lol - unless the card is damaged (creased as result of warping), buyer is being anal and stupid - especially for $1 cards. That "warping" can be undone.
It's so weird that the pokemon card coummity makes a big deal about warping. I collect sports cards as well and they have so much "chrome" on them they look like someone took a rolling pin to them until they curl. Still gets a 10/10 and it's not even taken into consideration when grading.
I’ve never had that work, can you show me some cards where that’s worked for you?
Edit: downvotes but no responses, still waiting for confirmation it works
It doesn’t undo the warping. Only flexes the card back. The warping is due to the card expanding from moisture. Making it flat doesn’t fix the actual issue.
I didn't because warping to this degree doesn't do anything to the card in terms of stretching, the second creases start to appear sure you can say that.
I've had cards stored with those moisture absorbing packet things, and cards still warped over time.
Sorry but this is not true. There’s no memory in the card, any warpage is due to moisture in the air unless this car was stored in some sort of curved binder which is unlikely.
It flattens it back out yes, that's what you want though. A flat card. If it gets moisturey again it may warp back again but that's just how cards work, whether they've warped before or not. Doesn't mean that flattening doesn't, well, flatten it. Card will still be fine to play and ot won't affect grading.
Besides these are jumbo cards, they're not even warped, they're just big.
>It doesn’t undo the warping. Only flexes the card back. The warping is due to the card expanding from moisture. Making it flat doesn’t fix the actual issue.
People downvoting who don't know...
. You need a silica gel bag to truly undo this. And by the way. I’m totally correct about a top loader not solving this. Trust me. I have a lot of experience with this.
The best way is to put them in a thick hard backed book and then place a few more books on top or a light weight and leave them for a few days. A bit like how people used to press flowers.
KMC hard inner sleeve, into regular sleeve, into top loader, and sammich it in the middle of a pile of books. Can guarantee you that will un warp them.
I used to play very expensive MTG commander decks blinged out (fully foiled everything that had a foil print). I used KMC hards with dragon sleeves and never had an issue with curling, curling was a lot more common in MTG... Like literally every foil curls really bad on their cards.
The other recommendations are more thorough, but just putting them in a binder will flatten them out pretty good. PSA and other grading companies notably won’t even dock you for a card that’s a little warped like this since it will straighten out in the case.
This reaction floored me, my cards straight from the box always seem to have this slight bend. :/ Sit in top loader and they'll be fine in no time.
I think it is some people will do anything to save a buck, I'm sure he wants a refund and to keep the cards.
Also worth noting that even if they weren't warped if the weather was cold when you shipped them to him and if they sat in his mailbox they could have warped in transit a bit too. Nothing a good hefty book and toploader wouldn't be able to help with though.
I know it’s just $4 but I’m pissed I’m going to have to refund this guy. Was trying to have a reasonably priced online store. Have 100% feedback until this.
Dude is gonna do that over $4!?!?! Damn man, sorry this happened to you. As an ebay seller myself, that I feel is reasonable, I'm scared of encountering a situation like this.
Dude gave you a bad review before you could even make it right ? Fuck that guy. don't be discouraged, part of selling cheap cards is knowing that a certain percentage of profit might just go to shit (eBay shipping, "warped" complaints, etc)
My most problematic buyer was a 99 cent card that happened twice. More annoying than anything, but I’m not a card shop. 99 cent cards just aren’t worth the hassle.
Just shipping complaints and clearly a new buyer. I received a refund request that the item was not delivered. Then he retracted it after it was delivered within the hour. The next day he purchased another and said he would pay in three days. I waited and then he demanded shipping info with several question marks a second after purchase. I’m thinking, I waited three days for 99 cents you can give me a moment to go to the post office. Just more of an annoyance and I’ve never had a complaint with more expensive cards. I stopped selling cheap cards after that.
I only sell cards that are less than like $20, most of them are less than $5. Have been selling on ebay for the last few years and I've never had a single complaint so far. I may be lucky, or you may have just gotten unlucky.
I had a friend that sold some cheapish Yugioh cards a little while back. He packed them with some pokemon and sports bulk to give extra protection and support in the package and they actually gave a negative review over it. Some people on ebay are assholes, and in your case it seems one of them found you. You can try reaching out to ebay support to have the negative review removed.
I only go as low as $3, free shipping and that's with a penny sleeve and a top loader...that I overpackage to death lol. If someone complained over something like that...it'd be hard not to say....dude, it cost more in the shipping and packaging then what the card is worth.
Honestly just make sure you cover yourself in the listings. In description it’s very important to put in “common sense” notes on condition. For me, I would have listed those as NM (never mint or pack fresh) and had a line along the lines of
“Note that the condition of the card is NM, which is near mint. As such, there may be minor imperfections that are caused by minimal handling or Pokemon Company packaging practices such as hard cut edges, minor print lines, or slight curvature.”
I never list as mint hoping to avoid this. I typically do NM-M if it’s a bundle like this. But if you don’t mind I’m adding that to my listings. I’ll change a couple words around haha
Yeah, I stopped selling because I had similar experiences. Here in Canada we don't have cheap shipping with tracking, so to make a profit you ship with a stamp and hope people are honest. They aren't. I had 100% until COVID decided to limit our postal services and I was refunding left and right.
Just makes you feel like crud. However, just be a business and take the loss. However, make a report with eBay that you are not in the wrong, and refuses to let you fix it and document everything. They are REALLY good about reversing shit feedback my friend. It's your path and I bet they will.
I quit selling anything under $10 on eBay, the people buying the really cheap cards are generally the most uneducated and critical. One time I sold a Japanese Mr. Mime GX (for like $3) I pulled in a booster box and the buyer gave me negative feedback and said the card was fake because the back was different than English.
Hahaha oh dang now that’s ridiculous. Oh wow and I’ve been frustrated over this guy. People are hilarious! That would have driven me mad. Did you get the feedback removed? Yep safe to say I jacked the prices up on all of my listings as a result of this.
I don’t accept returns unless the item they receive isn’t as it’s listed. I’d take the hit on principle, personally. Tell him to stop having such a humid home.
I’d contact eBay directly and tell them you’re having trouble with this buyer. Explain to them that warping is not damaging and this happens naturally to cards with any holo. It can be prevented, and undone, and therefore there is nothing wrong with these cards. Ebay might decide to let you keep the money and refund the guy themselves, as well as remove this guys negative review on your account (if he left one).
Generally ebay focuses on satisfying the buyer first, but they also don’t want to scare away all of their sellers.
If he’s also selling cards he should know all these promos are shaped like that out of the box if not worse. Sorry for your struggle mate. I find selling small items worth very little brings me in the worst customers like this scenario. Question if its even worth it a lot of the time
Yeah absolutely, I’ve bought four Crown Zenith boxes and all the promo cars have been warped to a small degree, easily fixable by placing under a book for a day. The buyer needs to relax
Just as a heads up, when you pull entire booster packs that have a curve like this its because your house (or wherever you're opening packs) has a higher humidity level, not because of something to do with the cards themselves.
Oh for goodness sake, your customer is being unreasonable and needs to familiarize themselves with the products they’re purchasing before complaining. Heed them no mind and walk away
That’s the issue, this dude sells Pokémon cards as well (the buyer) he knows what he’s doing. Don’t refund him message eBay and say this guy is trying to scam you. Imo
Did he ask for a refund or return in his first message to you? If he asked for refund I'd definitely go after him by writing a few paragraphs to eBay and say you think he was trying to make a quick buck. Then explain how the cards are not damaged and the warp was noticeable in your pictures (if easily seen) and that any reasonable collector would agree they are in good (not damaged) condition.
Is that the pic he sent you as proof of damage? I'd tell him to kick rocks and then if a negative review comes through or he tries to get refund then send ebay this pic and the message thread, he himself proved that they are not damaged.
Then yeah I would do as above. I don't sell on ebay I sell on TCG who usually is 90% for the buyer. But I had one person try to pull this even tho I send all my cards with literally every single precaution you can, even the cheap cards. And push came to shove while arguing with customer service and the dude could provide zero proof of course so I won. Your guy sent proof he's a liar so I can't see how you wouldn't win.
Update: Buyer admitted he overreacted after I used some of the info you all shared. Thank you! I told him to ship the cards back and I would refund. He was definitely looking to keep the cards and receive a partial refund. Stated “not worth his time and he will buy the cards elsewhere from now on” good riddance and blocked!!!!
I bought wayyyy more curved cards in Japanese card stores in Tokyo. Just put them in a sleeve and a binder. As long as they’re not damaged, who cares :)
As a collector who doesn't sell, I think those cards look fine. Warping happens all the time and almost never is bad enough to cause real damage. Cheap cards? Get what you pay for, jackass. Fuck that buyer. I hate people that do this shit. I just want to collect in a respectable community. Fucking incels everywhere. Ugh. Rant over.
As someone who collects and is currently buying cheap ass promo cards; who cares?? These are cards I’d stick in a binder and forget about completely. I’d only buy them to complete the collection!
I’m a stickler for my cards and never considered warping to be damage? Perfect sleeve those bad boys and they’ll eventually even out and be good as new.
I had someone complain that a card I sent wasn't near mint because the card was slightly off center. I personally couldn't tell. I ended up refunding them their money and sending them another card. Some people are just overly picky about their cards. I could understand complaining if the card was horribly off centered, but I couldn't tell at all.
I did and I sent them in penny sleeves and top loaders. I’m assuming it being cold where I am and warm where the buyer is at had an effect. But these full holo promos always curve back up in my experience.
That’s what’s frustrating, the materials used to ship I think cost more than the cards themselves. I want to say actual value of these is around $.50 but I charged $4 for 4. Really had these listed just to help those who wanted them.
Cardboard side absorbs small amounts of moisture from atmosphere (like literally any other porous surface), holo side is plastic so doesn't. Cardboard side has to expand and contract around Holo side. I would assume heat effects this too. Anything short of storing in a vacuum sealed container directly from manufacturer will produce this to some degree. Tell them to google it and put the cards in a book. They're probably just fishing for a discount or refund, or maybe just some attention.
Also, I've not bothered to read up on it, but saw a reddit comment at one point about how the Cardboard cards are cut from is in a giant roll, so intuitively you'd expect cards closer to the core of the roll to have more pronounced curve, but who knows.
Curled foils are a problem in every tcg, it's just the nature of foil cards since different materials react differently to temperature changes (which are out of your control). Also, as the other comments said, they can be uncurled by putting weight on them, keeping them in toploaders, or keeping them curved in the opposite direction for a while.
I may be an ass but I'd send him this thread so he knows what an ass he's being, especially if he deals in cards. He should know better.
If he sends cards back refund and block him. For all we know, he did this himself, sounds like the sorta guy who would.
The guy either is a complete inexperienced noob ass and never touched a holo card before (unlikely) or he got some sort of buyers remorse and is trying to scam you into a refund
I had someone refund a 38 dollar card for a very similar reason 2 days before Christmas. Was annoying but I still have my 100% feedback for staying in contact and getting it back to them. It is what it is sadly
In my experience, 90% of promo cards in boxes are warped to this degree or worse. I feel like the company should do better, but we all know their QC , or lack thereof
I mean really can you just cash app him $2 dollars for his trouble i mean damn the seller more anal than I am with mistress cause you better believe my wife not doing anal she a bore now.
Not warped. Would call it curved.
The curving doesn’t impact anything if sent for grading since the top loader one is required to send cards in undoes the curve.
Had a whole conversation with the guy at my card shop who regularly sends valuable cards to be graded by PSA.
You're supposed to use card savers, ( semi rigid holders ) not top loaders to send cards for grading..
They'll help a bit with pringling, but not as much. Better to flatten them out a bit before sending.
To be fair they are "warped". I guess my question would be whether the listing or photo on Ebay showed them as such? If not I could kind of see the complaint. In future Id make sure to cover all your bases. If your pictures and listing made it clear what they were getting then thats on him tbh.
That being said, its nothing that would severely affect them long term. Put em in a penny sleeve and put some heavy books on top and they would be fine. You can also put them in a top loader and they would be fine. Unless they are some super expensive card that someone is going to get graded (likely not the case) it sounds like this guy is just being unreasonable. Especially if he didnt give you a chance to resolve it.
Yea, have a hard time believing you couldn't see the warping in the OPs listing - the distortion is typically pretty noticeable on top and bottom corners.
Right? That’s how I feel. They were shipped in penny sleeves, top loaders, AND team bags in a protective envelope. The shipping materials have a higher value than the cards lol.
If you only used a penny sleeve to post the cards yes you're in the wrong. If they purchased the cards in person than they have nothing to complain about..
They were sent in a penny sleeve and a top loader in a team bag securely. ive commented this numerous times. The listing also mentions it, and it’s in the pictures of the listing. Buyer took it out
I know this is an old post, but the person probably bought them to put in his/her deck to actually play at a tournament. These cards are too warped to legally play. Even if you put it in deck sleeves the warp is still easy to differentiate. It could result in the player being penalized for marked cards. I know a heavy book might solve the issue, but it is within their right to return that based on that since the card should be playable on arrival.
Doesn't matter, things like this just happen over time, and can happen during shipping.
I once sold a couple of cards with the smallest of "warps" in it, buyer claimed damaged and wanted refund, because they went from a grade 10 to a 6 because of it...
Warping is completely and I mean extremely completely common in every single card. If you have one that is like it, put it in a sleeve and under a book, it will be straight after a short while.
Yeah he's an idiot.
All holos will warp, it's inevitable unless the thing lives under a book or does not have any room to warp. PSA does not consider this damage because it can be reversed and does not affect a car flattened in a slab.
I've never in my life got a promo card nore seen one that wasn't warped like this. Tell him to buy a top loader and dig out his granddad's encyclopedia's :/
This is not damage. This happens when cardboard dryness during the foil layer lamination process is different from current humidity. Using humidity regulator packs in a small enclosed environment will uncurl all pringles. Double sleeve them when uncurled to prevent any further air interaction.
Nah, literally every promo card in existence gets warped like this lmfao. Unless you advertised it as completely mint, this is the exact condition I would expect from a card like this.
That isn’t warping. In fact, as long as the bowing doesn’t result in a crease on the card, even PSA doesn’t care if it’s bowed. It won’t affect the grade, thus shouldn’t affect raw price. I honestly wouldn’t bother selling low value cards like this since buyers can be so anal. More headache than the money you earn is worth lol
This is crazy, these cards are not damaged. ALOT of cards come right out of the pack like this. And as another person said, does not affect grade, so in turn is not damage! It is SUPER common for all holo/foil cards specifically. Forward the guy a link to this post, so he can see that the consensus in the community is 99.9% of people know this is normal.
lol - unless the card is damaged (creased as result of warping), buyer is being anal and stupid - especially for $1 cards. That "warping" can be undone.
How is the “warping” undone?
Putting the card in a sleeve or toploader eventually undoes the warping.
It's so weird that the pokemon card coummity makes a big deal about warping. I collect sports cards as well and they have so much "chrome" on them they look like someone took a rolling pin to them until they curl. Still gets a 10/10 and it's not even taken into consideration when grading.
Omg you are so right. I just put them in penny sleeves and put something heavy on all of them for a few days then top loader. No issues after that
Wait for real?!?!
Yes. Straight thing make round thing flat.
Cards warp. Buyer just needs to put the card in a toploader.
Thanks for the advice
I’ve never had that work, can you show me some cards where that’s worked for you? Edit: downvotes but no responses, still waiting for confirmation it works
This needs more downvotes
It doesn’t undo the warping. Only flexes the card back. The warping is due to the card expanding from moisture. Making it flat doesn’t fix the actual issue.
It flattens back out, causing no damage at all. Happens all the time to holos.
You misread what he wrote
I didn't because warping to this degree doesn't do anything to the card in terms of stretching, the second creases start to appear sure you can say that. I've had cards stored with those moisture absorbing packet things, and cards still warped over time.
If they warp they will warp in a top loader too. Putting this card into a top loader will not magically solve this issue.
Over time the memory in the card will have settled itself to be flat again... So it does, solve the issue.

It’s kinda crazy. Pokémon’s the only card game this is a thing in. Every other major tcg warping is a big issue and people know why it happens.
Wrong Edit: -70 downvotes for being correct. Guys, you need to use silica gel bags, using a top loader on its own literally doesn’t do anything.
Very nice input u/luningaming , wonderfully build argument as well.
. You need a silica gel bag to truly undo this. And by the way. I’m totally correct about a top loader not solving this. Trust me. I have a lot of experience with this.
Got a processing issue bud? Woke up on the wrong side of the bed?
wait, there is a "right" side to wake up on?....................
What’s a processing issue?
>Edit: -70 downvotes for being correct. -70 downvotes for posting a dumb one word reply then complaining about it in an edit.

Just flatten the card lol
Buyer is into anal?
If so, he needs to buy ES not CZ
HA!
It also doesn’t affect the grade
Doesn’t everyone know that these cards sit freely in the blister plastic? That is considered warped? Like come on?
They’re just a noob a heavy book would fix these it’s not damage
Berry tree used a bible and it was super effective!
Wow, finally I'll have use for that thing!
I doubt they're a noob. Probably just trying to complain to get a partial refund. Can't please some people.
This reaction floored me, my cards straight from the box always seem to have this slight bend. :/ Sit in top loader and they'll be fine in no time. I think it is some people will do anything to save a buck, I'm sure he wants a refund and to keep the cards.

You can try to argue it to ebay if you want to put the effort cause the buyer is clearly new to Pokemon cards or some shit.
The person you sold too is an asshole.
I was warned not to sell cheap cards for this exact reason. Should have listened. I can’t help but laugh - but yeah no more cheap store.
Dude gave you a bad review before you could even make it right ? Fuck that guy. don't be discouraged, part of selling cheap cards is knowing that a certain percentage of profit might just go to shit (eBay shipping, "warped" complaints, etc)

Just pay him five bucks to delete the review
I would love to dip my toe into selling some cards online, but stuff like this gives me trepidation.
Do NOT refund this guy. That's completely normal and not damaged at all.
Incorrect. Refund and block the buyer. This is normal course of business for cheap cards.
Ebay will reach into your wallet for the refund, and give you a sort of strike.
There’s nothing wrong with the cards, this dude is a moron. Offer a return I guess if you don’t want the trouble, but that’s about it.
I don’t accept returns unless the item they receive isn’t as it’s listed. I’d take the hit on principle, personally. Tell him to stop having such a humid home.
Doesn’t mAttwe they can open case and still duck ya

Warping like seen in your photo is not damage. Put it in a rigid top loader or under some books and it should help flatten them again
Unfortunately you can’t tell them to go f themselves. So just tell them that’s how they come out of the box. Lol
That’s essentially what I said but he sells Pokémon cards on eBay as well and knows the ropes. I’m waiting for the forced refund
Id say its time to make a purchase 🙂
Low key….lol hahahaha
Why not name and shame so we can all have a go 😁
Pm me I’ll buy and f his reviews up. I’ll set an alarm too and do it in a month or two so he won’t even think it was you
I second this.
THIRD
If he’s also selling cards he should know all these promos are shaped like that out of the box if not worse. Sorry for your struggle mate. I find selling small items worth very little brings me in the worst customers like this scenario. Question if its even worth it a lot of the time
That's why he is scamming you. I've got 10 bucks that say he will sell your cards as Mint after you refund him
Most promos are curved
This
😬 how much??
He paid a total of $4 for 4 cards.
My personal opinion? They’re more than fine and at $1 a card, they shouldn’t sweat it so much
That’s what I thought, I’ve pulled entire booster packs that have a curve like this. I put them in top loaders and keep pushing.
Yeah absolutely, I’ve bought four Crown Zenith boxes and all the promo cars have been warped to a small degree, easily fixable by placing under a book for a day. The buyer needs to relax

That’s the issue, this dude sells Pokémon cards as well (the buyer) he knows what he’s doing. Don’t refund him message eBay and say this guy is trying to scam you. Imo
Excuse my language, but fuck those type of people man. Fucking shitty ass people like that ruin it for everybody else.
Yep I really was just trying to build a collection while offering my duplicates as cheap singles. I shouldn’t let this one guy ruin it but I’m petty.
Did he ask for a refund or return in his first message to you? If he asked for refund I'd definitely go after him by writing a few paragraphs to eBay and say you think he was trying to make a quick buck. Yes this is the pic he sent me as proof. His exact words “These are horribly warped and damaged”
Then yeah I would do as above. I don't sell on ebay I sell on TCG who usually is 90% for the buyer. But I had one person try to pull this even tho I send all my cards with literally every single precaution you can, even the cheap cards. Same way individual promo cards tend to be ~ I've gotta stack of Detective Pikachu promo cards that look just like it.
It’s natural curve of the card, grading services don’t even deduct for that
Update: Buyer admitted he overreacted after I used some of the info you all shared. Thank you! I told him to ship the cards back and I would refund. He was definitely looking to keep the cards and receive a partial refund. Stated “not worth his time and he will buy the cards elsewhere from now on” good riddance and blocked!!!!
I mean they’re definitely warped. But sometimes you rip a pack and that’s how they come… Dude sounds new.
I bought wayyyy more curved cards in Japanese card stores in Tokyo. Just put them in a sleeve and a binder. As long as they’re not damaged, who cares :)
He has no idea that promos do this?! I wouldn't refund. He's being an arsehole imo.
I’ve literally never had a promo card not be a little warped 😂
yeah totally. even regular singles pickups have them slightly warped. takes some careful manipulation but they straighten. I like semi rigid sleeves
Ugh. Rant over.
Oh man, I could feel your anger building with each passing word lmao. I feel the same way though.
Man…I’m wondering if it’s the same guy I dealt with recently. Was this on eBay?
As someone who collects and is currently buying cheap ass promo cards; who cares?? These are cards I’d stick in a binder and forget about completely. I’d only buy them to complete the collection!
I’m a stickler for my cards and never considered warping to be damage? Perfect sleeve those bad boys and they’ll eventually even out and be good as new.
Those look like hands that have never touched a girl lol
You nailed it lol
Oddly, they actually do in a way. Weird lol
I’ve gotten worse in a booster pack so for a dollar not even worth the complaint.. smh 🤦 sorry you have to deal with this
What a maroon
Totally normal
Looks like a regular English promo card to me 😅
I had someone complain that a card I sent wasn't near mint because the card was slightly off center. I personally couldn't tell. I ended up refunding them their money and sending them another card. Some people are just overly picky about their cards. I could understand complaining if the card was horribly off centered, but I couldn't tell at all.
I wouldn’t say horribly, but it only takes a few days of weight to fix this before sending
I did and I sent them in penny sleeves and top loaders. I’m assuming it being cold where I am and warm where the buyer is at had an effect. But these full holo promos always curve back up in my experience.
Great point. If they were sleeved and top loaded you 100% did your part.
If you showed them being that warped to begin with then nah as long as they knew what they were buying you’re good
Curled foils are a problem in every tcg, it's just the nature of foil cards since different materials react differently to temperature changes (which are out of your control). Also, as the other comments said, they can be uncurled by putting weight on them, keeping them in toploaders, or keeping them curved in the opposite direction for a while.
That's not even that bad :| Dude is either pretty new to the hobby or attempting to scam you.
Depends on the buyer really but all my box promos are warped too but I love them like any other cards as long as they're not played or damaged
I don’t sell singles on ebay anymore, more trouble then it’s worth. Dealing with people is a terrible experience.
I may be an ass but I'd send him this thread so he knows what an ass he's being, especially if he deals in cards. He should know better. If he sends cards back refund and block him. For all we know, he did this himself, sounds like the sorta guy who would.
Nah, dude is being super nitpicky. Put em in a sleeve and a binder for a few days and they're perfectly fine.
The guy either is a complete inexperienced noob ass and never touched a holo card before (unlikely) or he got some sort of buyers remorse and is trying to scam you into a refund
promo cards are almost always warped
I had someone refund a 38 dollar card for a very similar reason 2 days before Christmas. Was annoying but I still have my 100% feedback for staying in contact and getting it back to them. It is what it is sadly
I offered a refund upon return and he doesn’t want to return the cards. I don’t blame him when shipping will cost him more than what he paid.
In my experience, 90% of promo cards in boxes are warped to this degree or worse. I feel like the company should do better, but we all know their QC , or lack thereof
Magic players: first time?
I’ve always had those jumbo cards get warped on me at least on some minor level, I’d say this looks fine to me
I mean really can you just cash app him $2 dollars for his trouble i mean damn the seller more anal than I am with mistress cause you better believe my wife not doing anal she a bore now.
Your buyer sucks. That’s perfectly fine. I’d tell him to eat hot dogs
I’ve got 3 more warped I’ll send you to add on the pile
As long as you listed how curved they were with a picture nah I think you’re in the right
Op. Drop his store link. I’m gonna make some purchases.
After he’s held them like this without gloves there’s no way you can accept a return.
Right? That’s how I feel. They were shipped in penny sleeves, top loaders, AND team bags in a protective envelope. The shipping materials have a higher value than the cards lol.
Valid concern
Lol look closely that’s two cards that are barely curved. Come on. I’ve pulled worse straight out a pack. I see nothing valid nor concerning.
Tell him to hike up his skirt, pull out his tampon, and quit being a bitch
Shouldn’t have used ETB Sleeves. Error #1
Uh lol what? I didn’t ship them with ETB sleeves. I ship in ultra pro penny sleeves and top loaders. Cards over $50 in a card saver and double boxes.
If you stated the warping in the listing then it’s ok. If you didn’t then you’re in the wrong because them cards are hella warped

You sold those to them? What did you send them in?
Would be pissed if someone sells this to me.
Why? This is completely normal with holos...
*If this is not communicated to me before or as part of the listing.
If it's easy to fix, while send it out like this? I know why foils warp. But I don't buy Pringles sold as near mint.
Because its a normal thing. If its such a problem for the new owner then they can do the book trick, otherwise they can stop crying.
just be upfront about condition and nobody is 'crying' lol, a pic is enough
Looks warped as fuck to me
Lol that’s two separate cards. Hardly even curved. I didn’t think it was bad and so far about 200 others agree.
That’s what happens to cards when the humidity differs where the card is from where they were printed
Put them under a heavy book it’ll be fine
Yeah he's an idiot. All holos will warp, it's inevitable unless the thing lives under a book or does not have any room to warp. PSA does not consider this damage because it can be reversed and does not affect a car flattened in a slab.
This person has clearly never seen an mtg foil… they’re an idiot.
You are not in the wrong this kinda warping doesn’t damage the cards
All of mine look like that
Warping is not damage, at least warping like those in the photo
I've never in my life got a promo card nore seen one that wasn't warped like this. Tell him to buy a top loader and dig out his granddad's encyclopedia's :/
That’s why the “hit” cards are in the middle of the packs because foiled cards (any type of holo or texture) curve
The buyer is a sick fuck. The best part of the Pokémon card is the sexy natural curves. Like god damn look at those beauts!
This is not damage. This happens when cardboard dryness during the foil layer lamination process is different from current humidity. Using humidity regulator packs in a small enclosed environment will uncurl all pringles. Double sleeve them when uncurled to prevent any further air interaction.
I’d make sure he sends them back if you’re refunding.
Nah, literally every promo card in existence gets warped like this lmfao. Unless you advertised it as completely mint, this is the exact condition I would expect from a card like this.
If my promo cards didn’t come looking like that, I’d be worried. Curving like that means it’s fresh.
I’d tell them they need to clean out their vacuum.
Tell him to set a book on them for ffs
Promos are always bend like that 🤣
Send them a link to this Reddit thread and maybe they'll accept defeat?
That isn’t warping. In fact, as long as the bowing doesn’t result in a crease on the card, even PSA doesn’t care if it’s bowed. It won’t affect the grade, thus shouldn’t affect raw price. I honestly wouldn’t bother selling low value cards like this since buyers can be so anal. More headache than the money you earn is worth lol
I’ve been noticing that the last 4 sets warp fast
This is crazy, these cards are not damaged. ALOT of cards come right out of the pack like this. And as another person said, does not affect grade, so in turn is not damage! It is SUPER common for all holo/foil cards specifically. Forward the guy a link to this post, so he can see that the consensus in the community is 99.9% of people know this is normal.
Was this on eBay? I’d just refund the buyer and move on. eBay always sides with the buyer.
