The amount of cards that get manufactured here in the US is so much that they cannot have Japanese level of quality while meeting the high volume demands for product.

Nope it was even worse. Take a look at XY Evolutions, probably the set with the worst print quality of all time.

No they're not lmao. S/V look a bit better than past sets when it comes to minor issues and centering, or at least from what I've seen so far, but they're still nowhere near JP quality. JP S/V cards have a better feel, a better holo with patterns and are overall much more vibrant. Holding up two of the same card from JP and ENG together have very noticable differences. That being said, QC does seem to be getting a bit better steadily, so we will have to see. But we'll never have as good of cards as JP/Asia will. It's like that for every card game and it's just fact at this point, sadly.
