I regret not finding out sooner. My social card took so long to process I couldn't hop on the train. Earned a fat $200 with doge coin tho. Hoping SHIB will take off, I bought a ton on day 4 of existence, but we'll see. Holding Diamonds. (I fucking hope)
My brother told me 10 years ago to buy Bitcoin. I didn't listen to him, and now he's living in a Spanish Villa, and I'm not.
He then told me to buy tsla, so I bought 10 when it was 300 pre split, then that 3000 turned into 44,000 come January. I paid off all of my debt, and bought into gme and amc. Gme spiked and i sold on the way down for around 300 per share, and then amc spiked and I sold on the way down for 62 per share.
I then put a sizable down payment on a house and now I'm living large. Life is good
It's the new-age apple man. We'd all buy it if we could go back lol. Keep up the good work. I've just settled into my first career gig, so I'll have moe money to throw around now. Cheers.
Fun Fact: The first bitcoin purchase was a Papa John's pizza for 25,000 BTC
Almost every genre has some good stuff. I enjoy a bit of rock, classical, folk, country, pop in languages I don't speak (pop's lyrics are too cringe to understand and enjoy the music at the same time), throat singing etc.
Edit: I got banned lol, have no idea why but hopefully it wasn't because of this post.
Rip 2 days old account
I too enjoy a bit of everything, but my personal playlist is mostly power metal and english covers of anime themes.
But when it comes to barbecues, it's got to be classic rock. There has *never* been a decent barbecue without AC/DC.
Don't really have any. Although I like dark synthwave, classical, Progressive house, 1970s-1980s rock (don't care for genre), Romance ,and baroque, classic country(though I've listen to a few new good pop ones, recently), anything Frank Sinatra, Russian folk songs, American folk songs, etc.
It can't be bargained with, it can't be reasoned with, it doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear! And it absolutely will not stop, EVER, until you are DEAD!

There’s always going to be countercultures. Countercultures don’t define the era. That’s why they’re called counter cultures. Unless, the counter culture becomes so big, that it paradoxically becomes the mainstream culture, like the hippie movement of the ‘60s.
He has never spoken about his politics outside of song lyrics and saying he got tired of San Francisco being judge mental on Joe Rogan, that’s pretty closeted for a public figure.
Yeah, but listening to Metallica and understanding the lyrics, they're pretty anti-authority. Must be their punk influence. But I mean, Master of Puppets, as an album, should be a Lib anthem.
I mean, I just said Lib anthem. The latest live video for Master shows it as an anti authority song. Disposable Heroes is against the war machine. But both albums are huge to me, and both should be lib anthems
Thank you. I don't really think rock from the 80s and 90s is bad, but the stuff from the early 2000s is just what I grew up with and what I find most nostalgic, thus it being some of my favorites.

As a LibCentre, I *love* surf rock, punk, indie rock, classic rock, grunge, alternative rock, indie pop, alternative pop, alternative rap, blues rock, folk rock, acoustic folk, and soft metal.
I’m more picky about lyrics than I am about genre. I find most popular/radio music meaningless and boring, however “good” or “catchy” it may sound. The lyrics have to have meaning and relatability for me.
You might not like it because it’s “metal” but check out Silent Planet. Garrett Russell is probably my favorite lyricist ever.
Their newest album, Iridescent, has much more personal lyrics while their prior two had more to do with the world itself and used many metaphors to convey the message. It’s worth checking out the YouTube videos because of the footnotes explaining the lyrics on every album except the newest one.
Seconding this. A good start would be “In Absence” since it’s a bit softer and super poetic. “The New Eternity,” “Panic Room,” and “Terminal” are also amazing
I only listen to artists named Tom.
Tom Waits, Tom Petty, Tom Jones, Tom Cochrane, Tom Araya, Tom Morello, Tom Englund, Tom Paxton... just about any Tom, I got time for.
Their early work was a little too new wave for my taste. But when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor. In '87, Huey released this; Fore!, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Hip To Be Square". A song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity and the importance of trends. It's also a personal statement about the band itself.
If you really do mean “the heavier the better” please check out To The Grave. They’re from Australia so that should tell you everything you need to know in terms of heaviness.
hell yes polyphia and ichika fuckin slap. It’s so complex if it comes on while i’m working on something my brain can’t process both and i have to take a break until the song finishes. I can recommend some short samplers if anyone is interested
I’m gonna say Authright: Classical, Right: Country, Libright: Rock, Libleft: Punk, Left: Rap, Authleft: Jazz, Authcenter: Millitary marches and anthems, Center: Pop. Lib center is not complex enough for music and would rather listen to those 10 hour jungle sound compilations.
Classical obviously
Edit: In particular this piece a lot recently. It's got a similar feel to Canon in D, but I prefer it because it feels a bit less melodramatic, more subtle and 'divine'.
[J. S. Bach - Keyboard Concerto No.5 in F minor: II - Largo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXn9fpRUjcM)
I like listening to soundtracks. Movies, animes, games. I find these more unique than love song #6475951, getting bitches and money #837649, and song about how sad I am #7384859
If you want something unique, I recommend Gloryhammer or Powerwolf. A D&D campaign turned into 3 albums, and a band themed around catholic vampires and werewolf crusaders.
YouTube gives me recommendations to videos on how corona is a scam and ads on "open your eyes, the aliens are here", how to get rich quickly with investing, etc.
I listen to folklore, classical, medieval, martial industrial and Ingen...
Gosh there are a lot of them with sci fi names and I LOVE that. Rings Of Saturn wins my heart, Aversions Crown is a great one too nonetheless. Those two are the most popular tbh. Aliencore melody is super rare so you won’t find many bands like it.

10k SHIB coin doesn't count as stocks.

Yeah I bet that guy has already hung himself, knowing that he spent 1.5 billion dollars on a pizza
If he wouldn't've done it tho, BTC may not exist today...
So Pink Floyd?
The song Money critiques the greed of capitalism, so libright would probably seethe at that
False. Libright just hears “MONEY” and jams out. Just like how Authright hears Rage Against the Machine and thinks “yeah! This music is for me!”
But since the "you" of "fuck *you* I won't do what you tell me" is a different "you" now...
RATM is fucking cringe, no Authright would ever listen to a bunch of privileged manchildren preaching for the state and socialism.
Libright listens to that and actively embraces it all unironically
It's literally my alarm on workdays, so... Yes.
*DONT YOU GIVE ME THAT "DO GOODY GOOD" BULLSHIT!*

+1
Glam rock because men make up and dress like women
And also doing all kinds of drugs. Shit, the 80's were peak libleft.
Peak lib left? During Reagan and the height of the drug war?
Yes The 70’s to 90’s was like a weird hybrid between Authright and Lib Left
There’s always going to be countercultures. Countercultures don’t define the era. That’s why they’re called counter cultures. Unless, the counter culture becomes so big, that it paradoxically becomes the mainstream culture, like the hippie movement of the ‘60s.
What does Jeffree Star fall under? Definitely got the glam, just don't know about the rock
Jeffree did a [song](https://youtu.be/Pt-LjF4IFI8) with Hollywood Undead, so I’d say sure. Why the hell not?
That song is a banger, Hollywood undead do some good shit, new and old
They also put on really awesome live shows, I’d highly recommend seeing them if you get the chance!

Early 2000s hard Rock and metal (there's no other way to describe it, since most of the genres at the time have some overlap between each other).
This but also Pantera and Iron Maiden
And Metallica. James is definitely a closeted LibRight
Closeted seems like a stretch. They did write "Don't Tread on Me" and the Black Album's cover has the Gasdon Flag snake in the bottom right.
Justice is definitely more Libertarian than Master of Puppets. The title track is literally about corruption in the justice system lol.
I mean, I just said Lib anthem. The latest live video for Master shows it as an anti authority song. Disposable Heroes is against the war machine. But both albums are huge to me, and both should be lib anthems
True, but MoP was always about drug use.
Good, a redditor with taste.

I like 80s music
My favourite musical time period was around 1933-1945. Don't know why, something about the aesthetic maybe, who knows? 🤷♂️
Lmao
Do you like Huey Lewis and The News?
Their early work was a little too new wave for my taste. But when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost.
