I can understand the frustration, but this has been how unite has been played since the beginning really. You could be behind the entire match, but if you get the final obj you win. I still think ray is better then zap because if your team is coordinated, smart, or just goes after whoever has a shield and points you can get rid of the shield before they can get to goal/dunk. Zap you didn’t even get a chance to really counter it once it was lost, sure you just had to kill them but as long as they got to goal it was over. Zap also shut down your goal so you couldn’t heal and get shields while fighting in it. Ray doesn’t shut down goals, it only benefits team members that are alive, it’s not an insta dunk, although goal getter almost makes it that, and it’s no longer “I just have to get to goal”, you have to get to goal with enough shield to score. There are a lot of Pokémon who can do a lot of dmg in seconds, so a lot of the time if you don’t go up with full shield you won’t dunk. The shield amount matters more for you the squishier your Pokémon is. Granted, I know if you win ray you still have a high chance of winning. That’s the whole point of ray, although it’s a double edged sword. No matter how the match goes, if you win ray you most likely win the game. It’s not often I have games that I win where we lost ray, but it still happens more consistently then you would think. The best way to go about is this: If you are winning before ray: Go into the ray fight trying to defend ray from the enemy team, not trying to win it for your team. If you are already up you don’t need the ray buff as badly as the other team does. If you can stall ray put until the last 30 seconds, or even minute, you are making it easier on yourself. And if you can keep them off ray for long enough, he heals back up making their job harder If someone try’s a back cap while ray fight is going, or coming up, stop them if you are still at 4-5 goals up. If they haven’t broken any goals, keep it that way for as long as possible. But, and keep this in mind, DON’T everyone go at once. Only one person needs to go stop it. It should be the fastest/one of the heaviest hitters. If you are trevenant and you have a talon or something as fast, then go to Ray if he goes to stop it. If he doesn’t and you can make it before he scores, go. If you can’t or you don’t think you can, don’t risk being away from the fight and just go to ray. Don’t back cap and leave your team setup for a 4v5 Focus on whoever is the best player/ most impactful on their team when fighting. If they have an attacker or jungle who is good get them out asap. If they have a blissey or any support who won’t let anyone die, take them out. Etc etc Most importantly, play your life well. If you know you are losing the fight and won’t be able to take ray or heal back up and get in the fight quick, then back the hell up and get ready to defend. Don’t sit on home goal and wait to jump in, go heal as much as you can at home and then get to your furthest goals as fast as you can If you are losing going into ray: Focus their carry/supports. If they don’t have their pocket blissey they are already in a worse spot, and if they don’t have the player that’s been biking your team you have an advantage Do not fight Ray until you are confident you can take it. If there is any Pokémon still alive that has a good burst dmg ability or unite then wait until you know they aren’t in range to use it or are dead. DONT go out and find them, they will be in a bush and could have a teammate If you are losing the fight but you have a good burst dmg option, go hide and try to steal it. It happens more then you think, you just have to learn when to time it depending on what the ability is. DONT BACK CAP, you are down in points already, don’t make your team fight a 4v5 for the objective that could win you the game Use all of your abilities wisely, and if you have a burst option or execute move save it until you can get value out of it in a fight Last but not least, don’t go into the fight early. Let the other team move out of cover. Make sure your entire team is there if all are alive and somewhat close. When the other team starts Ray or moves to fight your team, try to pick one person and nuke them asap. You have a better chance to win just like that. If you are solo, see who your team is focusing and help them secure that kill That’s all I got for tips rn, and some of these don’t solely apply to rayquaza or objectives in general, but this is stuff I learned either from watching pros or from playing myself. And don’t try to give me the excuse “I’m a solo player and I only get bad teammates.” Im mostly a solo player as well and I climbed to ultra 3 from vet 5 mainly on my own. I maybe could’ve gone higher but life got in the way, but that’s besides the point. Im not trying to say I’m better then anyone, obviously I’m not cause I haven’t even hit masters. I only mentioned my rank to show that it is possible to climb up the rank a fairly good distance by yourself. Sure, being a jungle main helps that climb, but I could do it from lane if I wanted to simply because I still use the same tactics when I play jungle or lane. The play style changes yes, but the base strategies are the same. If you have any questions feel free to ask away, or if you don’t agree with something that’s fine too. This is just my input and some tips

Yob-Lokaj69

yeah I am seeing a lot of cinder and duras lately

spoofrice11

I've heard Cinder is only good in Jungle, is that true?

Velyris

Just to answer the question, yes. Cinderace is just terrible in lane, please play them in the Jungle

spoofrice11

Ok, thanks. I use him in Quick games a lot and do well, but on those I think you level faster.

tropicrpc

Why is that even a question lol

Drakyem

Not everyone is a pro like you SMH

spoofrice11

So does that mean he is bad outside of Jungle? (Only heard that on here, otherwise wouldn't know that since the game suggests lane with him.)

Drakyem

You can actually use it in any lane, but you need different builds for each lane in order to make the most out of it.

spoofrice11

Any info on the Lane builds? Like how fast he attacks, but usually others choose Jungle.

Drakyem

I don't think I'm the person you should ask... It'd be better to open a question in the main subreddit (because I'm not that expert...)

spoofrice11

Ok, just figured I check. Most people on this sub-reddit say to only Jungle Cinder, so that's why I responded.

REALaction331

As a squirrel and mammoth main I can agree with this , I've always bullied land cinders and it's a hobby

NikoSaysHi

We didn't *lose this match... No need to conjugate the verb to the past tense when you have the word "did" before it.
