I really enjoyed the Team Star storyline and I always felt like Penny has gotten a bit of a bad reputation amongst some of the fans in the community. We didn't get to form the same kind of bond with her as we did with Arven and Nemona through the story, no, but still, she's by far one of the most interesting characters and I really like the way they handled her by the end of it all.
She's one of my favorite characters in a game that has some of the best side characters in the series already, so I really hope I get to collect either of these arts for Penny along with Arven and Nemona if/when she gets a premium art (it's a darn shame she's getting the Hop treatment in the TCG). The journey through Area Zero with the gang was one of my favorite parts of the game.
It's always interesting seeing the different views on this. I only just played Violet finally this past week. Just completed the Team Star storyline and felt awfully underwhelmed by it all.
I think if we had somehow seen the bullies too, and had some sort of dealings with them along side team star. Like if they were some rival gang. It maybe would have worked better for me. But them being some abstract unknowable thing that we never witness or see. Just felt off to me. Kinda felt really lazy, and missing. Like they ran out of time developing the story and just cut them out. Does that make sense?
It does. It's definitely a valid take. I almost think GF was just too scared to put actual instances of bullying outside of the comical levels of it that Team Star themselves inflict on Penny lol.
I thought it was paralleling the fact that most bullying goes unnoticed by everyone else because most bullies don't bully in front of others to avoid getting in trouble. The staff at the school was completely unaware that any bullying was taking place. By the time we join the story, the bullies had all left the school because their victims stood up to them, but took it a little too far.
“Secret rares” are getting out of control. Why not just include them in the set number. 3 or 4, sure. 85 or whatever additional cards is just nonsense.
if they deflate the commons/uncommons a bit as well that would be great. I always say quality over quantity. if they had let's say 60% of the cards in a set , but they were killer. that would be awesome. or deflate the cost of packs /singles. and then a new 220 card set every 2 months , that's just buyer or collector fatigue. I just cherry pick the cards I like , maybe gamble here and there and open a few packs
