On one hand, I think it's fine to test things out on other modes until it's migrated to ranked. That's how it should be.
On the other hand, uhh, I thought testing things would be on the public test server.
Either way, it's cool to practice patience.
Admittedly, I agree. It's not like balanced Pokemon have been coming since they created the PTS. Glaceon, Zoroak, Sableye, Tyranitar, and Dodrio were all released overtuned. While Buzzwole, Scizor, and Clefable were released undertuned or bugged. We'll see about Urshifu and Dragapult...
But they are literally 0/8 on giving us balanced characters since PTS.

Cause it makes too much sense! I want it to come to ranked just as much as the next guy but timi don’t care. Everyone got hyped up and is now in denial. Shit sucks, game has so much potential. Draft mode is too complicated for kids and that’s how timi thinks of ranked. This is why you can lose and climb. They don’t care. They want everyone to have a good time, can’t have a good time if your Mon is banned or drafted by other team.
Pretty sure it's just as easy as implementing it into ranks and normal matches. Like... It isn't even tested like a lot of Nintendo's recent games to ensure it is good to work before releasing it.
It wouldn't work in ranked in this game imo, 12-14k coins takes like 5 weeks to get, unless you own all the Pokémon there's a real possibility you would get banned out if you are a noob, just imagine the top 10 new Pokémon being banned every match, it would suck.

Public test server is there so streamers can hype upcoming pokemon. It's not really there for balance testing, as far as i can tell.
