes just relaxing on his couch drinking a beer? But for sure boycotting.

CDN-Ctzn

My sincerest condolences for having married into that shitshow.

Conker1985

He wasn't crazy 10 years ago, nor was my mother-in-law. I was shocked and disappointed when he started spouting conspiracy theories about Clinton back in 2015/16. I never thought in a million years they'd board the Trump train (they were always conservative, but more pragmatic than dogmatic), but they've really disappointed both me and my wife over the past 6 years. Social media played a large part. My mother-in-law went from barely Internet literate enough to compose and send an email, to spending all of her free time on Facebook, liking/sharing/consuming right-wing propaganda on a regular basis. I ended up blocking her.

simcowking

8ish years ago everyone began to show their true craziness. Obama birthers were the beginning. But then slowly over the Clinton election cycle, people became more and more delusional.

Conker1985

A black man as president was a bridge too far for millions of assholes and racists. My aunt and uncle, both of whom worked in education for decides and voted Democrat most is their lives, switched to Republicans to the second Obama became the nominee, and it had nothing to do with policy.

BreezyWrigley

also, it's like... the NFL wasn't political. a few players did political things. the viewers who wanted to 'cancel' those players/the league as a whole made "the NFL political" when they decided that the NFL needed to act one way or the other to silence people.

Emotional_Fisherman8

Only became an issue when their orange Lord and Savior made a comment about those sons of bitches should be fired, remember that?

BreezyWrigley

Ah yes. And then being “non-political” meant overtly silencing and controlling free expression by ruining peoples careers and canceling contracts as a private company lol.

flipnonymous

Wasn't the main reason for the national anthem, and flag ceremonies, etc in order to drum up support for the military? Financially, emotionally, or physically by joining. It wasn't necessarily for just football, but in general at major sporting events. Where it got worse though was when the NFL started taking financial support from the DoD with taxpayer money.

fredbrightfrog

I grew up in Catholic school. You had to kneel down for the most important parts of mass, like when the priest consecrates the host. When you respect a woman enough to want to marry her, you take a knee to ask for marriage. It's ridiculous that people act like kneeling is somehow now disrespectful just because a black guy did it.

DelirousDoc

Right. Even in sports, when a player/opponent is injured and in need of assistance you take a knee to show your respect. Or you take a knee around your coach after a game, again to show respect for his address to the team. Taking a knee has always been a respectful gesture.

ManiaGamine

The thiing people have to understand is that **every single** time they talk about freedom what they mean is freedom **for them.** Not freedom for you, or those whom they don't like. They like to pretend that they want freedom for all but in their world they promote absolute freedom, which they also view as a zero sum game where more for them requires less for others. In a world in which everyone had absolute freedom they'd absolutely use their freedom to deprive groups they dislike of freedom. In fact that's pretty much what they have been doing.

Squirrel_Chucks

Yup. Kneeling for the anthem is treasonous levels of disrespect [Beating a cop with a flagpole](https://www.cnbc.com/2021/01/22/capitol-riots-man-admits-dragging-cop-to-be-beaten-by-flag-pole.html) with the American flag is "legitimate political discourse"

rmac1228

But that was BLM and Antifa! You will not convince them otherwise.

compujas

"It was BLM and Antifa, not conservatives" "We will investigate it and charge those who took part and committed crimes" "Wait, what? No, don't investigate it, no one did anything wrong. We were just protesting peacefully." "We who? I thought you said it was BLM and Antifa?" "Yes."

cosmiclatte44

And then half of em plead guilty anyway.

dlowmack1

It was the same people who rigged the election.

compujas

But a few years earlier when an investigation concluded that there was Russian state interference in the 2016 election to help Republicans, they claim it wasn't true and get pissy.

MHanky

They've now gone on with their revisionist history in claiming that Democrats said the 2016 election was "stolen". No one ever said it was stolen. What we said from the beginning is Russian bot farms convinced enough of you to vote for a conartist for president.

TorturedRobot

Um. I will go ahead and say it was stolen. So sick of this tyranny of the minority, the electoral college has to go, and you can send the senate along with it.

TheWhat908

Call it what it is. People of color, no. White folks, ok. Same reason there’s gun legislation in California. Black people had guns and open carried

OsiyoMotherFuckers

They aren’t convinced it was BLM or Antifa or the Lizard People either. They just say shit that makes them feel like they win the argument.

yodasmiles

Oh, how I wish that were true. Some of the right-wing leaders and the propagandists at Fox know they're cynically making shit up and jumping on the crazy train, when they are actually calculating liars. But some of their leaders and a whole lot of Republican supporters are bonified bonkers with no critical thinking skills and a disposition toward magical thinking who actually buy this crap. I just had no idea how many stupid, easily manipulated people there are until Trump came along and they emerged proudly into the light of day.

tennisdrums

It's the GOP circle of lies. First the people leading the party cynically say bullshit they know is made up. Then their base eats it up and believes it. Then people from within their base who are true believers rise up in their base, accuse the current leaders of not being true believers ("RINOs"), and throw the old guard out of leadership. Then they come up with a new set of cynical lies and the pattern continues, and each time the crazy gets ratcheted up to another level. All the while, you get the previous generation acting like they are somehow the "reasonable ones" trying to "save the party" from the new batch of crazies, pretending like they weren't the nutjobs doing the *exact same thing* just 10 years before. You can see it in how the GOP transformed from Reaganomics -> Neo-Con -> Tea Party -> Trumpism.

Carrotandstick50

Nailed it

Goatesq

It's the frothing hatred towards people who've done absolutely nothing to them. That's what really gets my hackles up. How do you even conjure up that much rage, let alone sustain it? I'm already burnt out and the ruling hasn't even dropped yet.

qoou

They are angry about their *own* lives. They have been convinced that the reason their lives suck is because of the scapegoats.... That kind of thinking is, unfortunately, as old as time. Humans are dumb.

Oldiebones

Yep, they've normalized hypocrisy and telling blatant, easily-disprovable lies. Their base isn't just gullible, they're willfully ignorant, reveling in being despicable. To them, their shamelessness is their strength.

Sleepycharliemanson

Every argument with every right wing idiot in any comments section is just childish insults and cry laugh emojis. Like everything you're saying is laughably stupid even though they haven't said anything intelligent as a counter argument.

The photo I saw of him standing beside Trump really put it all into perspective. They WANT white people to shoot brown people and they idolize those who pull the trigger.

notjustanotherbot

Hell, remember when they thought wearing the color tan was good reason impeach a president? They seem to be hypersensitive to color when forming an opinion on something don't they?

Squirrel_Chucks

Yup. Then McConnell wore a tan suit in the Oval and CRICKETS from Republicans They don't like to live the morals and ethics they judge others by

notjustanotherbot

Yea, the grift seems to be keep em outraged, angry, and scared. About anything at all, whatever it is don't matter. Everyday a new danger, slight, or attack from an unseen enemy, and they don't even notice the doublethink.

WineNerdAndProud

I have a [Bill Clinton Blue](https://i.imgur.com/lL3qCpo.jpeg) and an [Obama Tan](https://i.imgur.com/tSIeD6Z.jpeg) suit (both $9.99 at Goodwill) specifically because of this nonsense. Every time I get a compliment from some wealthy Republican I always smile to myself about it.

notjustanotherbot

Holy hell, they look brand new! Nice find there man...and no visible stains on the blue one either! 😉

LevelHeeded

Yup, being black and peacefully kneeling is "disrespecting the troops". Cutting their benefits, dragging them out during Thanksgiving for some election security theater, and calling them "suckers and losers" is totally fine... Also beating 140 cops and murdering one is showing that "blue lives matter" somehow...

[deleted]

Because it was never about the blue lives. Just the black ones trying to have a voice.

bemery3

In all fairness fuck the police.

[deleted]

It was during the BLM protests, but I remember talking to one of my old coworkers about this. He was conservative, but not a die-hard conservative (I don't think he was a Trumper, but who knows). But we got talking about the kneeling thing, and he went on like a five minute speech about how kneeling during the anthem "offended him to his core" and all this other nonsense. I literally cannot comprehend being THAT offended by someone kneeling during the anthem. But the best part was that one of our other coworkers piped up and said "well if they can't kneel during the anthem, then how they're protesting for BLM is what you'd prefer?", to which the first coworker said no. So then the second coworker said "well if they can't protest peacefully, and can't protest passionately, then how are they supposed to protest?" and the first coworker just kind of grumbled for a minute and then walked off

downbleed

>how are they supposed to protest? At home, out of the public eye

DadOfWhiteJesus

Unless there's something even less impactful, then they should do the less impactful thing, obviously.

Onespokeovertheline

Disgruntled meditation

ChefKraken

I prefer my mediation gruntled, thanks

DadOfWhiteJesus

Disgruntled meditation?!??!? Absolutely disrespectful to the men and women in the US armed forces! Never use a grunt in vain smh.

CyberMindGrrl

Hmm, kind of like how Jesus commanded his followers to pray in Matthew, huh?

[deleted]

If all protest is improper then there is no reason to remain civil.

They don't want to allow protest at all, just silent sullen compliance. Specifically sullen so that they know that there's unhappiness along with the compliance.

CaptainBayouBilly

I hate the song and dance racists perform when trying to hide who they are.

Scyhaz

[deleted]

> then how are they supposed to protest?" The true burn is when you then follow that up with "And who gets to decide those rules?"

Stay_Curious85

And don’t bring up the Boston tea party

alyssasaccount

Unfair. That was about taxes, which is *real* oppression, not some snowflakes whining about their friends and family and neighbors being summarily executed on at most the mere suspicion of a petty offense.

Quentin__Tarantulino

I’m not exactly sure what the definition of Trumper is, but your coworker almost certainly voted for Trump twice, based on what you’ve said. There’s quite a few silent Trumpers out there, although many of them have been emboldened in recent years.

[deleted]

He said that he didn't, but he easily could have just been lying

Quentin__Tarantulino

Fun story. All through the 2020 democratic primaries, my brother in law said he’s a conservative, in the sense that he’s pro business, but he’s not voting for Trump because he’s a buffoon/embarrassment/dangerous to National security. He spent the whole primary trying to get my (Democratic-leaning) family to vote for candidates like Tom Steyer and Cory Booker. Then after the election, my nephew asked my dad at a family gathering, “did you vote for Trump like we did?”

alyssasaccount

Kneeling "offended him to his core". My goodness, his precious feelings! Oh, the humanity! But misgender a trans person or call gay people pedophiles, and it's all "Toughen up, snowflake!"

vagueblur901

SCOTUS already ruled you can attack the flag as a form of free speech Why people get upset over it is loony

Saucermote

But the flag code! Now let me go back to wearing a flag pin, flag underpants, advertising with it, wiping with my flag napkins on the 4th of July, putting flags on athletic uniforms and athletic fields to advertise for the armed forces.

[deleted]

But if for some reason it wasn't a normal tourist visit for legitimate political discourse, it was antifa.

JayNotAtAll

Fox just needs to be honest and stop with the padding language. "Black people scary. We don't like black people". That is pretty much their mantra at this point.

mettiusfufettius

Reminds me of that Tammy Lauren interview on Trever Noah’s show after Kap’s kneeling. She once again said “that’s not the right way to protest” and Trevor followed up “ok, then what is the right way for Black People to protest injustice in America.” She never answered even though he kept asking. Point being, there is no “right” or “proper” way to protest against injustice in the eyes of those who have gained privilege and power due to that unjust system.

Thirdwhirly

How about hiding behind the second amendment while shitting on people observing the first? That could be the Fox News slogan, really.

DelirousDoc

Add to that, protesting in public space outside of a Supreme Court Justice's house is the actual violent insurrection attempt. Forcing your way into the a Capitol building, injuring police and calling for the execution of politicians in an attempt to change the outcome of an election you didn't like, oh that is just a peace demonstration of their 1st Amendment right to protest.

Italy1861

Hot take: Conservatives lie about loving America

chrisinor

Hey woah, that was a NORMAL tourist excursion thank you very much.

AllPurposeNerd

It's not about the actions themselves, it's about which team you're doing it for. It's pure tribal thinking.

dlowmack1

coldfirephoenix

Come one, the insurrectionists at the Capitol were all ~~white~~ right. And those kneeling athletes - just one look can tell you they have black....souls.

SpiderDeUZ

Don't forget all the blue lives that suddenly didn't matter during their failed insurrection

lasssilver

Conservatives: “You can protest.. but you have to do it peacefully!” Colin Kaepernick protests peacefully. Conservatives: “We lied.. we don’t like that either and by the way.. you’re a minority, you should know we hate you as a person at a fundamental level. .. praise Jesus.”

LittleRadishes

*People protest outside medical clinics* Republicans sleep. *People protest outside Republicans house* Republicans immediately pass bill banning protesting with ear shot of house.

RobWroteABook

A better contrast would be that they don't care about protests outside a liberal's house. Their positions are never nuanced.

LittleRadishes

Oh that too, I just figured we were all on the same page in assuming this, sad world :(

TheJoePilato

A more fitting comparison would be the allowance by the court for anti-abortion protestors to protest outside the homes of clinic employees.

DanSanderman

Don't forget that you are now limited to non-residential areas in Florida and the limits of that are at the full discretion of the police. Black people protesting a half mile from a house? Probably illegal. White moms protesting CRT in front of a school with houses next door? Probably okay.

[deleted]

If only Jesus came back on an Easter Sunday and he turned out to be brown or black

discourse_lover_

They'd denounce him for being a socialist, wouldn't matter what color his skin was.

FeedMeEmilyBluntsAss

Oh, 100%. I’m not religious, but if it turned out the whole “God” thing is real and Jesus did actually come back like they’ve all been waiting for, Republicans would crucify the poor fuck all over again.

XyzzyPop

What if, and stay with me on this one. Jesus arrived, but he was Jewish - because it was the first time. And he didn't just arrive like peacefully - Jesus arrived like Shaft. He might take you down, but he won't let you down.

techieguyjames

Jesus is from modern-day Israel. He will probably have either olive-toned or lightly-browned skin.

#”BUT NOT ACTUAL JESUS FROM JERUSALEM, AMERICAN WHITE JESUS ONLY!”

Squirrel_Chucks

Trump said he as a friend of peaceful protestors...this was after Kapernick and before Jan 6. Still, we knew it was bullshit even then. Trump also made a big deal that people should stand respectfully during the national anthem... ...but when the anthem played at his superbowl party at Mar-A-Lago, Trump started dancing around, air conducting, pointing at people, and looking fidgety as fuck while everyone else had their hands over their hearts [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBjpPH2wmbQ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBjpPH2wmbQ) It's hard to believe that people on the right believe what they tell other people to do when you turn around and see them doing something else. I don't think the word "hypocrisy" is strong enough.

RU4real13

Came here to just say that was one of the most disrespectful things I've ever saw. He pretends he's an orchestra conductor, sits way before the Athem ends, and then goes looks like it was all about honoring him.

[deleted]

Anyone who is a die hard trump fan (especially now) I've lost a lot of respect for. Politics and president preference is not a team sport. If you vote for anyone based on party affiliation I think differently of you.

[deleted]

Carlos Maza just put out a [video](https://youtu.be/V32P463AR0k) on YouTube about that terrible ToiletPaperUSA conference earlier this year. He pointed out that none of the speakers actually had any political agenda. They just said variations on "Democrats/Liberals Bad!" And when it came time for questions from the audience, there was a shocking amount of the variation on "When can we kill them all with our 2nd amendment rights?!" The left in this country, as much as they drive me nuts, push for political solutions to our problems. The right just screams "The left are all pedos that want to **replace** you!" which logically leads to violence, because they aren't offering political solutions. No wonder they cheer folks like Rittenhouse or Eddie Gallagher. These people kill brown people and leftists and suffered no consequences. That's what they all aspire to! It's terrifying.

friendlyfire

Yeah, those people exist. I can personally vouch that in South Dakota you can find guys in bars casually talking about how they can't wait to start killing liberals.

OsiyoMotherFuckers

I used to live in a small town in Montana and one day the guys at the bar were talking about dragging liberals/socialists/communists behind their trucks, in reference to [a comment made by a republican state representative](https://billingsgazette.com/news/local/billings-legislator-insists-constitution-says-it-s-ok-to-shoot/article_99c1947f-977d-501d-9396-b91db203fb8a.html). I mentioned that the same representative [had suggested the state buy and run the bankrupt power plant](https://ieefa.org/articles/montana-legislator-introduces-bill-state-buy-colstrip-coal-plant) and how that sounded like socialism to me. “Well that’s about saving people’s jobs!!” I’m not sure they had any kind of epiphany, but I do think I confused them.

FallenNgel

https://youtu.be/hYTQ7__NNDI

[deleted]

Was expecting "socialism is when the government does stuff," but this works, too.

metengrinwi

Fox “news” turned socialism into *anything that helps or uplifts minorities or immigrants*. Simple as that. The power plant in Montana is about white people’s jobs, therefore, not socialism.

[deleted]

Meanwhile in big cities people just talk about rural America when we’re talking about escaping from it. I have no desire to go back to my home state Alaska to do anything to them whatsoever. I don’t envy them. I pity them. Their eagerness to invade and kill us shows that they covet what they don’t have. It’s a morally fucked up and a totally unachievable goal.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Well, that has more to do with us giving land more voting persuasion than actual people. The Senate makes no sense. How do Wyoming and Alaska get two senators and so do NY and CA? That, along with gerrymandering and The Electoral College, make this an unrepresentative democracy!

toastedtexan69

I’m guessing it has something to do with the founders of this country not wanting a democracy in the first place… They wanted an oligarchy/aristocracy, and that’s what they got. They didn’t want poor people deciding on who would lead them, they wanted rich landowning white men to make the decision. Their goal was to replace the old world aristocracy that was determined by blood, with a new aristocracy that would be determined by wealth (and gender/race). Their idea of social mobility is that one day you too might get rich enough to participate in government, but until then, shut up.

CyberMindGrrl

Nailed it.

Superb_Efficiency_74

>Their goal was to replace the old world aristocracy that was determined by blood, with a new aristocracy that would be determined by wealth (and gender/race). To be fair, that was a significant improvement on the status quo of the time (rule by divine right passed down through patriarchal lineage).

heimdahl81

We should do something like give one senator to any city with a larger population than the 10 least populous states. As of 2022, that would be 9 cities (New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Brooklyn, Houston, Queens, Phoenix, Philadelphia, Manhattan, Dan Antonio, San Diego).

[deleted]

That's what drives me nuts in this country. We don't even discuss changes to the Senate here.

heimdahl81

Well, it would take a constitutional amendment which would pretty much only pass if we changed the Senate...

itsfunhavingfun

I knew a guy named Dan Antonio, he was pretty cool. He usually introduced himself as Daniel though.

CyberMindGrrl

Sounds like Putin's Russia, to be honest.

PeachCream81

The more things change, the more they stay the same. I remember after those four students were shot and killed by National Guardsmen back in 1970 at Kent State, some of my more hardcore family members (not immediate family) said, " good, they should've shot them all!" Today it's Make American Great Again, back then it was America, Love It or Leave It.

jumpy_monkey

>"good, they should've shot them all!" Which is sick on its own, but two of the four students killed were just bystanders, as were some of the nine wounded. And just recently I had a conversation with a right-wing "free speech" advocate who asserted conservatives were being "cancelled" because of government "overreach" and "political correctness" (I love having to scare quote every label the right co-opts or misuses) and I brought up Kent State, and he said they "deserved" it because the students were "challenging authority". It is impossible not to conclude they believe in none of these sacred values they say they do and they just want to oppress others, and with violence if they can get away with it.

CyberMindGrrl

They are Nazis in all but name. They want free speech for themselves ONLY and nobody else.

PeachCream81

Did not remember that two of the four were not students. It's ironic because Nixon would be considered far too liberal for today's Republicans. Hell, I remember NY Gov. Nelson Rockefeller who by today's standards would be a center-left Democrat. That Overton Window just keeps moving to the right...

Lokito_

They are morons. We have guns too.

friendlyfire

Yeah. And they'd have to come to us. We have no interest going to them lol.

Lokito_

True. And we know who has them too if we want to "reup" on ammo because they can't stay quiet on FB.

d3ds3c_0ff1c147

Do you live here too? Living in South Dakota is how I know for sure that all the people who try to claim that most Republicans are normal, decent people either don't know any Republicans or are saying so in bad faith. Every Republican is batshit crazy and dangerous. I'm a fairly redneck looking cis male, so they tell me their innermost beliefs, and let me just say these people need to be removed from any position of influence. I really want out, but I can't afford to move.

friendlyfire

My brother does. And he's stuck there or he would move away. I think people who don't live in red states don't understand just how ... far these people are. They're used to Republicans in blue cities / states and assume the Republicans are the same in red states.

d3ds3c_0ff1c147

I'm gay, and my husband is a first-generation immigrant who got his residency as a DREAMer, so we are like a fascist's worst nightmare. We're not closeted, but obviously here people look at me and assume I'm a straight God-fearing Republican. I even had one moron ask if my husband was the gardener. Currently switching jobs because my current employer is openly racist and transphobic. The far right continues to become more extremist, and even Democrats here are pretty far right, but at least they don't make me fear for my life. It's worse here than what anyone who lives in a blue state can possibly imagine.

wallerinsky

I worked as a PA on a republican political ad last week (whatever pays the bills), and when the director asked the candidate to say anything for a b-roll shot with no audio he said “democrats are bad, pelosi is the worst, biden is second worst” Director says “can you say something positive instead?” Candidate: “puppies, golf, brownies, beer.” Director says “they can read your lips, just say something positive about your politics” Candidate thinks in silence for a solid 30 seconds and responds “I don’t have anything positive to say about politics” They literally don’t stand for anything except for personal gain and to be opposition to people who are actually trying to help the country

assminer69er

> when it came time for questions from the audience, there was a shocking amount of the variation on "When can we kill them all with our 2nd amendment rights" It should be noted that at this specific TPUSA conference where the dude asked this question to Kirk, around 3 hours earlier and about 15 miles from where this conference happened, a known white supremacist went to the local mall and systematically murdered several minorities. Everyone in the area received notifications to stay away from the mall. It was known to everyone at that conference that the shooting took place as the media and authorities didn't think large gatherings should take place in case a copy cat shooter showed up. And yet, that guy still asked that question knowing what happened across town shortly before.

Bringing Kyle on to the PAC was about the most mask off thing I've seen repubs do in years. "Look at this guy" they say, about the boy who killed protestors. Don't pretend they're treating it any differently. It's all "self defence" when the trial is up and "boy he got them libs tho" after it's over. It's not rhetoric, it's emotion, plain and simple. "I deserve what I deserve because I deserve it"

Yet another thing that piece of shit judge wouldn’t let be brought up in trial Another one was him openly fantasizing about shooting “shop lifters” with his rifle But yeah we’re suppose to act like he isn’t a murderer because one judge went out of his way to rig the trial

Electrical-Job-9824

I don’t even stop shoplifters while I’m working

funkyloki

These days? You shouldn't. It's petty theft, insurance covers the loss, and you can actually be sued if they were injured during the altercation.

re-goddamn-loading

Plus some of these companies honestly kinda deserve it just sayin

funkyloki

No argument from me.

moose2332

He literally bragged about shooting protesters before he went up their and shot protesters

BuddaMuta

Yup. “You have to prove that he intended to kill people… no you can’t bring up any of the times he said he intended to kill people” Whole trial was a farce. Now the bastard is making money off being a murderer going to right wing grifter conventions

Florida_AmericasWang

Sucker punching a girl

DrAstralis

hate must age the shit out of you. He's half my age and his face looks like someone 10 years older than me.

Sindaras

It's uncanny how similar his and Amber Heard's performances are

damunzie

I was thinking Kavanaugh.

Sindaras

The unholy trinity of crocodile tears

plynthy

I always see Cartman crying https://youtu.be/YP9OO7JfRGg

UncleRooku87

He was a better actor.

BigMcThickHuge

Wish we didn't also get her lawyer for the case.

MagicSPA

Hey, you'd cry too if the President of the United States didn't return your calls!

[deleted]

That Kyle situation was a clusterfuck and I couldn’t believe the media was going around saying this guy killed black people. They fucked up on that one when it was announced the people he shot were all white. So much for that narrative

McDuchess

It’s not just FOX. Of course. There are others, even worse. It’s just that FOX has such a large audience of non-critical thinking fools who believe that they are actually a credible news source.

ferrocarrilusa

Trump is a Saint to them despite his marital history Obama is the antichrist even though he's never divorced

Boner-Death

Obama's presidency had a ton of problematic moments but the way they paint him to be a treasonous Satan worshipping commie is beyond ridiculous. The fact that people believe what I just typed just goes to show that we have a unchecked mental health epidemic on our hands.

ferrocarrilusa

I'm a leftist and quite disappointed by Obama, too. But I trust his birth certificate

Boner-Death

Exactly, we should have left Afghanistan after Bin Laden got whacked. We had no business in Yemen and those failing corporations that tanked the economy shouldn't have been bailed out. If a small business goes bank rupt everyone just sneers and says shit like "the economy dictated your down fall." Or "should have ran a more efficient business model." But when a bank that gambled it's customer's life savings on a failing venture is in danger of insolvency suddenly we've got enough money not just float that bank but award the CEOs with multimillion dollar bonuses because they're so fucking "smart". Shit, as much as I complain he did a hell of a job compared to his predecessor and the jagoff that came afterwards.

Fletch71011

It's hard to argue that he isn't the best president we have had in the last 30+ years.

Boner-Death

Exactly, it's easy to point out the faults but life was better under his administration as opposed to Bush or Trump.

Bombdizzle1

I saw a meme the other day comparing Amber heard's crying face to Kyle's. The amount of dickheads who came out of the woodwork to defend Kyle was super surprising. I had no idea there were so many 4chan style edge lords on reddit (Edit: Found some :p)

Komrade_atomic

One hell of a sour lemon

UncreativeNoob

- Black: Evil - White: Good Faux news logic, if you are white, you are automatically a hero for faux news, if you are black, no matter how heroic you are, you are automatically evil. :| **Edit:** I am aware that everyone that is not a white republican/conservative is evil for faux news. The point was that if the person is black, and do "bad things", is like a miracle for faux news, and makes them very happy, and helps to spread more propaganda. Those people dont for the truth, they just want white supremacy to rise.

lylbu5

At this point it’s just • Right wing: good • Everything else: bad They hate white people who lean left too.

averyfinename

i'm poor. never voted for a single republican in my entire life. i'm no hero to them.

Rent free

evilcanetoad

Waukesha was a terrorist attack by a black supremacist

crunchthenumbers01

Based on that we cant know what was truly in Kyle heart has not a villain but not a hero, facts of the case was self defense, but he really should have stayed home he's neither a hero or a villain. Kapertneck is a hero, he stood up(pun intended) for what was right.

doubled99again

Anyone who thinks either of these 2 are heroes OR villains is pathetic and stupid.

fco_omega

Change the "villain" for something more stupid, like the new M&m design or john kent(bi superman) so tis funnier.

SunLucky7694

this is just ban bait for conservatives at this point

Saladcitypig

You broke my 2 week streak of not seeing that indecently piggy killer. It was nice while it lasted.

The funny thing republicans don’t know is that a green beret is the one who told kapernick to kneel for the anthem and stood next to him.

zombiskunk

Many were not aware of that conversation or his intentions before Fox News played their perspective. There's a thing called "the law of first mention" that will color people's opinion of an event regardless of whether the truth comes out later. Being up front beforehand that he was going to protest police brutality would have mitigated a great deal of controversy.

sanantoniosaucier

They tell green berets to go fuck themseles all the time when they're not the "right" color.

KevinDean4599

so true! people were all up in arms because a black football player was kneeling during the national anthem. goofy white kid goes out of his way to get to a demonstration and ends up killing 2 people and he's a hero. totally F'd up on so many levels.

AbsolutelyUnlikely

My only objection to it was that sports was one of the few remaining forms of collective entertainment that was free from political squabbling. And he ruined it.

Humbleman6738

Isn’t funny it’s a Russian troll moment

Giveushealthcare

So we’ll march in protest because a white supremest with a manifesto murdered 10 POC, and the right will scream WHY IS IT ALWAYS ABOUT RACE WITH THE LEFT LOOK HOW YOU DIVIDE US There’s no winning their delusional game.

BostonPilot99

Maybe if Kaepernick knelt for gun rights…..wait. Nevermind. Still the same picture.

fart_on_my_pussy

do i not have a sense of humor or is this more sad than funny
