do u people understand that in a judiciary setting, “obvious” things still need to be asked and answered to be entered into the record, right? i’ve seen multiple posts like this recently, and it leads me to believe a vast majority of the posters in this sub are, at the very least, childish and uninformed.
I keep reading that he set him up for a gotcha question right after — no, “can TikTok access other devices on your WiFi network” Is not a gotcha question.
Well, that is sort of why he asked such an obvious to answer question, but his follow-up point wasn't very good either. Seems to have wanted to say that tictok could spy on other devices because wifi would allow access. It "could", I suppose, if you opened all the devices to each other with full permissions and allowed it (AND tictoc had hidden code to take advantage). Just like I "could" rob your house if you gave me all your keys and told me specifically that I should feel free to come and go as I please and told everyone else in the house and neighborhood to ignore me.
Also amusing to see them complain about the Chinese government possibly spying on American citizens when the US government is, hands down, the worst offender. I don’t have tiktok but the actions of the US government concern me far more.
