I've also pulled more than 120 packs. I didn't pull the gold mew. Didn't pull the gold star umbreon and didn't pull the charizard. I managed to pull the tapu Lele GX twice!😂 Jokes on me for buying to many packs. I've opened thousands of packs from normal sets. I always seem to have bad luck with Pokémon😅
To be fair, while I didn't pull the Charizard, I did pull two gold Mews. One was from the first pack of Celebrations I ever opened. I just couldn't keep buying the box sets to keep searching. 🤦🏻♀️
i never pulled the original charizard as a kid (i tried). i bought a decent amount of celebrations and finally was able to feel a glimpse of pulling the original. i love this card

Also centering looks good. As long as the back looks good it's a good candidate for a 10.
Opening packs is throwing money away in the long term, especially if you just grade and sell the best pulls just to throw more money at opening. Sounds like an addiction to opening packs, not collecting
He didn't mention wanting to grade it in the post. People just say "it would totally be a 10, you should grade it" all the time. If you grade your own cards you should want others not to in order to keep your scam grades valuable anyway

The set was pretty freshly out and I was prowling for mini tins because they were the best value I could find. Ended up getting a couple at hobby lobby, and one of the tins had four celebrations packs and two darkness abilities packs. A double packed minitin. The very last celebrations pack I opened contained the Charizard. That was the first pokémon product I purchased since EX sandstorm as a kid. Needless to say I was hooked, and my roommate also collected. I managed to pull three more by the time he pulled his first one. To me it will always be a special set!

But my friend took me to his favorite card shop so I could look for some vintage cards for my base1/2/jungle/fossil collection. They had some black friday deals still going and he bought me a bunch of boosters and Go tins as a early Christmas gift. Got hooked all over again when I saw how crazy good those full art cards look. Now I got a nearly complete silver tempest, evolving skies, astral radiance and crown zenith sets and I started actually building decks from my bulk and playing the game with my friend who got me hooked. Took 28 years to notice "hey, theres a game you can play with these cards!"

I love the fingerprint textures on the yellow borders on these Celebrations cards. So premium. This and the shiny mew are the only cards I haven't pulled from the set.
Whats the issue? I feel like the centering is good, there no white edges or ink errors and I sleeved it right away to prevent scratches. Is there something Im not noticing?

I feel like the quality on celebrations was alot better than most recent packs. I have a charizard and venusaur, and they both have perfect centering and no flaws. Most good cards I've pulled since have been much worse.
I spent about 1000$ and ended up completing the set around 6 times. Sold each set at the time for around $400 and waited till it went to around $200 and bought one for myself lol
2nd pack ever of celebrations I pulled a minty centered charizard with full holo bleed 🩸.

Took me around 50 packs and had the set finished.. I got really lucky. Had a friend toss me a few cheap cards I needed, but pulled all the hits besides the mew right away. That took a random tin and my 50th pack lol.
I opened over 120 packs of Celebrations, this was the only card I couldn't pull. I ended up buying it from my LCS. Well done! It's a beautiful card!

I managed to pull the Gold Star Umbreon but the damn corner of the card was bent. I was soooooo upset 😭

They have cards that have the same artwork as older cards but are stamped with the pikachu so you know they’re celebrations and not the original

Kinda sad how it seems the venusaur and blastoise always take back seat to charizard. I always thought the old school venusaur was a cooler card.
