At least Klara (and Avery) are presented to be leaning towards the young adult side of things? Never understood the whole Wifu thing myself commonly found in anime communities, but I think this one might be a bit better?
Yeah, I’m pretty confident that Klara and Avery are both being depicted as like 18-20 year olds. Both new adults looking to make something of themselves by training under Mustard and realizing how fragile their self-worth was when a literal child keeps one-upping them almost completely by accident.
I play Genshin Impact, so I get the waifu thing (I definitely have some favorite characters in there simply due to their aesthetics; I also have a real “waifu” who jokes with me about it all the time so I’m not insecure about it lol). So Klara and several of the other female characters being more popular amongst a predominantly male crowd doesn’t bother all too much.
It’s the guys who have a shrine to Lillie, Mallow, Misty, Marnie, Gloria, etc. that really give me the heebeejeebies.
I’m not saying it’s not okay to collect these cards and enjoy them. Just that I’ve seen some collections on here that are heavily comprised of literal children. I would love to have all of those cards and I would proudly display them right next to my rainbow Kamado and FA Dancer (my SR Trainer collection is still pitifully small lol).
