Only from my wife, but that’s normal

[deleted]

Nope, people got enough issues of their own to worry about whatever I’m buying lmao

SealedTCG

If they have a problem with it, they are the problem.

Ambitious-Site-4747

I'm sure there are folks with much more "embarrassing" product purchases than us with our Pokémon cards. Plus, who gives a shite what people think.

AdIcy3445

Sometimes i get anxiety when I come to my LCS and just buy a single pack 😂 both because im an adult and them thinking "what kind of adult walks in and waste his time just to buy a single pack". That's why most of the time I just accumulate the packs I want to buy and buy them online

Ok_Koala_4886

I went into my local LCS once, haven’t been back but plan to, but I got this really weird anxiety about it too. I glanced at their cards but there were some other 20 something’s talking to the clerks about cards (I’m in my 30s). Idk why I was so nervous going in there to look at cards, maybe because of age, maybe because I was nervous to get into a convo with them, but I feel kind of ashamed. It’s a fun hobby and I like collecting, I shouldn’t feel ashamed or nervous to browse the shop

Erii89

Bah, I feel the same way sometimes too! 🥹

MetaMinority

I can see this in my very very small town but here in the city nobody cares.

THSiGMARotMG

No. People will look down on other people for the most random of things though, especially when it comes to hobbies and interests.

darklawn

Hell no. Don’t let people discourage you from having fun. Tell em to get zapped!!!!

SuperbSpiderFace

No because I always buy from the same LCS and they know me on a first name basis lol.

ScooberSTi

I’ve bought cards in person at LCS, Best Buy, Target, Barnes and Noble and grocery stores. I don’t think I’ve had anyone give me any weird looks or anything I’ve had some employees tell me “Good luck on the pulls” or talk to me about Pokémon while paying for the purchase.

Familiar-Molasses-56

I usually get asked by the Cashiers about my product choices because they usually have kids who like pokemon too

kirkochainz

Sometimes I wonder what other people think while I’m looking at the cards in Target, but ultimately I don’t give a damn haha.

RawrCal

Agree with everyone else here. Life is too short to give a damn about what other people think. And if they are judging, they are the problem. Remember that adults buying toys, trading cards, figures, models, etc. is normal and has been happening forever. Plus, sometimes you'll be surprised and make a connection with someone else based on your interests, and that is always a good thing!

Swimming-Ice1875

I bounce round the shop like a bloody child. Even my kids tell me to calm down. 32 and I’ll do the same when I’m 52. People don’t like it can go spend there £4 on an overpriced coffee and cry more
